Default New here

I just joined I just started to get a little more interest & serious about stamping and making cards. I have a few stamps, ink pads, embossing powder, paper etc. I have made a few cards for friends & family. I am not real sure of when and how to use the various products like what what kind of ink works on what kind of paper, am I heating my embossing powder long enough or too long, etc. I also like some ideas on how to do or design cards because right now I am not very familar with the different techiques.
One big barier I have is I don't have much room to make cards and I can't leave my supplies out if I am going to work on them for a few days if I am going to be working on them so it makes it difficult to work on doing cards like would like too.
I hope I can get some of that here, I had someone from another website suggest this site to me. I also hope to get to know more of you stampers out there.

Hello and welcome from Ohio. Pull up a comfy chair, grab a cup of coffee or tea and be prepared to sit awhile. This place is very addicting.

I am new as well and hope I do this correct! You mention a concern for space and what to do with your stamping gear and projects started in between stamping. I recently purchased a computer armoire strictly for stamping. I use the keyboard area for the project I am working on. It can easily be pushed in and the doors can shut so my project is protected from "little hands". Also, I put a dowl on the inside of the door and have my ribbon on it so I can easily access the ribbon of my choice. My paper is put in a seperated bin which goes on the area for the printer. It is so nice to close the doors and when I come back it is just as it was! They take up so little space as well!

Thanks for the suggestion. I will have to keep that in mind unfortunately I don't have space for one right now and I can't afford one but hopefully in time I can get to that point.
