Default 12 x 12 paper Storage

Hello to everyone! This site is so wonderful! I love it. I am just learning how to use it so bare with me....

I am getting ready to make my own scrap room! (YEAH) and i am looking for paper storage solutions. I like the wire racks for the 12x12 and I am looking for some possible places that I can get them as cheap as possible (I want to spend the rest of my money on stamps) so if you all could give me some info about where to get these things and which are the most cost effective, that would be wonderful. Any helpful storage tips are welcome! Thanks a lot!

Shannon

Hi Shannon -
I know I have gotten the wire racks/cubes at Target. I got mine in the white when they were on sale for $9.99. There was a post by someone not to long ago where they found them at Walmart - in chrome.

Here is the thread where there was a discussion on this. It also has great pictures that show what the item is. Hope this helps!

The target cubes work great. If you want the actual paper racks, this is the best prices I've been able to find.

Don't forget to check out Costco, if you have one! When I was there last week, they still had some of these leftover from back-to-school and they were very reasonable prices for many of them! Good luck!

Default They have metal 6 packs of cubes at Costco!

They have metal 6 packs of cubes at Costco for only $14.95! They were really cute. I personally use, the Cropper Hopper for paper storage, it came with 16 floders and tabs etc, but it was expensive! (like $100) but I do love it, everything is files by color/catagory and it only takes up a very small amount of room!

I use the Cropper Hopper file cart too. Love it! You can get them at Michael's with the dreaded coupon. If you need extra file folders, you can cut the bottoms out of legal size ones and extend them to be long enough.

I think this has been a problem for a lot of us! My upline and I were on a mission yesterday to find the storage for 12 X 12 paper/cardstock! We went to Target, no luck- Office Max, found a clear plastic storage container 60 qt. with lid for $9.99 but can't deal w/ dividers- stampin' stores, nothing- Wal-Mart, I found a different brand storage unit 66 qt by Rubbermaid for $8.95 with the same problem of dividers. We made sure we "borrowed" 12 X 12 cardstock to check out our possibilities- most of the things we thought would work didn't because the cardstock stuck up above the top by about 2". We went with the clear containers with lids. Maybe not ideal but it's covered and can be stacked.

Default 12 x 12 storage

I found an expanding file 13-pocket organizer with built-in tote at http://www.organize-everything.com/organ.

Specifically at http://store.yahoo.com/organizeeverything1/scacor.html.

It's selling for $13.99. Has anyone used this?

Default Dollar Gen****

I saw them at Dollar Gen**** for $8. I haven't decided how I am going to store 12x12 paper. I am still having issues storing my 8 1/2 x 11. I am an organization FREAK and have to PLAN everything out extensively.

HI,
I have the cubes from Target. They are wonderful. My dh gave me some zip ties so I made shelves in each cube. I bought two sets of cubes, made 6 cubes and used the remaining pieces for the shelves. I love being able to see all my paper.

I use plastic paper trays for all my 8 1/2" x 11" and would have loved the 12" x 12" paper trays but they are very spendy compared with the cubes. My dh made me some plywood pieces to put under my paper to prevent any markings/folds from the grid of the cube pieces. This works great.

Hope this helps.

Take care,
Michelle

I use the target cubes too. Thought I had found a cheaper solution with some chrome cubes but the cubes were only 12x12, which made it too tight a fit for the 12x12 paper.

I'll try and post a picture of what I'm doing. I have both 8 1/2x11 and 12x12 stored in the same shelf.

Hugs,
Betsy

I love these 12X12 storage ideas, but where do you put the racks? I am afraid to put them on the floor- basement floods or spider webs- but I bet they don't fit on a regular bookshelf! What are your brilliant and creative ideas for that problem?
