Heart Finally making my first post!

Hi everyone,

I've been lurking on SCS for the past two years but I've finally decided to make my first post. I've learned so much from this community that its probably time I start giving back, hehe.

So a little about me....I moved to Germany from Kentucky 3 years ago with my German husband. I like it here of course, but it do get a little homesick from time to time.

Especially about the craft stores! Germans just don't do crafting in the same way we Americans do. There are a few craft stores but they are more all purpose DIY with generic yarn, styrofoam, jewelry bits, etc. There are no brand names like Heidi Swapp, Ranger, WRMK....to get that stuff I have to import it in from the UK or America.

But they do have Stampin Up, so I'm very happy about that!

Anyway, thats enough about me. I just wanted to say hello and thank you all for the tutorials, answers, and information over the past few years.

Hi from Wisconsin!

This is such a great place as you probably know. Looking forward to seeing more of your posts now that you've decided to take the leap. LOL!

Hi and welcome!!

I imagine that was a shock to move away! I hope you can get settled into a good crafty community in Germany - I love the German SU blogs - there are some great crafters over there!

I'm happy you're here - please let me know if I can help you with anything!

You are so right Lydia, it was a big culture shock. But living in a different country has really helped me grow and develop as a "person on Earth" as opposed to just thinking about myself as "American."

I am super glad for the SU community over here. I'm surprised you are familiar with the German SU blogs - do you speak any German? Also, I'd love to hear some of your favorites. One can never have too much inspiration, right?

Anyway, thanks for the welcome!
