Cool fishing video Kathy. You caught lots of big ones. Is it catch and release?
A great challenge too. I am not quite as obsessed with boxes as you are, but close. Even though I was beat when I got home from soccer/Bible camp where I taught the lesson to 3 different age groups, and took part in the skit, I still had to try a box. I don't think I have ever done any of those boxes. I tried the first tutorial, by Brenda Quintana. I used some paper from my huge stash of patterned paper, cut out the roller skates and decorated with that paper. I may still add some rolled roses. I will fill it with goodies for my one and only grandaughter, who had surgery this week. It's not uploaded yet, but here is the photo.

We could have kept some if we wanted but we released them all.

Love your box! I will probably make more of that one. It was pretty straightforward.

I am going to do the last box. I think I have that scalloped punch. Thanks Kathy.

You don't have to do any of the ones I linked up. Any box will do. I just wanted to show you some fun tutorials I found and used, but its OK if you find some other box you'd rather do.

Kathy I need a small box for an idea to put about 1/2 - 1 cup of M&M's in...do you have an idea for that small of a box?

I have literally dozens of boxes I've made. Let me look and I'll be back soon!

Faye, Angie Juda (aka chicnscratch) does many boxes that size that would work. Here are a couple tutorials I've followed.

You can leave the tag topper box flat if you don't have any of the tag topper punches. I don't have that new one she uses so I used the scalloped tag topper one I already had.

Julie (aka The Paper Pixie)also does cute little boxes. This one would hold about a quarter cup of m&M's. It is a bit small for the pb egg she shows. I found it a tight fit, but found smaller eggs that worked.

Another small and easy box is the Ghiardelli gift box. I just made 3 and will make 7 more tomorrow for my kids in the soccer/ Bible camp. The tutorial is in the turorial section here on scs. I just thought of making them after 9 p.m. and have 3 done. I do jot have anything to put in them yet, but our big barbeque isn't until 5:30 p.m., so I have time. Hopefully all the kids will come to the BBQ.

Wow Ina your box is so cool. You and Kathy rock boxes. I have a cute little one that would fit M&Ms that my SU friend gave to us at craft group with a choccie inside it. I think it’s on one of your tutorials Kathy. You’ve set me a challenge lol.

Happy Friday and weekend everyone..I keep thinking it’s a day earlier.

You’ve all made some beautiful boxes, I’m really not very good at making them, I usually ruin masses of card in the attempt!

Phew it’s 40c, just got back from the hospital, all cool, drove home,
Cool in the car, went in the underground parking at the supermarket so it was cool, got out of the car at home and the heat was as if we’d walked into an oven.

Default So spoiled!

I got home from our soccer camp today and picked up the mail on the way home. Wow! I had 5 birthday cards in the mail. Two from Ontario, one from Spain, one from Pennsylvania, and one from an old friend in Florida. Thanks so much Kathy (and for the beautifully coloured Magnolia die cuts) and Jan (and for all the lovely die cuts) And I already received a card and goodies from Jayne. I am so blessed to have all of you as friends.

Jan, it has been warm here all week, around 30, sunshine and with a humidex of up to 39. Suddenly, this morning around 9:30 the wind came up, it got cloudy and dark and the temp dropped to 18 degrees. Most kids at soccer did not come prepared and were shivering, but I got them running to warm up. I had a sweater in the car, but did not want to put in on, when my kids didn't have anything warm. I am definitely wearing jeans and a swetaer at the BBQ this evening.

My little Ghirardelli boxes. I'd better hurry to get the rest done. They are so easy.

Ina so pleased your card arrived before the day, those boxes are so cute.

Steve went to Canada with army, to the ranges in Suffield, he said it was baking hot and they were all bitten by horseflies which went septic!

At least it will be cool in England tomorrow night although we are only going from airport to hotel back to the airport so we most likely won’t even see outside as the hotel is at the airport

Steve is pretty pleased, the cardiologist did some extensive tests last week, we were a bit concerned but he said the results were all good so next year he only has blood tests, ECG and echo cardio tests, he even booked all the tests for him for next July even the blood test.

Hey everyone! I feel so much better now that I am off that bp med!

I am so glad Steve is doing well!!

I just made it home from errands when the heavens opened up. I was going slow through a school district and the wipers were not fast enough for the rain!

Yay Lynn! Glad you are feeling better!

I'm dog sitting a couple of hours. I was going to go with DH and shop a bit until I remembered I promised to dog sit. He is going to visit a friend in the hospital.

Ah Lynn, you are so lucky. You got rain. We only got a sprinkle, and things are so dry around here.
Jan, I am so happy Steve's tests were so good.

Can't remember if I posted the tutorial for the Extra Gum box or not, but I've made four of these so far.

Thank you Kathy...I have made the chocolate bar boxes before but I don't have any corn syrup free ones to use (I need a trip to Canada again!)...I can use USA ones but I'll probably use the little boxes for M&Ms.

Maybe next week I will get to stamp again.

Faye, when you asked about a box to hold m&ms I was thinking of loose ones, duh. Not the packs of them! Those boxes I just posted may hold a small bag of m&ms. If you want, I might even be able to figure out sizes to make them a bit larger.

Morning, we are having our morning tea in bed at the hotel, our DIL and DGSs were at the airport to meet us and we had a lovely meal together last night, the eldest had grandads brain frazzled by the time we went to bed as he’s into Greek mythology, Steve was trying to think of facts he wouldn’t know only for GS to then spend five minutes telling him all about it, thank goodness our eldest son is coming over as he is into all of that stuff!

We are having breakfast and then going to the airport, five minutes walk away and when we are all booked in our DIL will be off we should be home again by 8.30 this evening, we are taking bets how many minutes it will take them to be in the pool after we arrive home!
Left home 35c arrived in England, cloudy and chilly!

Enjoy your time with your grandsons Jan. Glad Steve’s results are all good.

The poppets slept over last night. They were awake at 4.30am wanting to play and brekkie..eek. I really should be in bed catching up on my sleep but we are waiting to watch the men’s tennis finals. I think I need a coffee.

Happy Sunday everyone

I am loved! Short story my body is purging the last of the bp med. I was supposed to go to michaels but had to cancel. Then the twins mom wanted me to go to Costco with her but my gut was still mad. I did manage the gluten free Chinese buffet. Then came home. Was just sitting around when sweet pea called to say she bought stuff from a gluten free bakery. We sat out in the courtyard and enjoyed some very yummy and messy donuts! They are off to enjoy the rest of their day.

Happy Monday everyone.....we stayed up to watch the tennis after we said we wouldn’t...we finally went to bed st 2.30am...eek...but what a match. Was worth staying up...plus there was the cricket...missed that but saw highlights...and hubby watched highlights of the golf...and the car racing....I nodded off at times but was awake for the tennis lol. We finally got up today just short of midday....oh the joy of being able to lie in....or sleep in as some of you say lol. I worked it out that I had about 11 hours sleep over 2 days. It was worth it just to have the poppets sleepover. They bring such joy.

Steve was upset as they had the cricket on live at the hotel but he only got to watch a bit as we had to leave, he didn’t find out they’d won until we were home, then when we rang our son to tell him we’d arrived home safe with the boys he told steve he had to watch the F1 as it was exciting but he hasn’t had time yet. Poor Steve the one weekend we were away and he missed it all.
I really don’t like watching tennis, cricket or F1, I think they are sports that are good to play but not to watch, Steve loves watching the cricket, my Grandad had a season ticket to watch Nottinghamshire, he would go for the day and take his sandwiches to have with a beer! He only ever had a half, never a pint!

Kathy you were correct with the loose M&Ms...that's my plan. I bought a large plastic container of them from COSTCO...I've looked at the links you've sent and have a plan...

I look at the first post to update my calendar with the code and name for the challenge, I don't see the box challenge posted and I don't know what code to write on my calendar (obviously I am behind so won't be doing this specific challenge today as I like to do them in order!)...is there a code known for this challenge?

Thanks...I didn't know how the challenges would go after Z.

Yesterday I met someone, she didn't know about these challenges so hopefully she will participate too.

I have enjoyed these weekly challenges for several reasons. 1) I don't have a blog. 2) There is no deadline. 3) There are no prizes. 4) There is no competition. 5) I'm having fun.

Sorry Faye. I am not always up to date on listimg the challenges in post # 3. It's there now, althoufg Kathy as told you.
Glad Jan and Steve are back home safe with their precios cargo. Cute how they hit the pool right away.
I just got back from the church. A group of us cleaned up after the soccer/Bible camp. Every year we have extensinpve sets. This year we had a travel theme and used many, many actual road signs. A young man from our church works for the highway department and got the signs out of the steel recycling bin at work. They were all screwed into lumber. We also had lots of banners, small and large flage from lots of different countries, and soccer ball posters as well as scripture verse posters. There were many hands today, so it made light work and we were done in 1 1/2 hours.
Now to catch up on my gardening. It is so dry here. We really need rain.

Faye, I'm so glad you are having fun with the challenges! I have made a dozen of the gum boxes. That may be enough for retreat, but I may make three more to be safe. I can always stick them in mailboxes at church if I have leftovers. All those boxes I posted will hold m&m's since you are using loose and not bags of them.
