Hi Everyone~
I am new to the site and new to stamping. My wonderful neighbor invited me to visit her stamping group a couple weeks ago and I loved it!! I had such a wonderful time and I am so excited about it!! FInally something for me!!! Whoo!! Hoo!!!!
I have a ton of questions-
~What does everyone do on the inside of their cards? Do you write in them? Stamp something inside?
~ How about the envelopes to you decorate them as well?
~What do you suggest to buy when you are just getting started? Where do you purchase most of your supplies?
~Any suggestions of what NOT to do when you are looking to start purchasing things?
~ANy newbie advise??
Many, many thanks and best wishes to all of you!!
Marcy
I also consider myself as a newbie, as I have only been stamping a little over a year and 1/2. I have many sets, mostly retired that I bought on ebay or thru other sources. Card classes are great. You get good ideas. Also the gallery here is great. All the stamp sets... you click on a set you are thinking about and see what others have done with that set. Great way to get a lot of ideas.
As for inside the card... I usually stamp a verse. SU has come great phrase sets. On the envelope I might stamp something like is small like from the set I used for the card. Or I love the clear envelopes, then I don't stamp the envelope.
Welcome Marcy. You will love it here and soon be addicted. I sometimes leave the inside blank, or I will stamp a small image on the inside that coordinates with the cardfront. I also do the same on the envelope. But, I am a bit OCD with everything being matched and balanced.
I am new to this also. I am trying to find my way around. I love stamping. It is a huge stress reliever for me. Can't wait to visit with all you wonderful stampers.
