Time? It is now 3:22 PM. I only know this because it is on my computer. I never know what time it is. My stomach is beginning to growl so it must be snack time or supper time. I haven't worn a watch since I retired, 8 years ago.

I was hoping to get a peek at the new SAB items soon. They can be ordered on the 15th I think, but I've got what I want out of the current SAB catalog.

Jayne you are 14 hours ahead of me and I am on Central Standard Time...you should be tucking yourself in to bed and I just finished my breakfast!

Time to get the socks and shoes on so I can begin my day, which will include organizing my cards as I have a lady that may meet me in town this morning to have a look at what I have made!

I don't sell my cards because I am not interested in paying taxes at my husbands tax rate. At times she does give me a gift certificate to JoAnn's to replenish the supplies I use...she likes my style and I like making cards!

I probably have enough leftover pre-prep stash from VSN’s gone by to go awhile lol because everytime I think I can use what I didn’t use for one VSN I can for the next but VSN always changes themes so off I go pre-prepping new stuff that I think would fit the theme . Haha then I’m totally at a lost when my train of thought and preparing does and I’m left with stash on stash lol . ... but that’s a good thing in away since I really don’t have the luxury or the stores like Michael’s , Joanna’s , Hobby Lobby, and etc . That may just be a blessing to me that we don’t? Haha as if I still wish we had a hobby lobby. Or that Tuesday morning or dollar stores . We had doctors appointments this morning, picked a day when we could get the first appointment, so she starts 20 minutes late, I only had to get a new digital meds prescription, Steve to tell her when his cardiologist appointment is and for once she gave us a note so that we could book bloods and ECG early, saved us going back in June but then Steve asked if she could recommend some cream to stop bleeding as he takes blood thinners, so he showed her behind his ear where his glasses rubbed and it keeps bleeding, she scared me as she jumped up fetched another doctor and then said he has to go to the dermatologist, she cleaned it and took a photo and scanned it into her computer which goes direct to the hospital, so now he has to wait for a phone call, he was so down afterwards, said he wished he hadn’t mentioned it! I was just worried!
Steve hates being ill and taking all these pills, gets him down that he can’t do all the stuff he used to, saying that we came back and he painted one side of the villa, iwith an extended pole with the roller on it, LoL I was in charge of mopping the paint he splattered all over the tiles etc.

few errands to run later this afternoon. Going late so I can go to the Chinese buffet for the cold peel/ eat shrimp. Today is the Chinese New Year so thought I'd go celebrate with them. Wish you all could join me.

This morning I'm getting my card done for the first challenge - the 2 part one. I've had the papers in mind, just didn't do them together. That challenge will be perfect for the SU card I need to post today

Which size did you order? Did you order any extra magnets?

I ordered extra ones as the small only comes with one and I always wish I had 3...the rulers I ordered should be here on Thursday...I'll get to play with them in the evening!

It always bothers me when people say "old"...I taught my children to say someone is an "older" person...you aren't old until you die...

Well, then we knew a family whose young child died, that caused them some confusion yet the did get my point...Some day if we live long enough we too will be older...

I really like using the stamp of the older couple where he has flowers behind his back for making wedding cards and saying...I hope your marriage will be one of many years together!

I ordered the mini MISTI, a paper pack, and the Novus cleaner. I figured this would cover me for a while to get my feet wet and then slowly get more products. I have a few magnets from Walmart. They may not be as strong, but since it's the mini MISTI, I thought it should be fine with the one they send. At least for now. With S/H, taxes, and the extra, my total was still a little under $20, thanks to MISTI Monday! I'm feeling like a little kid waiting for Christmas Morning

Question? Do you want to see the Gina K deco foil I got? I can take pictures tomorrow when my eye feels a bit better. My arthris of the eye is flaring.

Thank you Lynn for all of the helpful hints. I love to see what everyone buys and how they use it. So, yes to your Gina K.

I used a small piece of ribbon to wrap my magnets in as I couldn’t pick them up.

I actually broke one of my bigshot plates yesterday, it was a bit like a banana but I was using an embossing folder but one that cuts too, not sure if I should have taken all the layers off my old platform before I pushed it through, it felt tight but the first time it was ok, the funny think was I stood with it in my hand just looking at it, my face must have been a picture as I just couldn’t believe it, good job I have a spare one.

Has anyone actually put them in the oven to straighten them? I have about 12 old ones that I’ve kept.

Make more cards with your stash....I loved Faye's card with washie tape and I have enough washie tape to sink a ship. I'm going to get out more negatives and put scraps behind them and add a sentiment.

Can't wait to see what you do with your birds LOL

Me too..I got that tip from Jennifer McGuire and still using the original one I laminated. The rest of the pack is still sitting there unused. I also got 3 additional magnets and the cleaner but hardly use the cleaner. I find baby wipes is sufficient. I'd love the large bar magnets but not seen them here in Oz yet.

Question? Do you want to see the Gina K deco foil I got? I can take pictures tomorrow when my eye feels a bit better. My arthris of the eye is flaring.
Oh yes please. I still have deco foils I think they are called...the original ones that came out in a roll....only used them once. Must revisit those.

Take care

Not in the oven but I saw another tip...Jennifer McGuire again I think...where she suggested when the plates are warped, to just turn them up the other way and run them through the machine. I do that after every die cut and it helped to flatten them out somewhat. Mine are scratched and the bottom one (which is a red one...again a tip from JM LOL) I didn't cut my die the correct way the first time so that has a butterfly imprint on it LOL. I know they will break in time and I purchased a spare pack when I got my Big Shot which is now over 2 years old so going good.

I also put washie tape on my magnets but have had to replace it twice already...another tip from JM....gee that lady is good LOL

Happy Wednesday everyone....no cards or scrapping done today but I have lots planned for the next few days when I have some free ME time.

Enjoy your day and sleep well...including you Lynn....go to bed as I know you will probably be awake now although I see it's now 5pm here so must be 5am somewhere in the US/Canada.

Freezing rain here. All schools are closed, that includes universities and colleges.

Great tips about the MISTI. I have a small one and it came with 2 magnets. However, I often still have to use my embossing buddy on the paper a lot of the time. And the washi tape with tails are a must, as no matter how careful you are, there are going to be times you set them down too close to each other and they will snap together.

My magnets I put washi tape on...they still snap together but I have learned to "slide" them apart, it is much easier. I always give a little "scream" when they snap together! Then I chuckle at myself for being so easily startled.

I have a funny story that just popped into my head...

I spent an hour stood on a stool which was on a work surface in my outside utility filling in the cracks in the walls and ceiling, just got to paint it tomorrow and clean the floors etc and then we are going out for lunch.
Steve has pulled his calf muscle so we didnt walk this morning I spent this afternoon. First in my craft room doing my blog and then tidying and then cleaned out under the sink, Steve told me ICI needs some chemicals back, LOL I can never resist a new product but they are limited here compared to the UK.

I mentioned I think that I bought a tin of different size magnets, it came with a letter all about how to use them, I was scared to open the tin after reading it, ha,ha, they do snap together pretty sharpish and they are hard to pull apart but they aren’t as strong as the TH magnets for the stamp platform.

Default S2S19E 'All about the sentiment'

Hello ladies. I'm not sure if I will have to go out early, but I will post this evening anyway.
This week, lets focus on sentiments. Make it the what the eye goes to first. On my first sample card, it is a large sentiment, on the second, it is only two words, but they are large and a bold die cut. Another easy challenge.

Ina, great challenge and I think I can combine it with another challenge I saw on here...thank you for this. Love your cards.

Phew, it is hot here today...I am melting and now indoors. I shall have the aircon on in my craft room otherwise it will be unbearable. The only thing that likes it in there is my orchid LOL

Happy Thursday and creating everyone. Watch out for those magnets LOL
