Talking help with colors please!

hi i am new here..i need help w/colors.. have 3 x 3 photos over 30 yrs old..they look old.. i want to use some print paper but cant seem to find the right colors.. i have alot of solid browns blacks yellows & golds..any ideas?

Mono tone colors always look best to me with older photos. Thay become classic looking instead of outdated. Try different shades of grey and black, different tones of beige and brown. If you do it right they will be timeless.

And if monocromatic is really not your thing, try adding just one accent color to the monochromatic theme you choose. Liike navy, red or mustard (also all classics!) Have fun with it!

Wow, it sounds very interesting. I have some very old photos I've been saving from my Grandfather's collections. When you get your pictures done, be sure and show us some of them...I will be looking forward to seeing what you have done.
