Wove the loose ends in on 4 hats.
Gotta have Dh try on the boys hats when he gets home.
Still need to make Zacks (started) and jacks.
Decided I want to make the girls some red and white boot toppers to go with their caps,😉

I think with crochet hats are easier than washcloths. And the boot warmers are like long washcloths that are then stitched together at the back. You tube has taught me all I know.😉

Good morning! Crisp and chilly here. A little slow getting ready today, but dropped the kids off a few minutes earlier. Go figure.
Today I need to actually catch up on dishes and laundry. I probably need to get gas and try the Goodwill over here. I need to iron and cut Ezra's fabric.

Morning! Been a slow, quiet morning. We just got done reading a stack of books! Wonder how many books I read in a day??

Sipping some coffee now as we figure out what to do next. I think I will work on going through some of Phebe's little toys in her room. Shopping and little doll stuff!

It’s only 60 degrees but I’m hot and sweaty. Been helping Dh in the barndominium. Drywall gets delivered tomorrow and all needs to be picked up and swept up. So....

In house now making a hot cup of tea for Dh and my break.

Already got morning routine done as friends are coming to get their stuff and if they come inside I wanted it to look nice. As it should everyday.😏 we deserve a “look nice” home also.😉

Shopping will not happen. Doesn’t really need to. At least not for the cruise.

Had another good day so far! A few times when Asher melted down somewhat, but not full on all day long. We walked to the park before lunch.

Ugh, I stayed up late last night and undid all the wonderful restful naps I had through out the weekend. To bed early tonight is a must!!

Happy Wednesday everyone. Our list is getting smaller...slowly. Finally finished the last room inside today and all is clean and back to normal (sort of) inside. Halfway through the outside and I can finally see my front door and paving. Weeding still to do. The deck and back garden still to be finished. The weather hasn't helped completing our jobs but it's forecast to be warmer the next week.

I've had some poppet time the past few days and they fill my heart with joy. Being away for so long has put some things into perspective for me...who and what matter. I'm also learning how to keep smiling when others are selfish, rude and insensitive....this one is challenging me and tricky at times. I am finding strength I didn't know I had.

We've also made up a House List of Rules which we need to sit down with the youngest and discuss...another challenge for the week and life hasn't exactly been pleasant some days since we've been back. Lots of learning curves.

Misti, time with parents is so special.....hope you've had a wonderful time.
Hope everyone is well and slowly getting through your lists.

Happy week

Had a fabulous day with Don yesterday celebrating his 61st birthday, I look forward to in 5 years when he will be able to retire and we can have a slew of Saturday's every day together!

Today I may make a list, hmm, if I don't do it in 5 seconds it won't get done...

My first plan...

meditate and enjoy the moon...absolutely gorgeous AGAIN...

The first weekend in October our county has an Autumn Fare which is a fund raiser for the fairgrounds...I made Julia enter with me!

I took 1st in Apple pie, Julia took 3rd (we used the same pie filling that I can but mine was a French topping, hers had a double crust)

Julia took 2nd in pumpkin, I took 3rd (we used all the same ingredients)

Julia took 4th in "other" for her Snicker pie and I got honorable mention for my blueberry pie.

Then the pies were auctioned off...my apple pie got $45 but Julia's Snicker pie got $85...my blueberry got $25...Julia's apple I think got $25 and our pumpkins got $20...

The auction money went for the fairgrounds. It was a fun day and we are both going to do it again next year! Oh...and I made Julia's pie crusts and rolled them into a tube shape like you buy at the store...we didn't think that was cheating, she just pretended she had store-bought pie crust!

Her family requested the Snicker pie for Thanksgiving She is on the calendar already for Wednesday after school to make it.

Oh...and Tricia...there was cash prizes for 1-4 place...Julia offered that she should give me her cash prizes because I paid for the ingredients...

My response...obviously your mother put that thought in your head...and NO you are not giving me your cash prize!

She said, well, it just has to go into savings!

Morning!

I am soooo sleepy this morning! I have a window of time today to work on moving GraceWorks boxes to get ready to pack the U-Haul box on Saturday and I need to work diligently and intelligently so my energy carries through the whole day.

Off I go!

Good morning y’all.

No moon here just clouds and rain again.😏

Today is going to be laundry and packing for cruise. Since it’s cold here I won’t need the clothing I will wear on the cruise where it will be still in the 80s.

Need to finish bookmarks to take to church since I couldn’t make my group meeting to have people help. I had to stay here as my floood friend needed to come pick up their furniture. We had a good visit and the reality is setting in. They are feeling their loss and the weight of all that is left to do.☹️

Pulled a muscle in my arm yesterday. It’s my left arm so my crazy minds fears it’s my heart.😏 honestly I’m so weird.
Still taking my statin but have decided I will stop after my checkup next month. I will talk it over with my doc. I think he didn’t want me to try diet as they don’t believe people will truly do it. And I know my weaknesses but I think the fear of what this med could be doing to me is putting me in an awful state.
I’ve been studying a lot and the Mediterranean diet/lifestyle goes along with what I believe is healthy. I’m just still having trouble getting these paleo rules out of my mind. 😬 crazy, I told you.

Good morning! Took the kids to school, went to the store for bread, a rx, a coffee (compliments of a friend), and can redemption. (Iowa has a 5 cent deposit on every can or plastic or glass bottle beverage and you can bring them back for redemption and get the deposit back. I made $5. Used it to buy the stevia sweetened sodas Jeff and the kids like. I think they are gross.) Oh, and Goodwill. Bought a couple of things for Archer's scarecrow costume. I will probably need to go back to one of the Goodwills. I didn't have much time either time I was there.

Today is more picking up, stop procrastinating on Ezra's play costume, gather library books to return, find Amelia's ballet bag, and make muffins or cookies for tomorrow's lunches.

Anyone be heard of or practiced intermittent fasting?

I’m trying to go 16 hours fasting. So,
I skipped breakfast had a cup of hot lemon water and black coffee which is apparently allowed. Broke my fast with a geeen smoothie.
Going to try this the next few days and see how I feel.

Misti...glad for the smile!

I need a kick to get myself cleaning the kitchen (or even to relook at my list)...Sara is gone (and she took Dora) so I really would like to take a nap...

BUT...if I would work on my list then I could go back to town for the rest of my errands when Sara gets here and I wouldn't have to deal with Dora...but then Dora likes to get on the furniture and that irritates me as Sara is clueless to Dora...

Cher...I can easily do 14 hours but not sure I have ever done 16 hours...and then even after 14 hours I"m not sure I was wise in the selection of food decisions!!!!

Paula...I would love to bake some muffins but I would eat them...at least too many of them...baking sounds like a very pleasant activity right now!

Tricia...Saturday is coming...keep doing bits of time...

Lurkers...hello.

All floor tiles washed.
Jeans in washer
Clean hangables hung

Dinner is a leftover creation. I had homemade barrocho beans, added chopped carrots, celery, onion, thyme and extra water. That’s all simmering. Later I will add leftover sausage and some fresh collard greens and viola a healthy meal that was quick and easy and will probably have leftovers for lunch.😉

I have to ration the muffins. Everyone gets the same amount! And between 6 people, it isn't that many per person.

I haven't baked yet. Jeff came home for lunch and then I finally ironed all that muslin to make the costume shirt. About to eat some lunch myself and then I will bake.

I'm not sure what you're looking for but TH Seedless Preserves or Wilted Violet are two of my faves.
