Dutchie has arrived new here!
Hi,
I got this link from a friend and this forum is awesome. So many beautiful cards, new techniques. I love it! I am no demo, just wish I could be, but over here in The Netherlands (yes I was told about the new set and ordered it!!)we can only buy from the US. I wrote to SU! but no, not in Europe (hope they will change their policy soon, ready to give up my job and learn all about SU! and start a business over here!! ). Great SU!friends trough yahoogroups, but love to be part of this family too!
Take a peek at my website: http://www.geocities.com/hetty4you
Hope we will do a lot of sharing in the near future.
Thanks for having me.
Hetty

Hi Hetty!
I share your pain over no SU! in Europe! I too wrote to them but was told they had no current plans to expand over here Perhaps we shoud get all 9000+ people on this site to write and plague them about expansion!!!!!
Welcome to the site Its great to have another person on this side of the pond!!!!

I love Holland!
Hi Hetty,
I just wanted to say hello to you... I got all excited when I saw you were from the Netherlands. My parents immigrated from Holland and two of my older sister's were born there before they came to the US! All of my dad's side of the family still lives there. My family hopes to take a trip there either next summer or the summer after that! I can't wait.
Happy stamping!

I am new to this community. I was also excited to see someone from The Netherlands. My grandfather immigrated from Holland whose last name was Oosterhout and is my maiden name. Anyway, I was thrilled to see the stamp set called Netherlands and look forward to buying it soon. Also, I love your website and your cards are beautiful.

Welcome Hetty!
My maiden name is Van Derveer! I must have a few distant relatives still in your country.
I checked out your site and I just LOVE your spinner card!
Makes me want to get the set!

Welcome aboard!!
I love your website and your spinner cards! I used to live somewhat close to you in Germany (army brat). We're planning on going back to Europe next summer. We have friends in Sweden and they want us to come visit in July '05. I'm also hoping to have time to visit Scotland to see where my mother's family is from (McCoy).
Lots of great folks here, all levels of experience and best of all everyone is right there to help if you need it. Grab a favorite beverage and jump right in.

Welcome Dutchy!
This is the best site Hetty! I forsee many "wasted" hours for you. My DH (dear husband) says that I waste too many hours here.
I'm a Dutchy by marriage, our last name is Boertje. What's funny, is that My DH IS a farmer. Although he's not little, he's about 6'3". About 2 meters. For those ND (not Dutch) Boertje means little farmer. DH's Mom & Dad both came over while they were little. Beppe (Grandma) never did learn English, Gary said it made for some interesting Christmases. Mimi (other grandma) spoke English until last year, now Alz. has her speaking mostly Dutch.
Enough about me, tell us more about you!

welcome, Hetty from the Netherlands! Your work is beautiful! I just did a workshop with a Hetty (85+ yrs. old) from the Netherlands. She sends ideas to her friends in Holland all the time.
My Grandparents came for there too....Eggink and te Hennepe
I too love the new set.
Looking forward to your posts on this site

Could be, Betsy! Stranger things have happened.
The Van Derveer name has shown up in many forms over my lifetime.
My Grandparents spelled the name Van Der Veer, but due to a spelling mistake on my Dad's birth certificate, we spell it Van Derveer.
Who knows who else could have changed the name over the years?
See what you started, Dutchie?

Hi Hetty! Its great to see someone from the Netherlands here! My grandmother also came over from Holland. She has been here a little less than 50 years. She met my grandfather while he was there and they ended up getting married. Two of my uncles (from my grandmothers first marriage) go there to visit there dad every now and then. My uncle's last name is Beelaard and I beleive my grandmother's maiden name is Van Den Berge. I would love to take a trip over there some time. Anyways, great to have you here!!

Hi Hetty, I too am glad to have you here. My grandparents and all their kids (my dad included) came of Holland. So it is great to communicate with someone from their home country. All of my dad's family also still lives over there. Unfortunately, both of my grandparents and my dad have passed away now, but I always felt like I was special because I was half dutch. Good to have you on here.
Sandy (Buyense, maiden name) Used to be spelled Buijense

Hi Hetty
I just had to email you- not too many Hetty's in the world. My meisje's naam in van der Veen- but in Canada it became 2 words! Ik kan ook a bijtje Nederlands- mar het is slecht! Today is my first day on this site- and I am impressed with your cards- I received the Netherlands stamp last year on my 50th birthday from a stampin up freind- and this year i am a part of the card club with a lot of excitement about doing this!
My parents immigrated to Canada in 1954 and 5 months later I was born- Nederlands gemakt and Canadeze geboren! I was in Overijssel in April for my cousin 50 birthday and we spent 5 days on the interner looking up many meners of our family to create a family tree- we are back to before 1700 for some of them!
hope to post some fotos here someday!

So many Dutch!
I can't believe how many people are here with Dutch connections. My dad is Dutch. His family migrated to Canada when he was 2, but he's now in the US. My maiden name is Hoogerbrugge. There's Dutch on my husband's side as well. His grandmother's maiden name was Van Dyke. I'm new to this site as well (signed up yesterday), and I'm a new SU! demo as well.
I've got a funny story about that Netherlands stamp set (which I just LOVE). I was telling my upline a couple weeks ago that there are some stamp sets that just don't appeal to me at all, and I have a hard time believing there are people out there who must like those sets. Her response? "Yeah, I know what you mean. Like that Dutch set. Who would buy that?" So I had to fill her in on who would buy that!

Hallo Tami,
While searching the internet for the name Beelaard, I found your message. Your grandmother's name is Cornelia Johanna van den Berg and she was first married to Frans Beelaard. This Frans is my uncle. I am interested in genealogy but have only a limited amount of data of the "Amereican branch" of the Beelaard family. Your grandfather, Stephen Moroni Coleman, sent me some information (I think is was actually Stephen Jr who send me the info) but your name was not mentioned. Are you interested in sharing some information about the family relationships? Let me know if you are.
regards, Wim Beelaard
