Kelly, great to see you dropping in. You are one busy gal. Remember to stop and take a deep beath once in awhile.
Jayne, congrats on winning a MISTI. I use mine a lot, even though I also have a Stamparatus. But my mini MISTI is so much more convenient for small stuff.
Happy anniversary Jan, for your two celebrations. Don't get high on the paint fumes.
I feel like a real slug, when I read how busy y'all are. All I have done today is put together 4 photo cards (adhere photo to a mat, adhere to card base, presto, all done). And I have prepared a Bible study for teaching tomorrow. Our pastor's wife was doing the teaching, but as of yesterday, pastor and his wife have left us to work for a mission society.

Jan, we booked Japan last year before we went on our Europe trip. It’s come around quickly and we aren’t ready for it. I doubt we will go away again this year but who knows. I think we are going with spontaneity this year lol.
Congrats on your two anniversaries..wow. We will never get to that being second timers. We do count the years we have been together though...now 26...nearly..lol. Still in honeymoon stage.
Painting..no thank you. Someone else can do that now for us. Lol. Enjoy and watch those ladders.

Ina, thank you for your congrats. I didn’t win a Misti but a $50 voucher. I have the original Misti and will get the magnets and corners I think. It was a lovely surprise yesterday.

Time to seize the day.

Have fun. Sleep well. It’s Tuesday already here and I’m going swinging lol

So, you are getting close to your 50th? A year from May?
You both work so hard! Painting? I will never have the energy to do that again! Another reason we sold and are renting! LOL

It’s our 48 th this year so not long before the big one, we were just putting the pictures back on the wall after painting the bedroom, we have two photos, one of me when I was first engaged and one of steve in the Army, I think he was 19, stick thin, makes you wonder what happened to all those years, ha,ha

Can’t believe you’ve been moved a year, that’s gone quickly

I didn’t see you onT for Tuesday this week, I actually managed it this week, while the paint was drying!

I must say even after all these years we still enjoy each other’s company more than other people’s, well most of the time, LOL I think it helps that I have my crafting so steve gets a few hours quiet time every day but we work well together when we are doing jobs, Steve always says team Spencer did it again, ha,ha

Most times DH and I work well together. I love him even more now 44 years later than I did at the beginning! He's such a good man. I've known him for 46 years because we dated two years before we got married. Sometimes he gets a bit angry when he's working on stuff he hates (like plumbing!) And then grumbles a lot. I don't like working with anyone who is grumbling, yet I sometimes grumble too when doing something I hate! LOL

Jan, we have a a team name too and we prefer being together than with others...even with the kids sometimes lol...but never the poppets. He is my rock and calms me down and I bring him out of his shell as he’s a quiet chap. We are evenly balanced. I wouldn’t be where I am today without him...oh going all gushy now. Love him millions.

Morning Ladies,
We had a spring clean in our bedroom after painting it, every Item was cleaned before being put back in place so now it’s sparkling clean, smells of paint still though!

I have to clean the spare room and put the bedding back on the bed today, we put everything from our room in there yesterday so it was messed up too! Funny how doing one room messes up the whole place.

Happy Thursday everyone....its a new challenge day and I still have about 4 to do from this thread. I will get to them when I return from my trip unless I find time before we go.

Today was a crappy day LOL...starting with a sinus headache that feels as though it's coming back. Hubby has vertigo and a bleeding ear after he had his ears syringed at the Drs earlier today and we have a dinner catchup with friends that may end up being cancelled. I also lost our garage remote between the shops and the Drs/pharmacy and after retreading my steps and reporting it to Centre Management it's still lost and I've also lost about 2 hours of my day LOL. We were supposed to start packing today but no such luck.
I did post some happy mail today so I achieved something LOL.

On that note, I have washing to bring in and fold...LOL.

Enjoy your day.

Jayne sounds like you’ve had a really bad day, we leave our keys in the car now or in Steve’s pocket so we don’t loose them,ha,ha, I’m always putting keys down when I lock up at night and can’t find them in the morning, it winds Steve up as he’s so perfect of course!!! LOL

Default S2S19M 'Sponge it'

Good morning everyone! Time for another challenge, and since I did not get a sample made for the planned challenge, so I am changing it. I was playing with a technique yesterday and although my sample is flawed, at least I have one. The challenge is to sponge our paper (image, panel, or border) in a way that you don't usually do it. My sample was a bit of a flop, as I used panpastels and seeing as they are chalks, and I got some on my fingers and smudged the border, when I removed the mask.

Sharon it’s not TH, it’s like a paste, they call Treasure Gold gilding Wax, I have silver the other ones I have are Gold Topaz and Indigo Blue, they sell loads of colours, I bought them from a craft store from the UK but I would imagine they sell it everywhere.
A little goes a long way, I’ve had it years, LOL

Ina your card is beautiful, I love the simplicity of it, not something I’m good at but I will have a go over the weekend.
I know what you mean about chalks, I have some chalk pads but I think you have to seal them as I always smudge them. I’ve also tried chalk sticks and I just make a mess, well I do with everything, ha,ha,

I thought I’d give you a chuckle...I nearly lost my knickers (underwear) at the shops today too...they are my comfy pants and I really should have thrown them out but I still like them lol. Well I was pulling them up as they felt loose and by the time I was leaving the shops I thought these aren’t going to stay up for much longer....I expected them to end up around my ankles..lol. They are now tossed in the bin which I’m sad about...I nearly cut the pretty lace off for scrapping lol.

Happy Thursday everyone..nearly time for bed this end

Jayne you made me smile as I have some old ones that I keep for travelling as they are so comfy,, Steve calls them my wedding knickers as he reckons I’ve had them so long, LOL
Mine are the same if I wear loose trousers they start to creep down, I have loads of new ones, very pretty ones but when you sit on a plane for 11 hours you really need something soft, you will know what I mean.

HI girls.
Popping in for a hot minute. I should be working. Just dreary/ cold out and I'm not much motivated lol.

I've been playing. I've made the basics of 2 junk journals in 2 months. A new challenge went up today. So loving making these. Still making cards. Will have to look back and see if any will fit my blog posts for inspiration.

Here.. just not 'here' hehe

Just had a lovely day, we had a lazy morning, had our tea in bed and didn’t get up unyil 10am although we both had a bad night, Steve had an upset stomach, not sure why so he didn’t feel well and kept waking me up so we didn’t wake up until 8am, I had an hour in my craft room tidying the mess I left yesterday and then we went out for lunch on the Marina.
I must have chosen the biggest plates so I’m full to bursting, we had salad to start then I had beef stew but it was Moroccan style, then hake, cheesecake, coffee and a small baileys, (that was free!j Steve had crab and lobster salad, salmon that had prawns and clams in a sauce, €10 each, the waiter kept saying lovely jubberly every time he took the plates away, Jayne you may remember Del Boy, only fools and horses! That was one of his sayings, ha,ha,

Umm what does someone do for Easter? I have not planned Easter in over 10 years, my friend who passed away always did it. My son has chosen not be be religious. His GF is Korean and their traditions are so different. I thought of us getting together and doing something but my mind is a blank! Yeah my son will be 30 at the end of the month so I don't think an Easter egg hunt will do! Lol

My boys are in their thirties also but I'll bet they'd hunt eggs if I hid them! They know I am loony like that! LOL

My son knows that unless he brings the chocolate with him ... I will hide it all.. Then I will hear it calling my name.. He will show up to find mom in her nightie with chocolate wrappers all around me! Yup what a sight!

Lynn, I still do easter egg hunts but unfortunately will be away this year and the poppets were not amused. DGS said "but nannie we always come to your house for the Easter Egg hunt and where will the Easter Bunny go to now". Yesterday he was not happy with me when we were saying goodbye...gosh I shall never go away again at Easter or school holidays unless I have to. Our boys also love the egg hunt. We hide them around the house and in our little garden and hubby hid some across the road in the park last year...such fun. I still buy everyone an egg, including hubby. No-one gets me one but that's ok...hubby shares his with me LOL. I shall miss it this year.

Well ladies, I have never stopped today cleaning and packing and am stuffed LOL...or shattered as we say. I wish you all a very happy weekend and week and will see you early May when we are back. If I get chance I will pop on now and again to say hi.

Sakura and cherry blossom here we come..I'm excited.

Jayne Have a safe trip and look forward to seeing some photos too.

I used to buy all of ours Easter eggs but only if we see them just before or after nowadays otherwise they would melt here! They are actually selling English Easter eggs here this year, expensive though, one year we went to Thornton’s, which is a chocolate shop that sells the most wonderful chocolates, we bought a massive Easter egg for Maria who worked in the office at the football ground, she was so amazed by it and the size she took photos and sent them to everyone she knew.
Here they sell Easter cookies and a round sweet bread I think it is with coloured hard boiled eggs in it!! Give me an Easter egg any day, ha,ha, I love the caramel ones.

Been busy messing this afternoon to do the challenge Ina set us, I’ve used colours I never normally used! Just need to take a photo.

I had to come downstairs as it started raining and thundering even though the sun was out but it’s been very blowy, makingmy craft room cold.

If I had gotten stuck in traffic today, I would have been stuck eating homemade tandycakes! I had a half sheet leftover from class!
