Question Camera users - HELP!

OK, I admit it -- I'm technically challenged! Basically -- CLUELESS!!!

So here I am asking for help from all you smart people.

I have a new digital camera. I am thrilled that I have even figured out how to take a picture of my card, get it onto the computer, crop it & resize it so I can upload, but all of my cards seem to be kinda small when you bring them up to view. They are also not as clear (crisp - not sure what word I'm looking for here) as they should be -- they look like they're out of focus.

So how do I get them to be big & focused? So you can see what I'm talking about, here's one of mine:

And here is a nice big, clear one:

I appreciate any help you can give me - detailed explanations are good!

The editing software that you use for your pictures will help you with this. When you are taking pictures of cards with light color ink it normally doesn't show up to well. Check your software, there should be a button that says enhance photo - that will help with your color problem. Also look for the resize button - on mine it's image then resize - then I can see how small my picture is. The program I use is Jasc Paint Shop Pro, but I'm sure they are all pretty much alike. HTH

Hi!

Since it's so blurry, you are probably standing (or, more likely squatting like me!) closer than the minimum focusing distance for your camera. It should say in your manual what the distance is. It is about 5-8 feet with your average camera.

Another thing to keep in mind is, the larger you try to make a small photo, the grainier (more pixelized) it will become, and you will lose the fine details.

I use Adobe Photoshop to crop and resize my photos, and you can also change the brightness/contrast and color, etc.

HTH! I think having any picture, even a slightly blurry one, is better than not having a gallery at all!
