Hi everyone. Sharon and Lynn I sympathise with you. I hope you both can get out soon. Sharon, can you imagine those poor passengers on the inside cabins on the Diamond Princess?  More cases today...I think there’s around 180 now..eek.

I started another LO last night and have an idea for Kelly’s challenge. I’m also inking up lots of stamps I’ve not used before but not a full set but will find one and do Ina’s January challenge.

I have to go birthday pressie hunting today and am meeting a friend for lunch. Then back to scrapping..yay.

Happy day everyone.

Maybe by late March I can look back on this! LOL
Still can’t unscrew lids on things. Pulling up and down my sweats or pjs is difficult and keeps my hands hurting, even with the splints on.
But gets better every day, I think.  I can turn door knobs now!

Hello everyone. I have been AWOL. Lynn is getting better, hooray!  Did y'all see that Sharon is being showered with teapotter cards this week? How cool is that? Not cool that she got injured and the seriousness of surgery on both wrists, but it's fun to have a tea party for her!
I'll be joining the party as soon as I get on my feet again. I got labrynthitis again. Not a really bad attack, but bad enough to keep me flat in bed yesterday. Good thing I had a bucket beside my bed. (for you know what) Each trip to the bathroom was an adventure. Anyway, I already feel improved. I'm hungry, so I hope I will be able to keep some food down. I also need to make a phone call to cancel my dental appointment of today. Was unable to do that yesterday, so I hope I won't be charged for the visit.

Oh, Ina, sorry you are suffering from  labrynthitis now!  2020 has been something so far!  I hope it gets better for all of us.
Yes, I saw they are having a tea party for me; so fun.  And I has already made me feel better, that they are doing it!

Ina so sorry to hear you have been unwell, pleased to hear you are slowly recovering.

Sharon pleased you hear you getting better too, it’s been quite a start to the year for us all I think, at least things can only get better.LOL

Weather here is not quite so cold but rainy and windy again, every time the sun comes out we think we can go for a walk but by the time we are ready it’s raining again. It doesn’t help when our neighbour keeps sending photos of the sun at home!

I’ve been watching YouTube on using my journal page die, geli plate techniques and looking at Pinterest!

snowed here yesterday.  Now it is 12 degrees F.  Brr! DH took me across town for haircut and style.  Then we went out to eat.  I am so awkward with these splints that I spilled  a whole glass of ice water all over me.  I couldn’t wait to get home and get the wet, cold clothes off!  I am warm now!
Jan, I have been looking at same kind of you tubes.

Happy Galantines day ladies. We don’t celebrate Valentines although hubby told me to go and buy a small and cheap sewing machine for my craft room and he’s just called me to ask what colour chair did I want for my room. He said he didn’t want to spoil my surprise but he had forgotten lol.

Last night we went to an outdoor valentines concert where one of our top bands was playing. We took a picnic and the night was awesome. I even got hubby up to dance.

It’s 97 degrees (36) here already..or was an hour ago. I melted when I went out earlier. Hubby is now home and told me that it was showing 42 on his car...eek. I’ve just brought in the washing and put more out. It dries very quickly in this heat.

Jan and Sharon I’ve been watching you tube videos on making travel journals and junk journals and other stuff. I’m trying to use some things I’ve learnt on my scrapbook pages....or will. I watch so many videos and then forget to try the technique out. I am inking up a lot of stamps I haven’t used though this year..yay.

I have a card to finish for the teapot party *wink* and have two pages to post that I scrapped yesterday. So enjoying finishing my travel scrap pages.

Sending you all lots of hugs and love...I’m spreading it around today...mwah xo

We don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day either Jayne, I nipped to Tesco yesterday before picking up GS from Kindergarten, all the men walking around the flower display made me laugh,
Our son was pretending last night that he thought it was Saturday! Well I hope he was as our DILs face was a picture, ha,ha, she didn’t look too amused!

I’ve been looking at junk journals too, that’s something I want to try.

Our GS just knocked on our bedroom door shouting It’s Santa day, he had a box of chocolates and a card for both of us to share, what a lovely surprise, our son said it’s to thank us for looking after GS!

Jan, we can do junk journals together and use up our stash lol.  That’s my intention and to make travel journals instead of buying them.

I’ve just planned a page to do tomorrow and did one earlier today. I’m loving scrapping and I made my weekly card quota.

Hubby has put together my chair he bought for me, and it took me 1.5 hrs to figure out how to get my new sewing machine to work..with hubby’s help.

Gosh just to thread the needle is a nightmare for me lol. I put on red thread thinking I could use it on my page and now don’t need it. I keep thinking gosh it’s going to take forever to thread another colour. It only took me a couple of goes to sew sort of straight though lol.  The challenges we have lol.

Jayne that’s a good idea to make junk journals to use stash, I’ve watched one that used a book but she took all the pages out, I thought she would glue some pages together to make them thicker and use them! I see you need to paint the page with gesso to stop the ink sinking in too, I’m rearing to get started now, hope my enthusiasm lasts until I get home.

Another stormy weekend forecasted, Ferries to Spain have been cancelled again so fingers crossed for a week on Sunday as we are sailing home!

Just been to the park at the castle with our GS for two hours, luckily he met a friend to play with, I caught him stomping in some mud, he looked up and saw me and went, oh,oh! I had to laugh, he then walked through some water and told me he was cleaning his boots!

Happy galintines! I think that is how it is slept? Anyways I may be possibly who knows on the mend again. It felt like I was back at the beginning again. I think I am getting better cause I don't have a constant noise in my right ear though I do still lean to the left. I hug the wall in halls.. Got a few interesting looks trying to do laundry! Grumpy has checked in and he finished his first week training a new person. Sunday he is gonna grocery shop for me.

Hey on a funny note! We figure my car will come in handy when we live together! Yup only the miles of a little old lady going to church on Sunday! I figure I will finish teaching sweet pea to drive on my car and then we can share it.

Lynn, sounds like a good plan..save on running costs and fuel.

Jan, thanks for the gesso tip.  I hadn’t seen that. I love books and not sure I could tear some up unless they are awful books lol. I will use some pages out of books if I do and my stash and junk mail too.  I want different sized pages. I bought a very large needle for sewing when I picked up my sewing machine. Gosh I will be hand and electric sewing...whatever next lol.

I need to find out if my sis and BIL survived their Asian cruise.

I’m playing the rest of today,...yay.

Jayne I know what you mean about tearing into books, I might go to the charity shop and get one, mind you I’ve got an old map book that I could use, that’s if someone hasn’t thrown it out when we were de cluttering!

Your Sis is brave going in the first place I think, they showed pictures of China town in London, desolated, no one is going just in case.

I got a real chuckle out of that. So cute. What a delight he is. I guess it makes up for his mother's unthankfulness.

I am better. Went out to get some groceries yesterday. Thank you for all your kind words and thoughts. Now Lynn needs to hurry up and get better too.
It is really strange with the temps today. My weather app tells me our temp is -16, yet Toronto is at -5°C and it is only 50 miles away. I have not been outside yet. As cold as it is, it's probably better than the extreme heat you are having Jayne. At least I can turn up my heat (which I did) and layer on more clothes. But there are only so many clothes you can take off. Good thing you have air conditioning.
My DD went up north east to Ottawa to visit her father-in-law, and also to skate on the Rideau canal with her family, and she sprained her ankle last evening. She won't be skating.

Pleased you are better Ina, poor DD, not good when you have children to look after!

Our GS is a treasure, we love to take him out.

Our DGSS are in Montana skiing with their Mum as it’s half term holiday. Youngest prefers Snowboarding apparently, the village where they are staying looks beautiful, like Christmas with all the lights.

Hi Jan, yep. We have 3 nights there I think...2 days. We need to book tickets to the Palace. We are just waiting another week before we book the rest of our trip. The virus is worrying us and my hubby says we won’t go if it gets worse..eek.  I need to get a travel journal organised to take too.

I was just going to say make sure you book the Alhambra palace as it’s busy all year round, don’t forget the time you book is to get in the palace so allow for getting your tickets and a walk through  the gardens to get there!
There’s only one case in Spain and that’s on one of the Canary Islands, we are taking all our food on the ferry and I’ve got wipes to clean the cabin, not taking any chances.
We’ve just booked our flights for the end of September to go to SF, hopefully it will all be over by then.

Thanks Jan for the update on the Palace. Do they allow you time to go back into the gardens or are they outside the palace? We are going to book tomorrow and start looking at trains. We’ve held off but have decided we will go. What’s the worst that could happen....well.....!

Anyone creating today...I was hoping to but we’ve had a busy day and about to head out again. Sis Vicki did post a creation so she is back...yay.

Happy day everyone.

Jayne once you’ve been around the palace you can stay as long as you like, you get the headphones and there’s stopping places around the gardens to listen to the recording about different parts of the grounds and it’s history etc. We’ve only ever been in winter so the gardens were quite bare but it looks lovely when the gardens are in bloom.

Cartwheels? I think not!
But I am so glad you are better. Now take care of yourself, and have some fun.

I broke my vow..oops. I went to our craft shop to get a friend something and it was like walking into Aladdin’s Cave. I should have just bought the friends item and left but then I thought of my scrapping and journalling and spotted a new ticket stamp set and die...so what do I do...yep in the basket it goes and with craft paper but I needed that lol. I’m telling myself that the hubby or kids have bought them for me...early birthday or Mother’s Day gift...they just don’t know yet. Now that is it for this year...no more lol.

I’m hopeless. I’m going to watch a video on pockets lol.

Jan, check out junkjournalideas on You Tube...or it may come up as Artcraftcrazy. The lady makes amazing journals, plus she’s got free downloads. I’ve downloaded a lot today lol.

Jayne, naughty, naughty, I bought a craft mag as it had stamps and dies on it free, mind you it cost £7.99, Steve’s face was a picture when he saw the price but I guess the stamps would have cost more than that so a bargain in my book, ha,ha,

Thanks Jayne, I’ve been looking how to use napkins, I have some glass coasters that Steve doesn’t to use with our tiled floors, if you have a cold drink they stick to the glass and then drop off. Anyway I’ve seen how to use a napkin to cover them, worth a try.

Jan that happens with our glass coasters and when it’s humid lol. I smashed one mono up tiles a few months ago when it dropped off the bottom of my glass. I can imagine Steve’s face.

I’m thinking of ideas for my travel journal for Spain..going to incorporate red and yellow in it but not all of it and some Spanish icons. I’ve also been looking at tickets for Granada...gosh it’s complicated....palaces, General life, night visits, foundation and so it goes on. Why can’t they just roll the lot into one ticket lol.

Jayne everything is complicated now days, can’t even order a coffee with a multi question. Session,
We’ve only had a daytime visit and then another day took a bus tour where you can hop on and off, we stayed at the Hotel Alixaires, right up near the palace as there’s no problem parking and we could walk across the road, the bus tour starts from there too.
We had an amazing New Year’s Eve there, the evening was fab as the meal had about ten course, wines, cava etc, I think we were up until 3am and then Steve had to drive home after breakfast as New Year’s Day is usually dead as nowhere is open so we decided we leave, what a mistake, ha,ha,our son and DIL had come over from USA, they loved it, before the DGSs of course.
