Just thought I would introduce myself. I am a wedding planner living in Alabama. I never knew that the scrap booking world was so vast. I have a lot to learn I am not yet into scrap booking but I learned about this site from my SU demonstrator and she thinks it will help in my wedding invitation design. I think she is right. I look forward to learning a lot.
Oh this place is definitely addicting, to say the least. I went to Alabama for the first time ever a few weeks ago for a Copic Certification Class in Birmingham and right across the street was a Super Target, also a first for me. I thought that I died and went to heaven, so my time spent in Alabama has been great! I'd also like to visit the Gulf Shores one day too.
Oh this place is definitely addicting, to say the least. Super Target is a wallet theft waiting to happen (lol). I hope you do get to visit Gulf Shores it is a lot of fun without as much traffic as Florida.

I am from Florence, AL and have been on SCS for about 2 yrs. Absolutely love it and the people. Made lots of friends and am totally addicted to cardmaking. I think you'll enjoy being here. Speaking of Orange Beach and Gulf Shores, I am worried sick about the oil spill.

Welcome! Just left Alabama a couple weeks ago. Son graduated from the University of Alabama (Tuscaloosa) and I have a daughter who is now a junior there. It was my first visit and we live in California. SO different than Calif. Had a blast there!
There is so much sharing here. Have fun and soak it all in!

Congrats to your son on his graduation. Love the University of Alabama..I have family members graduated from there, too. My DH and I always go to
all of the Alabama home football games. Makes for a wonderful Fall season.
Oh my gosh, having the university win the National Championship in football my son's senior year (and my daughter's soph year) was amazing for them! When we were on campus a couple weeks ago, we even saw (and touched) the Heisman Trophy. It's on display for everyone to see and appreciate. The campus looked like what I expect an Ivy League campus to look like. Gorgeous and we could not have had a better time!

Awesome place! We were so thrilled about the National Championship last year. We have several but it had been a while. I hope your children are avid Crimson Tide fans.
I live about 2 1/4 hrs. north of Tuscaloosa. My sis and brother live there. Lucky them!!! I really do like the area and visit often. So good to know you're on SCS. I've been here almost 2 yrs. and love it.

I was working in Florence one time - we went to the most fabulous restaurant there for lunch. They served Strawberry Pretzel Salad - so SOUTHERN. I make it at home, but had NEVER saw it on a menu anywhere.

OMG, what were you doing in Florence? Did you go to school here? I have to admit I have never heard of nor had Strawberry Pretzel Salad. Ooh, I hope that doesn't mean I'm not a true Southern. LOL I would love to find some and get a taste of it. I love the South, too and so glad you do. I've lived in Alabama all my life. Love everything about it...beaches, especially.
Well, I love everything except the humidity. :( It' a real bummer.
