Educational Party for home school Moms

Hello out there! I'm hoping maybe some of you home schooling Mom's or Educators could give me a couple of ideas. I am doing a party for home schooled kids and their Mom's. The kids are doing the stamping. We are making flashcards with the younger ones and book marks with the older ones. They are all making cards for Grandparents Day. My friend who is hosting this would like me to present the catalog from an educational point of view. In other words how can Stamping Up's products be used to teach with. The alphabets are an obvious choice but can any of you educators out there let me know how you use the products in your teaching. You girls on this site are all so great about sharing. Thanks in advance.

Here are some ideas off the top of my head:

Stamp and then color in: work on fine motor skills (for young children) - could also use aquapainter for watercoloring

Any stamp set would work for creating art and working on color, dimension, design, etc.

Depending on the unit of study, projects could be created for them. ex - history - vintage sets and create items using the distressed look techniques, etc; science - flower identification and correct colors for the blooms...

Math challenges to create a card/project using certain dimensions (create a box that is 2" x 5", card that is 5" x 7", etc.

After writing a story, use stamps to create the pictures for a book.

Foreign languages: create flashcards or worksheets using the foreign language word for the item

Color Coach: shows the color wheel and complementary/contrast colors

Just some ideas... hope this helps some!

Fractions and decimals made fun!!! Since we are always using 4.25x5.5 card fronts and then having to mat them and all that... and the list above is awesome!
Also it will help with the English dept when they have to compose thank you notes and other notes to others.
Also, my mom who is still homeschooling my brothers is going to have the boys make cards for the Troops and show them where the troops are stationed and where their cards will be going to...it can lead into geography and cultural studies! Click the link below my signature for info on where to send the cards to the troops if you are interested in that idea...the possibilities are endless.
