Question My first post - help needed

My name is Denise and this is my first post. I just wanted to say what an awesome website this is and I am glad I found it - my DH not so much.

I have a problem - I am a botanical addict. Every single set I own has something to do with a flower or a tree or a leaf.

I need a recommendation for a set that contains none of the above that I will get tons and tons of use from. I'm on a pretty tight budget and can't afford a lot of different sets or inks or cardstock. I've been using the ink spots so I can figure out which colors I really like before I invest in the larger pads. Any and all suggestions are most welcome.

Thank you all for this wonderful community. I've gotten some great ideas to get my supplies to be more versatile. Thanks again everyone - you are awesome!!!

Hi Denise and welcome to the site!

I have Mini Mates...28 small stamps, half are sayings and half are images. (There IS a small flower stamp in there) LOL but there are a lot of different images that can cover just about any occasion.
Just one idea for you.....I'm sure you'll get more. Good luck

First of all, WELCOME! You'll love it here.

Okay, a set that doesn't have a flower in it that you will get a lot of use from... hmm.... Well, you could always get a greetings set (one that is just words), like one of the All Year Cheer ones (they are kinda pricey though). Most of the reasonably priced sets that I use a lot have flowers (of some sort) in them! Hmm, tougher than I thought. Ladies, any suggestions???!!!

Oh, and I agree w/ Cathy, Mini Mates would be a good set for a nice variety of images.

Question Thanks

Thank you I'll check my idea book for mini mates.

As a followup - are there any of the retiring sets that are "must haves"?

Dear Denise,
Welcome to you from SE Kansas.
You could always buy a new set and if it's not what you anticipated, then SWAP it on SCS in the SWAP section!
God bless you,
DeborahSue
