Eeek!!! It’s December!!!!!! It’s time to turn the page on the calendar. Have you ordered or purchased your 2019 calendar?

Don printed my 2019 calendar (it is the size of squares as FlyLady but has no holidays and all important days already on the pages!) and he bound it for me also!

I do want him to make me a pocket size calendar for in my purse but I don't often schedule appointments when I'm away from home but I like to have a calendar in my purse.

Today is "Sweet Treats" day with my great-niece, niece, nephew and his girlfriend...need to get the table cleared, the kitchen ready...an extra table for all the ingredients to be on...

Check the weather, we are supposed to get snow...they live in the metro and 3-6 inches doesn't mean the same to them that it does to us in the country...I would not be going any place (just our driveway can be an adventure)...

Errands first...

Joyce...have you ever read "Who Moved My Cheese?" by Spencer Johnson, M.D.?

Good book, easy read...read it a few times now (due to job changes as well as the in-law life)

Also...how did the party go?

Misti...enjoy the weekend...How is Devin doing with his shooting?

December… wow. I instantly feel older just realizing how quickly this year went by. I remember all the old people in my family saying that when I was little. Guess I'm the "old people" now! lol

Putting the tree up today. But first, a second cup of coffee. Definite slow-mo today...

Listening to the windchimes usually is so peaceful and calming...today I am a bit nervous about the wind and the snow that is predicted...

Need a list:

shoes
dryer
Fleet Farm
Auntie DD
leggins
CJ

brown chair
kitchen counter
4' table
recipes

ingredients
pans
papers
cups
make hot chocolate

Niece cancelled...of course I had the first batch of caramel in the microwave...so...had to make the second batch also...

I will take one batch to Julia, she can wrap it with her family...and I'll wrap the other one and send it to Don's work!

No self-control here.

Kitchen is already clean, now what to do with myself?

Good morning y’all.

And so it ends. Way to early. On our way to the airport and back home. It was a short but sweet visit.

Tricia, I prayed for you yesterday. I went into our local HL to get a couple of things for our tree and - WOWZA - it was SO full of people. I don't think I've ever seen it like that.

This morning, I'm just sitting here going through e-mail and reminding myself to turn any anxiety over to God. DH is seeing a lot of issues at work that are reminiscent of the previous employer; "signs on the horizon", I guess you could say. So he started applying for other jobs yesterday. One of which is in GA; the blessing in that is that my family is up there. But - oh - the nerves are doing a dance in my belly today. Thank you all that we can share things here. This isn't something I can discuss elsewhere.

Joyce, I keep thinking about you and your husband. I hope that his phone call went well and that the right opportunity comes to you both quickly. (praying)

Yesterday my neighbor said there was a line at the milk cooler at WalMart...unreal she said. I bought my milk at KT and it fell out of the car when I got home and got a crack on the bottom so I have it upside down in the fridge!!!!

Adriana...is it better to have a belly doing a dance than doing a belly dance? I pictured you doing a belly dance my first read through!!!! Job, didn't hubby just get this job? Anxiety, I know all about it too.

Wonder how Ed is going and if she recovered from the party.

We are snowed in...was to go visit a brother of mine south of us, they got more snow than us but we aren't even going to attempt getting out of the garage until Roger plows our driveway! The bird feeders have one side covered in snow, they are going to the other side!

Belly dancing is probably more fun, but I don’t think my body is capable! Heehee

Yes, he started this job early 2018. He knew there was some dysfunction there, that’s why he was needed. But as he has worked with the management involved, he doesn’t believe they really want to change the culture and find a resolution. He sees a lot of the same issues which led to the sell off and major layoffs at his previous employer.

(Thank you hugs)

I’m trying to remember He has it covered. I guess part of what is making my pulse jump is that Alan graduates high school this year and Devin will likely leave for university in the fall. In that sense, it’s a prime time for a big change...

Enjoyed some time in the stamp room...made several of these little "baggies"

Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Pootles - Scallop Topped Self Closing Baggie

Didn't have a punch that really would work on the top but I used a die that rounded the top part...it works, not as nicely as if I had the punch she used!

Counterfeit, counterfeit...that is becoming a way of life...I already have more than enough, use what I have, be thankful for the abundance...

Talking to myself has been helpful.

Hey! Got a haircut yesterday. I'm not so sure about it. It's shorter than I'm used to. I'll grow to like it...or at least tolerate it until it grows out. I think, though, i may go get it layered. She gave me a blunt cut and it's not making me feel good when I look it the mirror.

I was snowed in and Don was home, I couldn't just sit in my brown chair all weekend!

The weekend in the house was fun...we did deliver caramels to Julia's house just as the snow was starting...got home and I didn't go outside since!

What did I do?

sewed
stamped
washed dishes
made meals
ate caramels
sewed
washed dishes
made meals
ate caramels
got a gut ache
wrapped caramels
forgot to call my SIL
watched Hallmark with Don
thought about life issues
made no decision or changes
did not eat more caramels
enjoyed being snowed in with Don

Wear fun earrings! Shorter hair allows for them to really be seen and adds a certain”something” to short hair. Also distracts us from the change and helps to see the overall look, not just the cut.

Is Texas a larger archery community than Oklahoma?

Could you refresh my 60-year old memory of how your sons became interested in archery? I remember their early days of shooting even in snow in Oklahoma, the memory in my head is from your descriptions of the conditions.

Good morning yall.

Moving slow. Went to bed way early. Slept well inspite of the dogs getting out and not found, although I was pretty sure I heard Dh speak on the phone and leave to be them. (He didn’t bother to tell me) woke to find dogs are indeed back home.

Today I have an eye doc appointment. Annual visit but mainly a glaucoma check.
That’s at noon. Until then....

Empty dishwasher
Make smoothie
Drink more coffee
Unpack?
Put away luggage

Gave kids their Christmas hats. They loved them.😊
Dson ask for one in blue and gray. He bought the yarn I got it done while there.😉

Had a Santa hat half finished working on that for Dh. He has been whining that everyone got hats but him. Sorry sweetie but sometimes we come last. Also want to make one for me.

Adriana, thank you for the prayers. It has been crazy at work and I've had a few really trying days emotionally to add to it, so I definitely needed the prayers. Last night after I came home from playing and singing in the Christmas program at church I was really, really low emotionally. I sat on the floor in front of my little heater and just begged God to not let me slip back into depression. Just then I looked up and saw a little pile tied up in twine on my computer. Kate had left me a little present and a sweet note of encouragement because she saw I had been having a hard time. It was just the reminder I needed that God was near and that He was personally caring for me because He loves me. What a precious gift/reminder that is!

I work tonight, but this morning I am going to take time to listen to an Advent service and cross stitch. My church doesn't celebrate the Advent season, but I find that the focus on preparing my heart for His coming deepens the joy of the holiday season for me and helps me reestablish my priorities as I look forward to beginning a new year.

Have a good day all!!

Good morning Happy December! Thanks for the Hanukkah wishes! We had a good first night.

I have a lot of things I'd like to get done today and a few that I need to. I made a paper list last night. We rearranged the girls' room to get another bed in there (Eden has been sharing with Amelia) and there's a lot of cleaning that still needs to be done.

Big hugs Adriana! Going from one job stress to another is intense.

Hugs, Tricia! Retail at the holidays is no joke! Glad you are taking some time for yourself.

I needed a list of piles on the stamp room floor!

Then I decided to conquer the closet because some of the floor piles needed space in the closet...that led to emptying the box of 1,000 envelopes into smaller boxes which led to finding a space for the few extras which led to the desk drawer where I seldom get an envelope anymore which led to the envelope box that is in that drawer needed some repair with tape!

Took the empty plastic bags to the correct place in the laundry room, threw away 2 of Twix's toys, found the wax paper roll that I thought I had...it was on the die cutting table, exchanged that almost full roll for the almost empty roll in the kitchen, gift puzzles went into the stamp room closet rearranged one shelf...

Not finished with the floor but I did make a difference!

Talked with Koleesa while doing all that!!!!

Now, a cup of hot water and a 15-minute break FlyLady style!
