I am new to this website and new to stamping. I am going to my first SU workshop in about an hour and after reading all your cool posts I am concerned about the status of my credit card. I may sign on the dotted line tonight. I started scrapbooking a month or so ago because I need to finish a book started 4 years ago. I have been collecting a lot of stuff and now need to start scrapping. The cards just seemed a natural progression and I am embossing as well! I hope to talk more with all of you.
I have been waiting for paperwork to arrive all week from my demonstrator to complete and get it into the mail so that I too may become a demonstrator. I am putting it into the mail today!
I have been scrapbooking for 6 years (very sporadically, I'm sorry to say) but only recently got into card making and stamping (thanks to a co-worker of mine). I'm like a sponge, eagerly looking for opportunities to learn and become more skilled.
I'm in awe of some of the beauty and inspiration in the works of art I see on your posted pages. I can only hope that someday I too will become so talented.
Hi! I have been browsing this site and talent for a few months. I recently became an SCS member because of all how much I use the site for myself and my classroom (I teach 5th grade). I have been stamping with my mom for years! I don't own a digital camera or scanner, therefore my gallery is empty. I have been stamping a ton lately to keep busy while I am waiting for my boyfriend to complete his medical discharge from the Army and relocate here! I truly enjoy all the wonderful ideas and enjoy all the ideas for my SU sets. Thanks!
I sent off my paperwork last week and am waiting for my Demo ID and kit to get here! I'm really excited. I'm a novice stamper and am really enjoying reading everything and getting acclimated.
I have been scrapbooking for 2 years and going to stampin workshops for 1 year. Someone there told me of this site and I joined. I am amazed at all the talent. The thing that frustrates me the most on this site is the complexity of it. Trying to simply find a card with a stamset I have and then trying to find where the directions might be. I fill like I am going in circle or asking for e-mail directions that I never get. I am very frustrated. Any pointers would be appreciated.

Well, I went to my first workshop last thursday night and I am sending in my paperwork this morning. I had so much fun I couldn't stand it! I am still trying to decide if I should stick to the cardstock and ink in the kit or switch it out. Don't really care for the bold brights as much as rich regals but have read a lot of your advice and it seems everyone thinks the kit is good as is. Haven't really decided if I am going full swing or do this to feed my habit. I am really new to stamping so at this point would not feel comfortable doing workshop. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks
Steph
I'm in a similar situation in that I am awaiting my kit, and am all pumped up about it, but I have never even attended a workshop! I have been scrapbooking for a long time and am relatively new to stamping, but I'm sure my enthusiasm will compensate for my lack of knowledge. This website is fabulous for inspiration and help.
I already had many of the items listed on kit list, so I just went through and ordered (when I could) the items that I didn't have. The nice thing about being creative is that we can take any project and modify it to any color scheme to produce beautiful work. So I'm sure you will end up using whatever you order!
I have never done this sort of thing before, but I am hooked on stamping and scrapbooking and my friends think I am strange, but I find it relaxing. I thought I would try this for some new ideas. I checked out the soot stamping and it looks really good. As soon as I get the acrylic sealer I plan to try it. Let's hope I don't burn the house down! ;)

Reason: I'm not a card stock collector, I have already messed up
Hey there my name is AnneMarie. I recently became a stampin up demonstrator (September 7th) and just attended my first workshop this past weekend in Calgary Alberta. I've been lurking on this site for months and just signed up to be a member recently too! I LOVE all the cards in the forum. I hope I have even 1/10 the talent all of you show. Well gotta go put the kidlets to bed just thought I'd introduce myself.
