Hello Everyone! Anyone from Windsor Ontario? I live in the Seattle Washington area but home is Windsor Ontario and I MISS Canadians so much! We truly are really friendly people as they say here in Washington and Oregon!
Hi my name is Lori, I am from Victoria, BC I love this site and can spend more time here that I do crafting. I have been scrapbooking for about 10 years and new to card making and stamping. Love it, my son who is 14 today says "I'm crazy" lol What does he know!
Isn't it crazy? We had a birthday party in my family today and we barbecued for dinner. And tomorrow it is supposed to be 21!
Hi I'm Lori, I live in Victoria, BC - supposed to be the Hawaii of Canada - not these days, came home this morning to no power, 3rd time in 2 weeks and we had rain mixed with snow today! Can you believe it, what is this world coming to? We do have flowers out though as our average temp very seldom drops below zero!
Have a great day ladies, I'm jealous of your sunshine
We are just now getting some sunshine. I lived in Courtney for 5 years so I know how nice it usually is on the Island. I will send some sunshine your way, although it may take a while lol
Where in NS are you? I am an honorary Cape Bretoner (Sydney). I live there from 2004 - 2006, moved back to Victoria and them moved out there again in Aug of 2007 and stayed until the end of the school year in 2008. Loved it there, people are awesome, I always say if we could move the people from the east coast to Vancouver Island, this would be the best place in the world to live. My son loved it there, your kids can be kids and the old saying it takes a village to raise a kid was evident there. I'd move back tomorrow if I had the money. I am a single parent on disability paying $1100 per month just to keep a roof over our heads.
Too funny Victoria talking to Dartmouth and I'm plunk in the middle.
Most of my SCS friends are U.S.A. and we've gotten cyber close over the years. A great bunch of people on these threads. I've found Canadian threads over the years but for the most part I've met Canadians in the swaps we have done. Quite a few are in Southern Ontario and I think they even have their own thread???
Not too many Manitobans.
Hi Bella, I too am Canadian that is presently living in the US. I too am homesick for my home in Windsor Ontario. I keep my fingers crossed that the day will come I will be living back home. My heart is true Canadian and I know what you mean about not knowing that until you moved aboard!
Hi, Sandi from Victoria, BC. I am fairly new to stamping but my newest love is card making so I didvthe happy dance when I happened upon SCS site. Happy to browse through the galleries for inspiration and see what incredibly talented artist are out there.

Hey Sandi! I'm planning on visiting Victoria soon and was wondering if you could recommend a arts and crafts/scrapbooking store! I heard ya'll get a lot of sunshine over there.
Joanie, I miss living in the US! Just like you I dream of moving back home someday.
Hi, there are not many scrap/stamping stores in Victoria. 2 just closed in the past year. That said, my favorite is Stampers at 2630 Quadra street. it is tucked in with a few other stores but is worth the search. Happy shopping
Hi joanie2113. I lived in Esterhazy when I was a child. In fact, my sister was born there. My sis-in-law has a ton of family from there. Are you new to Splitcoast? If so, welcome! It's good to hear from someone else in SK.
now there's a name i don't hear all the time lol. not from there but i have a lot of family straight south in the manor-carlyle-redvers area. happy stamping
i'm from nova scotia now for the last 21 years but i grew up in manitoba and saskatchewan. it feels like old home week when i see posts from there. i also lived in vancouver and whitby so enjoy seeing names from those areas too. and no, we're not in the military - we just enjoyed moving around and seeing this amazing country.
Is anyone interested in continuing to chat beyond introducing ourselves? I am willing to start a thread in the chat box section if there is enough interest.

Hi, there are many topics I would be interested in. I am fairly new to stamping. I love all the galleries with such professional cards. How do "they" do it lol
Hi Sunnyone, Yes I am new with Splitcoast and still trying to find myself around. Thanks for the welcome! Wow, how nice it is to chat with someone from Esterhazy! It's not a very big place at all but I guess it is a small world. My mother was born and raised there and he family owned some businesses in the town. I still have family there but haven't been there for years! I look forward to being there again someday!

Hi Diana
I'd love to get together but I'm a little bit too far away (Bowmanville) to go on a monthly basis. Keep me posted and maybe I could attend occasionally.
