WOW what an exotic location! Welcome from the very non-exotic Austin, TX!
I have some good links in my signature to help get you settled and please let me know if I can help you with anything.

Hi Anne, welcome to SCS. we are originally from Nottingham many moons ago.
My husband has fond memories of a holiday on the Isle of Man when he was a boy.

Hi Jan, nice to meet you. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you - I was getting some Malware warnings about the site and also had to re-register (my fault).
So after the false start, I'm up and running. Glad your husband liked the Isle of Man, it is a beautiful place although a wee bit wild-and-windy at the moment. We haven't been to Nottingham but hope to do a bit more travelling once our daughter has finished University.

Hi Anne, hope you get to travel, it's an expensive time when they are at university, as we know, if you get to Nottingham make sure you have your phone taken with the statue of Brian Clough, of Nottingham forest, my husband still follows them! If ever our sons go to Nottingham they always send their dad a photo with his hero Brian, yes sad I know.

Will do Although my hubby is not a footie fan - he's a sci-fi fan
I've just had a look at your gallery, your cards are gorgeous. Later on today I'm going to learn how to upload pics to my gallery and try and find my way around a bit more.

Nice to meet you, Anne - I've spent two brief holidays on the !oM and really loved it. Recently I've been reading several books by Manx writers on my Kindle and it's made me want to go back, so maybe we'll meet up one day!

Hello Fiona, nice to meet you too
So glad you like the Isle of Man. I've never been to Hampshire - so many places I haven't seen in my own country
I've just visited your blog (and become a follower) - your embroidered letter cards are really beautiful. Take carexxx

Thank you Anne - that's kind of you! I didn't do much card making or blogging last year because of family problems but I hope to do much more of both this year

Hi Fiona, welcome, I find my blog is the last thing I do! I had a look at your blog and you have some lovely cards, I hope you get to craft more this year, I was lucky enough to have a very early retirement so I have plenty of time to craft.
Many thanks Anne for you kind comments on my gallery.
