I was disappointed today at scrapfest. Altenew did not have a booth there. One of the vendors had a small rack of Altenew stamps, but not anything I really liked. But, I still managed to spend $$$. I got 2 stamp sets, one by Kraftin Kimmie, the other by Art Impressions, several individual stamps, 4 small dies and an alcohol lift ink pad. Now I need to use all this stuff!

The only altenew I own was a gift from Lynn, and I love it! It is Peony Bouquet.

I really wish I had the energy to go to scrapfest.. But then again I am supposed to downsize.... Though grumpy seems too busy to actually talk about it... Oops going in circles again.

So my project is to downsize but I am not getting rid of craft stuff yet. I am going through the stuff that I haven't used since moving in March 2013. For instance I am only keeping recipe books I can actually use..especially since I am now gluten free.

We’ve also been clearing out unused things since we moved here, tomorrow we are doing the attic, well store room on the roof, it hasn’t been cleared since we moved in and we have just added things so now it’s full to bursting, the trouble is Steve would throw out everything, he’s not sentimental about anything, I’d better watch my step or I’ll be next, LOL

So Daryl passed away in January. And I time shifted. Jim, her husband was my temp hubby. When Daryl was on her death bed Jim's kids finally showed up. I did not want to get in the middle of anything so I have stayed away.. Then again my health hasn't been the greatest so it wasn't hard. So Jim's son and daughter have been dealing with everything which is what I wanted. The daughter moves out of the province on Monday. Jim will be forced to decide if he will go out of province or move closer to his son. He would like to stay where he is and control everything but the decision will be made for him. I was Daryl's friend and he just happened to be her hubby.. What I did was for her so she wouldn't worry. Does that sound wrong?

Lynn, you did more than enough, I’m pleased to hear you didn’t get dragged into looking after her husband, you don’t need any of that, I think you have enough looking after yourself.

Yes it took me a long time to recognize the toll it was taking on me. Everyone here was so supportive! I finally marked out how much I had been doing for Jim and wow. So yes my body was used up and I was running on fumes. It has taken me a while to get my body back though there have been set backs. Daryl passed in January.. Rosa passed in February then Frank passed in March. Not a good start to the year.

Chandler, the cat, decided he would lay down in the middle of the floor. Then he yelled at me to come to him! I told him I was having none of that and he had to come to me! Eventually I won the argument!

Not me I don't like cats at all! Steve has to put floor tiles around his tomato plants to stop them pooping all over his veg plot, our neighbour down the road has taken to feeding all the stays!

We spent two hours clearing out our tiny attic, we haven’t done it in fifteen years so you can imagine, Steve took two loads to the recycling bins and our Volvo is a big car!
We then put everything into plastic storage boxes and I’ve put them back, now the suitcases are on one side and Christmas things and toys and swimming things in another.
It was so hot as it got up to 28c and we were in The sun on the roof, we were shattered by the time we had finished. I can actually see the back wall now!

If an outdoor cat poops in your garden then other cats will come as a sort of communal bath.. Sorry .I forget what you can put there to keep them away.

Eeeekkk! I am doing Easter! Eeekk that means I need to cook! Eeekk that means I need to clean off the table!

Thanks Lynn, the tiles seem to be doing the trick as it covers the soil around the plants, one cheeky cat walks past our bedroom window in the morning and sometimes even looks in, thank goodness we have fly screens so he can’t walk in!

Yup given the chance the cat will come in and find a clean pile of laundry to sleep in! My cat is more of a ghost cat. The foster organization call a ghost cat.. A cat that hides a lot.. Does not want much interaction... Does not want cuddles.

Mine likes to yell at me to wake up and give her fresh food. She will check the food then go steal the warm spot on the bed.

Oh, Lynn, your cat stories crack me up! We don’t have pets now, but had cats, and dogs in the past, when kids were home, and even before kids. Now, we like not having to worry what to do with them when we leave home.

My tuxedo kitty is not a ghost cat. He is what they call a pest cat! LOL All he wants to do is eat! If I give him anything more than a few pieces he will stuff himself and then throw up! Lately his bawling has been driving me crazy and I put him in the bathroom until he quits bawling! When he is gone, I will not be getting another. and dogs are too needy. I don't have the time or ambition to walk dog. we have dogs years ago. We've had a Dalmatian, a White Shepherd / Husky mix, and a little black dachshund beagle mix.

Chandler the cat decided he would just lay in the middle of the floor and that's it! I went and sat in the usual spot but he wasn't moving.. after 15 minutes I checked his food and water then left. you should have seen the look on his face!

My cat, the picture in the avatar, gets naughty. She is supposed to take a supplement to help with her feline herpes but just stops. Then she starts sneezing... usually in my ear. Then she gets stinkier. Then she will throw up every where like it is my fault! UUUGGGHHH. She is definitely the worst cat I ever had. Life is so much easier when she sleeps under the bathroom sink!

Hugs all around

This is not going to be a good year. Just spoke to my high school friend, her father has leukemia. Then talked to my Michael's friend.. She was at the hospital all weekend. Her youngest grandson took an over dose of alcohol and Advil.

It was raining so hard at 2am it woke me up, couldn’t get back to sleep so I feel exhausted, it’s started again now and apparently it’s here for the whole Easter weekend, such a shame as the Spanish are all here for their holiday weekend. Not sure what we are doing today, we were planning a walk and lunch but not too sure now.

My spring cleaning and decluttering are doing well. I have at least 7 empty boxes. My carpet runners are clean and put away. The floors are all clean and I am so tired.

The kids will come over on Sunday. I have ham, veggies and potatoes. If it is gonna be hot I will get potato salad and Cole slaw so we can have a cold plate.

My neighbor is back! They had a great time and would love to go back.. NOW! Lol the twins mom brought me left over from her and her parents dinner. Yum! So I guess that would be chandler, the cat's grandparents?

So hugs all around and happy Easter to those who celebrate!

Lynn sounds like you are super organised, we’ve had torrential rain and high winds overnight, the pool water is practically swishing over the top so steve will have to drain some out! Woke up to something banging about but it’s still really windy but it’s stopped raining so hopefully when we cleaned up outside we might get a walk, anything to get out after being stuck inside all day yesterday as I didn’t even get upstairs to my craft room.

Oh no! Nothing could be further from the truth! I have pulled everything out. I pull out a box then sit in my chair to sort. After a few boxes there is absolutely no floor space at all!!!!! Then I need to figure out where to store those piles. This may take me a while. Today I just want to sleep!

Need help consolidating. I had numerous binders of different pocket pages. I would like to put those pages in my 12 x 12 creative memories album. Should I just find a simple 12 x 12 card stock and stick them on..or do I chose a color to show that this set of pages go together?

I'd go with different colors for different themes. It really helps to keep them grouped. I'd also buy an extra sheet or two that can be used later if you find more pictures and want to slip them into their theme!
