Default To Be or Not...

I've been toying with the idea of becoming a SU demonstrator, but am hesitant. The only demo we currently have where I live isn't really active, just does it as a hobby. The demo that I used to buy from had to retire from SU due to going to school full-time, kids, husband, studies, etc. She said she'd help me in any way possible. I keep thinking that I should jump at this opportunity because the next nearest demo is about 40 miles away, and I should take advantage of this opportunity before someone else does, but again I'm hesitant that I won't have the time to commit (I work full-time, family, husband etc.), won't be able to come up with ideas for stamp camps, etc. We have one rubber stamping store in town, and another within 10 minutes drive, so I know there are plenty of stampers in the area.

The short time I've been on this website, I've found the community to be very helpful, and any advice anyone can give me now would surely be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your time and help!!!

I am an SU! demo and I also work a full-time job. I work my stamp camps and workshops around my full-time job schedule. I have been able to meet my quarterly quota each time. Hope this helps with your decision.

Resistance is futile! ;) Just kidding. I was on the fence when I joined SCS too. I just signed up to be a demo and I'm very excited. Now is an awesome time to do it, with Sell-A-Bration you get one free stamp set ($39.95) among other great demo perks.

Welcome to SCS...there are so many creative people here. I know you'll get lots of inspiration from the gallery. Have fun!

Default Go for it!!!

I say go for it. I don't work full time outside the house. I do however have a hubby who is a Police Sergeant and works really weird hours including weekends and holidays. I have two in college, one in kindergarten, and a 4YO, all boys!!! I also groom dogs from my house and do the bookwork for my Dad's business. I make time for SU because I love it. You have to have priorities right? With my hubby gone a lot, I take advantage of the times he's home, they ARE his kids too!!! I just tell him that it's not babysitting when they are yours!!! Besides, I'm happier and a better spouse when I get time to stamp! When it matters to you, it will work out! HTH!!

Go for it!! I did last April, still doing the hobby thing, but gearing up to really get the business going this year. If nothing else, it's a good investment with all the material and goodies, not to mention getting into the demo's site, unbeatable for hints and encouragement.

I always try to remember the quote "you miss 100% of the shots you never take". Not sure if I quoted it exactly right but it's something like that. Ask yourself "what do I have to lose?" or "what is the worst thing that could happen?" Say you try it and decide it's not working. Your'e left with lots of wonderful supplies and tools for your personal stamping! I see that as a GOOD thing! I say GO FOR IT!!

Welcome to SCS.

What do you have to lose if you sign up with SU? Find that answer and you'll know if you should/want to sign up!
