I'll try, but I can't promise anything. My zoom has not been working for prayer meetings, so I don't know how it will work for rhis. Spotty internet in the country.

My internet will not work here in Wisconsin for Zoom, as the signal is too weak and I keep freezing. Not fun!

Sorry ladies. I was asleep early last evening. The heat is rather de-energizing and I was busy during the day. The upstairs of my house, where the bedrooms are, is like Lynn's one room. I do not have air conditioning. And there has been not even the hint of a breeze this week. I'm really looking forward to Friday, when the weatherman promises rain. I have spent so much time watering my gardens.

No worries Ina. When I was in the townhouse I used to spend the summer days in the basement where it was cool.

Early risers this week can catch a glimpse of a brilliant comet streaking through the morning sky — and it doesn’t take a fancy telescope to see it.

The Comet NEOWISE can be seen low on the horizon to the northeast in Canada and the United States, where it’s suddenly become visible on its journey out of our solar system. The comet looks like a bright ball with a glowing tail moving across the sky at dawn.
The object can be easily spotted with binoculars or a camera with a zoom lens, although some skywatchers have also been able to spot it with the naked eye

In my area the rain was annoying. In other areas it caused floods

I am trying to remember when I was last out of my apartment. I have been reading and completely lost in the stories. Login Louise Penny. She writes pictures with words. Since I was born in Quebec I completely understand when she sometimes throws French words in.

Oh and grumpy is happy I am not out there in this crazy heat. So I am being a good girl for a change! Lol

Ina, I couldn’t get to the PO until this past Tuesday, so your card will probably be late. I had it made for a while, just couldn’t get it mailed! The last card I mailed to Canada took Over a month!

I nearly forgot! It usuallybtakes a week. So just maybe it will get there on time! I'm making corn relish for DH. He rarely asks for anything, so its worth the time for only 2 1/2 quart. I can them in pints.

I went to Michael's! Yup me! I have no idea as to how many days it has been since I was last out. It has been a prolonged heatwave then you add the smog.. Yuck.

It has not been cooling down at night at all. I have pretty much been in my room reading. Even with the AC on the living room. Barely cools down. And this is only July! Next month will be worse! I see a lot of reading in my future

Lynn, reading is good. My sister-in-law and I trade books all the time. When the pandemic first shut us down, I read a lot, as it was too cold and early to garden. Now, I am too busy to read much. An older couple in our church just moved to New Brunswick. She's 88 and he's 90. She was an avid reader and had so many many books. She left behind about 1/3 of them. They were piled high on two banquet style tables and still more in boxes. They were in the lobby of our church and we could make appointments to come in and take as many books as we wanted. I went in and chose 2 shopping bags full. I held off on the children's books as I wanted the young moms to have a chance at them, but most did not seem interested, so I went back to get 2 bags of those too. When I got them home and looked at them closer, I found one kid's book that was illustrated by Stella East. It was called The Paintbox. Stella is the sister of an aunt of my two sons-in-law, and she has attended many Christmas and/or Thanksgiving parties with us. Very serendippidy! She lives in Norway and is an excellent artist, although I don't like all of her work (just not my style)

Sharon, I really like rubbernecker stamps and have several. As a matter of fact, I placed an order a couple of weeks ago and am awaiting the arrival. They had a great sale, but even so, it cost me an arm and a leg, when they added the shipping and the exchangebon the Canadian $.

Ladies, we are currently getting a much longed for and much needed rain! So wonderfull. I was just out there in the rain, watering my flowers. Before you (like my neighbours) think I am crazy, let me explain. There is an overhang on the front of the house and I have flowerbeds all along the front, half of which are under the overhang, so do not get any of the falling rain. And when the rain started, it was a gentle rain that even stopped for while, so I was able to empty the rain barrel several times before the big rain came gushing down. Right now it is thundering too, so I am staying inside.

I think my neighbors think I am weird. My door has been sticking..as in I have to hit it like a line backer to get into my apartment. I have to pull the door towards me to get out and the handle is getting loose from me trying to get it open. So what did I do?

I put on safety goggles.. I put on boots.. I had my peach nightie on and I pulled out the detail sander to sand the door. What else am I supposed to do?

Ina there is a wind that just started here. Lots of clouds but no rain yet.

Oh question. How well do the rain barrels that attach to the down spout work? At the townhouse there was barely any grass and no room for anything to capture water.
