I have read that this site began as a demonstrator's way of keeping in touch with her downline, who were located on both coasts of the U.S....thus the "Splitcoast".
Hi Geneal, thanks for the welcome! I have been checking out the gallery for a while now, so I definitely know that there's lots for me to learn and be inspired by!
Ahh, now I can see that my replies go to the bottom of the stack!
So to those of you who have welcomed me so far and said Hi! Thanks and hi right back to you all!
Noddy, thanks for your nice comments about Cornwall. It really is a very special place (as you know!) and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else! Though I do love to hear about other places, especially those by the sea :-)
Have a great weekend everyone and Melissa, I'll start stalking the postlady!
Welcome to SCS! I've just been browsing holiday cottages in Cornwall - it's so beautiful and I loved our holiday there way back in... er... 1990 I think it was - I know Margaret Thatcher resigned while we were there!!! I'd love to go again (the children would love it) but we've ruled it out for a while because we can't face the car journey from Derbyshire!!! :???:
Hi Bagpuss, thanks for the welcome. Come back to Cornwall soon - you could always fly to Newquay airport instead of driving and hire a car once down here!
By the way, how are your tomaahtos? Mine are ripening beautifully!
