Default Brand Newbie!

While I am familiar with forums on a variety of subjects....I never thought I would be interested in card making. Card making is the reason I am here lurking around the forum.

I haven't found it yet, but is there a Beginners 101 list of items needed to start making cards?

Hi and welcome from New Zealand! My list of things needed would be: a craft knife, a metal ruler (if you cut with a plastic ruler you risk slicing slivers off it making it less accurate), white card and a library. The library is to get out books on card making which will have delicious pictures of cards that you can say 'wow' over. Those are the cards you will want to make and those are the books that will describe how to make them. Feel free to sent me a personal message if you want more help.

Welcome Mzteaze. I don't know if there is a 101 in card making around here, but I look at the gallery a lot. I also surf Youtube and Pinterest.

I follow this forum in my blog reader so every time a new tread pops up I'm notified and if it's something that interests me I'm all over it. I have learned a lot about coloring, embellishing and mailing cards. I'm more of a scrapper, so I reference this forum and YT and Pinterest all the time for ideas and inspiration. I think the basics of cards are simple its the inspiration that I'm always in search of.

Welcome. I know that you'll enjoy yourself here and learn a lot!! Have a great time creating!!
