Canadian Stampers - where ARE you?!?

Hi There,

I am a crazy stamper from the other coast - Nova Scotia is where I stamp, stamp, stamp. I have been stamping all summer - glued to my seat I was. Our daughter just got married 2 weeks ago and I did all the invitations, placecards, boxes for the candy buffet, pew markers - you name it - I did it. Looking forward to sharing with more Canadians.

Hi Chris, So good to hear from you. I live in Dartmouth, but have a cottage at Hackett's Cove which is about 6 miles from Peggy's Cove. It is where we spend our summers. It is an old boat house made over and I just love it and feel like we have a little piece of heaven. I spent 8 years in Lunenburg and have good friends there so know that area very well - where do you stay when you come.
Would love to private swap with you sometime, let me know how it would work.

Where are you located in Eastern Ontario?

I am in Toronto. Have stamped some, but had to give it up for 10 years while I was a caregiver. Wow, have things changed in the meanwhile!

Have recently joined a card club and find it helps me to learn & it is a joy to meet others and learn from those with the same interests.

Hi Jen, and everyone else...I can't believe that this post has been going on for 6 years already...I just happen to stumble on it checking out new posts in the forums.

I am from Northern Manitoba...for all you Manitobans, I am from Thompson. I have been stamping, or should I say collecting for about 2 1/2 years now, and I have a room full of "stuff", great ideas on SCS, and I am addicted to anything with ribbons.
I will keep watching for new and great ideas, everyone here is so talented.

I've often wondered where you shop for sb supplies now that Clipper St. has closed in Coquitlam & Richmond.

Even Making Memories at Hastings & Willingdon in N. Burnaby is a bit of a drive from Richmond.

I've been to Scrapbook Warehouse but too far from my home for a regular visit.

Hi Canadians!
I am located in Burnaby BC.
My favorite stores are Be Creative in Pitt Meadows,Country Lane in Surrey,Cherish the Thought in Port Moody and I also really like Clipper Street in Langley.
Each of these stores is approximately 30-40 minutes drive from Burnaby and each store has its own distinctive personalities and supplies. I would highly recommend all of these stores to anyone who stamps and makes cards.
I am not a scrapbooker but my main interests are Artist Trading Cards and cardmaking.The people who work in these stores are all very helpful and are always supportive.

I am from Milestone, Saskatchewan. I just signed up as a Stampin Up demonstrator 2 weeks ago, and I am loving it!!! My first workshop was more then I thought it would ever be, I couldn't believe it. My upline is also Tami Gadd from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. I haven't met her personally but she seems like a real nice person. So, far I like the company and all the nice people I am meeting by doing something that I love.

Hi everyone, I'm Heather from a suburb of Edmonton!

I've been stamping for the past few years, but with 2 kids it's taken a backseat lately (sadly). I've picked up some new stamps and fun stuff the past few weeks, and I'm getting ready to do my Christmas cards soon, since I need to make about 40-50 of them while the little one is sleeping.

Hi I'm from Orangeville Ontario Semi retired and I am a Stampinup Demonstrator. Working too much some weeks to hold workshops but am trying I am a folk artist and tend to do a lot of watercolouring, pencil crayons and marker work on my cards Haven't figured out how to upload pics yet but will get around to it.

I'm just wondering...I've looked at the "Get it Together" group, and didn't see much of anything for Canadian stampers. Does anyone get together in Manitoba, or is anyone in Northern Manitoba interested in getting together to stamp/crop and share ideas. Or is anyone interested in swapping cards? I live in Lindsay Ont, and would love to have friends to stamp and scrap with. I am lucky enough to have my own craft room, and lots of neat stuff. Right now my craft room is my bedroom while I fight breast cancer, but once I beat it, I want to be able to have a craft night every month or so. So look me up or PM me and we can go from there

Sending positive thoughts your way Jennypoo, I have 2 grandmothers who both had breast cancer, one in the 1980's and one in the 1990's, and they are both alive and doing very well (both in their 80's now), and my husband is also battling cancer (melanoma). It sure is a tough road, but stay positive. Take care of yourself

I'm in St. Catharines !! Started rubber stamping 18 years ago then stopped to raise my son, and learn to paint then bead. Back to stamping and scrapping all the pictures of my son.

I usually buy them online because they are way cheaper online, I go to Scrapbooker's paradise here in Calgary if I want to admire stuff (and of course always buy something too)
I have enough supplies to last me lifetime so lately I am buying mostly stamps lol.

I use SU obviously (actually I use them mostly), but for my cricut and the odd "different" piece I use scrap-hut, which is really nice and has some great prices sometimes. I find that they are usually a lot cheaper than Michael's for the cartridges.

Happy Stamper from beatiful Annapolis Valley Nova Scotia. born and raised in ontario but NS is my home now and I'd never leave! I am about to be certified copic and teach a lot of classes. Would anyone be willing to do a canadian only swap?

I do photography of scenery, and combine a sunset with my card, or something like that. i dont have anything up in my gallery as of yet........need to wait for my daughter to bring back my scanner. :rolleyes:

I would love to do swaps if anyone is interested. I had a pen pal for years, that I used to do swaps with, but she had a family and didnt have time any more. We would do 20-30 cards at a time (themes....... one swap might be all blue, one might be Christmas, etc), we also did tiles (only 4 at a time because of the weight of them), recipe cards, candles etc etc etc.
