Advice on Scanners

I am new to this forum and am very interested in participating and posting my creations. Sadly I do not have a scanner. So I'm wondering, what type OR brand of scanner works really well for this? I've looked at ads from places like Staples, Office Depot, Office Max but I really don't know what features I should be looking for. Since you all have been at this for a while I thought it would be best to ask the experts. Please help. I thank you in advance.

Anxious to start.......Chris

Hi Chris. Welcome to SCS. :)

I don't have a lot of advice for you about scanners, but I found a couple of older threads that have some possibilitites. Check these out:

Most people seem to recommend Epson. I have an HP scanner, but I don't like it all that much, so I wouldn't recommend it. My DH says "We have an HP scanner and an Epson printer. That's backwards!" ;)

Good luck!

Welcome to SCS from central Illinois. I have an HP Scaner/Copier/Printer/Fax all in one machine. I love it! It is my second all in one machine. Mine scans color pretty good, but I have notice some one here have lousy color. I looked at one card that looked orange and they said it was one of the yellow colors... can't remember for sure which color, but it sure looked orange. So I'm thinking I would not like their scanner. Good luck!
