Gracie , it’s amazing speaking to everyone so far away ,although our family have been in America for twenty years so we are used to it but FaceTime is amazing, makes me upset sometimes as we lived in Germany from getting married as Steve was in the British Army and our sons were born out there, it must have been so upsetting for my parents only seeing photos and having the old tape recordings to listen to as they didn’t have a phone in the house until after I was married. Our eldest son was seven before we moved back to the UK, at least I get to speak to our GSs.
Our GS Who is seven just rang us, he got upset last night as he’s worried he isn't go to see us for a long time, they should be coming over the end of June for two weeks and he’s worried they won’t be able to come over.

Prayer request please. The mother of the twins next door has not been feeling well since Tuesday and now has a high fever. She just sent me a text not to come over. I had been checking in on them to see how they were coping.

Thanks!!

Lynn, hope your friend and neighbour is doing ok. We don't seem to have it in the community and only new cases are related to cruise ships and fewer each day now. Do you have a lot of cases in your community?

How are you all going? All good this end. Just had art class with DGD...such fun.

Lynn, did you put up a freebie from Whimsy stamps or was I dreaming it? A free digi? I can't find it now.

Lynn, that’s sad news, does the lady live with the twins and their Mum?

We have 28 cases in our town, 3 deaths a few still in intensive care but the rest recovered, we have t heard of any on our Urbanización so fingers crossed that’s true, at least everyone shopping are being super careful thank goodness.

I think Lynn meant that it is the mother of the twins, who is ill.
There is one case of Covid in our town. It is in the nursing home where my sister-in-law and I do hymn sings on Thursdays. However the singing was stopped 5 weeks ago. We sang with people on the residential floor and the sick person is upstairs on the nursing home floor, and latest report is that this person is doing well.

I'm waiting to hear from my brother. His daughter was sick with fever but she was also throwing up so I'm hoping it is just a bug. He has lung issues and his wife has one kidney due to kidney cancer. The daughter is 21 or around there. And she dropped stuff off at moms last week. We've been trying very hard to keep mom and dad safe.

Kathy I think you said your mum and dad live next door? If so at least you can shop for them I guess, it’s not a pleasure going shopping at all.

Yes Ina is right. It is the twin's mom that is sick. Last I spoke to her she was thinking of taking the kids to see her parents for Easter. I advised that it would be best that they all stay in the car. They are safer talking to her parents from the car. Not certain if she heard what I was saying.

Sending hugs to you all, I think we all one.

Sharon, I downloaded messenger but don’t have a clue how to do it, I’ve sent Jayne a message so I hope she has it so she has me on her list, I guess she’s in bed now.
Steve makes me paranoid as he hates social media so I didn’t put a photo, I think that’s why Jayne couldn’t find me, LOL

I’ve spent today tidying my Christmas drawer, I threw quite a bit out, organised sentiments and toppers into different boxes, I’m also covering some tins, I keep adding more paint, I think I may have overdone it, ha,ha, that’s me never know when to stop.

Hello! Lynn, I agree, I guess we all could use prayers. I hope the twin's mom recovers quickly.

Kathy, I hope you brother's daughter just has the stomach flu. Scary times.

Hi Jan, yup I imagine Jayne is sleeping. I know she was working on a scrapbook page last night when I went to bed. I love organizing...my hubby says I do more organizing than crafting! LOL It's all part of creating!

Ina, how wonderful that you sing at the nursing home, but too bad it had to stop. I'm sure they miss it. If I sang, everyone would wish they were deaf!

Lynn, that bear is adorable.
Glad your niece is better Kathy. Nowadays, we always think the worst, but we need to rememvpber, that although many things have changed, many things remain the same. Other diseases still happen. There was a reminder today, to pay attention to your health issues and get medical help if needed. For example, if you are having chest pain, don't ignore it just because you think your doctor is too busy with Covid.
I check in with Dr. John Canpbell, every day on You Tube. He is from the UK. He is a lecturer and researcher at universities, and is reviewing numbers and statistics regarding Covid. He has really good and common sense advice.

Ina, they’ve been telling people every day on TV in the UK not to delay if you have other serious issues, the worry I think is people are scared of going to the hospital in case they catch the virus,

Jan, I didn't have a message but when I tried searching for your name again it brought up a message and I am hoping that it's you. I have sent you a cryptic message back so I know I have the right person. I am with Steve, you can't be too careful on social sites lol.

Have a great day everyone. I need to catch up on some commenting on cards. No craft for me today. I went shopping earlier and gosh that wasn't too bad but still risky...the only consolation for us (DH went with me today) is that our numbers are now single digit and not community spread. I still washed my hands a lot and sanitised though LOL. I also received an order from Vegas...via Amazon. I was more concerned about the parcel than our shopping LOL.

It's a beautiful day here, sunny and warm. It will be good to get outside. I was hoping to make some cards but I think I need fresh air and an attitude adjustment first! LOL

Kathy, so glad your niece is getting better.

Ina that's good advice to see the Dr. for serious symptoms. I think most of us would rather stay away from clinics and hospitals. I feel so bad for all the medical workers. What a stressful time for them.

Jan, sixties music is so much fun to listen to...it takes me back to my youth and carefree days spent at the beach or out dancing with friends!

Jayne, glad you got your shopping done with DH. Our hands are going to be so dried out with all our hand washing!

Lynn, I hope your neighbor is doing alright. I can't imagine being ill and caring for twins.

Yeah!! I got to speak to an actual person!!!!! My son dropped off some food and we talked for more than 5 minutes!!! I asked sweet pea to look for emery boards. I know it is an old fashioned term but there are so many different names for things. It is hard to describe the things you usually just grab. Sweet pea got frustrated when grumpy couldn't find the right tampons for her. I told her to take a picture for him. She would have a hard time finding a car part.

Big huge hugs!!!

Just been to the PO, we haven’t been collecting the mail, I managed to post GSs card thank goodness, then I walked to the English shop, no flour but managed to get frozen puff pastry and a tin of custard, no powder and found one pack of bran flakes!

I walked without my mask as there wasn’t anyone about at all, I could hardly breathe when I put it on before going into the shop, I had a chat with a friend at the PO while waiting for it to open, the husband of the lady in the post office Is a friend of ours, he owns the restaurant outside the football ground, she was pleased to see me and asked after the family, she said Pepe is fine too although his restaurant is closed.

It was sooooo good to walk in the sunshine, a slight breeze, wonderful. I’ve just got back and cut my fringe as it kept blowing in my eyes but I didn’t want to touch it, LOL

You and Gracie are brave cutting your fringes..I won’t touch my hair...I’m going to tie it up when it gets long lol. I noticed that it’s starting to show the grey today lol.

Jan, I’m having problems with Booking.com. Just when I thought I had sorted everything out, the hotels in Spain are saying our booking is still open and no refund, etc even though I thought it was done. I have asked for a refund but they say Spain will be open by 29 April?? I thought it was another 3 weeks to early May before you guys can come out of isolation and may change.

I’m so over going back and forth with them and Emirates now have taken our booking off their site so I can’t find out the info they need for us to get a refund. I’ve had to send them an email to a department that has nothing to do with my query and I’m worried they will just ignore it. We have said if we don’t get this sorted with them all, we won’t use them again. We have used Emirates for years and been so loyal. I’m so disappointed. They get you to book and trying to cancel or amend is a nightmare with everyone. DH says we should try our travel insurance but it specifically says not pandemics. I’m going to keep on at them both until the date we were due to leave which is a week away but it’s so frustrating.

Jayne we have been told lockdown is until May 9th and they are then talking about slowly opening other shops, after that date, no mention of hotels, not sure when your booking is for, don't cancel as when the date of your booking is coming up and they still aren’t open they will cancel, if it’s non refundable they will tell you they will cancel free of charge, that’s when you email booking.com and the hotel and demand your money back as they are breaking the law, tell them they as they are unable to give the service you paid for you are demanding a refund.

Whatever you do don’t give up, once they say they had cancelled and I asked for a refund and they said no, I sent the hotel and booking.com the same email every morning. They are hoping you give up, if they still don’t give you a refund tell them you will putting a review on their site, they really won’t want you to do that.

I will let you know if they open any hotel but how can they if everyone is in lockdown and can’t even leave their areas

Love the Quaranine 3000. I'd never leave it except to cook.

We are looking for new furniture for the living room for when Bob retires...
