OK.. Note to self.. Peel off masks peel off eyebrows too! Lol

Yup I drink that much water. I have one glass of milk and one cup of caffeine in the day, the rest is water. Pop only happens if I am out some where and is usually iced tea. Oh and I have about 20 types of tea. Some have caffeine and many don't. I need SOME excitement in my life!!! Lol

Looking all over my place for fabric!!! It can get very dusty under my sewing machine! Those dust bunnies would be so lovely if they were CHOCOLATE!!

Sharon, I have t been in our car for a month, Steve has been around the block once, when we painted the wall on the drive he moved it on to the road so he didn’t get paint splashes on it, our road is very narrow so he had to do a circuit to get back on the drive, I will have forgot how to drive!

I’m worried when they say we can go out that everywhere will be so crowded in the shops I won’t want to go shopping! It will be a long time before I would feel confident to eat out that’s for certain.

I must admit I only drink lots of water in summer when it hot,.

Rofl...Jan that hairdresser one is hilarious. We need some fun right now.

We haven’t driven DH’s new car for weeks. I don’t know why he bought it lol. I’ve only had mine out once in 2 weeks. Jan I won’t want to go out and mix with crowds either when this is over. Good to hear that you may only have 2 more weeks to go.

Sharon, I would be peeing all the time too. I don’t drink enough water. I’m so bad and DH is always telling me to hydrate lol. I do drink a lot of gin and tonic and wine right now.

Happy day. Time to watch a show.

I will have to have a Steve cut, he shaves his beard with the trimmer and goes over his head, LOL.its times like this when I wish I had longer hair, mine soon goes into a mess and then thick on the top, I have to cut my fringe when we are away anyway, or are they called bangs now days, Our GS likes the peaky blinders look, .

Our son and DIL send all clothes that the boys have outgrown over with us for our youngest GS, they sent a leather flying Jacket over about a year ago, yesterday he was modelling it, posing like a rock star, talk about taking after his Dad, a poser!

The funnies are good! LOL
I don’t know where everyone fins them, but glad you all share.
DH has left and driven my car, to go over to the ice cream store near us, that has a small grocery section, for milk, bread, eggs, etc. and of course ice cream. My meds will be delivered today. Our excitement for the day. We talked to Our son yesterday. He is not driving into town. He is doing laundry in the sink, be cause he usually goes to the laundromat, but it is closed anyway. Since he hikes so much, he is used to doing laundry like this. LOL he says he has enough of everything for three weeks. There is a farmers market garden, that delivers. But his wife is in NYC!, working from home. Her sis in law is an infectious disease dr. And treats virus patients, so lives at the hospital and can’t go home to her DH and two babies. It is the worst place in the world! I a thankful or son, at least is not there!
I talk too much! I better get to doing something constructive!

Katelyn on Team Simplify had a great idea to create a beautiful (and free!) 30 day Gratitude Journal just for you.

Grab your free Gratitude Journal right here.

You can easily fill out this PDF digitally or print it out at home to use during this difficult season. Use your Gratitude Journal first thing in the morning or before you go to bed. (Or both!) Practicing gratitude helps you prepare for the day ahead or reflect on the day you just experienced.

I hope this journal helps you remember to be grateful each day and find light during this challenging time.

OK.. So.. Yup my place is trashed! Yup! I have been looking for stuff to make a mask. I found my old cutting board under my computer. I found an old cutter at the top of the closet behind a ton of stuff. Some fabric under a ton of stuff in another closet. I made one mask and enough sweat to fill the bathtub.

I need to rest and eat before trying another one. I don't have any elastic.

through blood sweat and much cursing I have 2 masks. Only enough elastic for one so I used bias tape for the second.

and this is what I had to get through to find my scissors!!!

Yes Kathy, she bought it all before we could get to the store!
Nice colourfull masks Lynn. I pulled out some black and white fabric for mine, but haven't taken the sewing machine out yet. My daughter brought me yogurt and oranges today, so I don't have to go out for awhile. Oh yes, she snuck in a bag of dark Lindor chocolates too.

The only bunnies I am seeing are dust bunnies. My allergies are going crazy.

In my defense!!!! There are paper towels there too. I have space to store things so grumpy brought it all here.. And we know my gut doesn't like me most days!!!

I have started 2 masks for grumpy. The fabric looks like moss. I have till tomorrow afternoon to finish.

So I used the pattern. After I had sewn around but before I turned it inside out I used pinking shears so the seams would not be too thick.

Good job on the masks Lynn. Wow that’s a lot of TP..lol. I hope you have food too lol.

I’m doing an online colouring class later...it’s free and was recommended by Susie so I thought I may learn something. It’s at Kit and Clowder if anyone is interested. Free digis too.

Happy Easter Sunday. Time for choccies..yay

No Easter chocolates here, they have started to sell some here but they are expensive ,not a Spanish thing and we can’t get to the English shop, they only sell the baked ring with coloured hard boiled eggs in side! Very pretty but not chocolate.

Wish I'd known that, Jan. I'd have sent you some. America, as you probably know, has an abundance of chocolate.

I made a woven basket made from bread one year for a county fair. Each year there was a different theme and in the bread department they had a specialty category for 'shaped' bread. Everyone one else in the category made the braided ring. I did the basket.

I think some people were glad to see me move as I won 1st every year lol
One year I made an alligator.

Good morning, Sharon.

That wouldn't have been a Braums where he went for ice cream, would it?
We hit braums just about every time we go to Springfield. They have the best STrawberry milkshakes.

Hi Kelly,
We can get chocolate just not Easter eggs, I looked on Amazon to send the GSs one each , they were three times the price of the shops in England, I don’t like being ripped off, I’ve told our son to give them some money instead, we always leave money in his safe for birthdays etc, he says it’s the same notes going between us as sometimes he owes us money for something and then he pays for something and takes it out again.

I can’t make bread, I think I don’t have patience, our DIL made hot cross buns with the boys, she said she didn’t have all the spices so she soaked a spiced tea bag in apple juice, she said it was a long job! All that leaving to rise etc.

Blessed Easter!

I know today will be much different for most people. For me, nope. I spend a good portion of holidays and special days here by myself. Not a big deal. goodness knows there's plenty to keep my busy.

I hope in all the chaos, my friends can find peace and joy today.

I've been baking bread since about the age of 11 or 12. Not such a bad thing. let the dough rise once, shape your loaves/ rolls/ and let rise again. Second rise is only about 30 minutes. So worth the time. I have found a really easy recipe on Pinterest that I use if Steve wants to give it a go.. Just PM me

Happy Easter.. Watching Easter mass on TV and I have never seen a basilica so empty!!

Hey Kelly how isolated are you? I am in the north part of town but it is very high density. 13 floors and 9 units per floor a mix of 1,2 or 3 bedrooms.

I have not made bread since going gluten free. Actually I rarely eat bread now since I hate the taste of gr bread.

Lynn you are making me hungry. I agree with Kelly. You do find the coolest stuff. I would raid your tp but we managed to get a pack last week lol.

My mum always made her own bread and I really want to have a go at making some even though I rarely eat bread...unless it’s got dollops of butter on it lol.

I slept in today...gosh I was tired. Did my exercise indoors as DH pulled something behind his knee yesterday whilst exercising with me..doh! Now I shall have to walk on my own and with my music lol. I have an art class later with DGD. She’s the teacher lol. Not sure what we are making. Today is going to be just fun, fun, fun.

I’m testing a phone call with Jan this week and so we can get all our pommie (English) chat out of the way. Anyone up for a chat later this week and after this.....all of us?

Keep safe and well.

Hi Jayne! Hope you have a fun day! It sounds great especially with the art lesson with DGD. Can't wait to see what you create!
I love to be in on a chat!

Lynn, yum hamburger and fries. I'd need a chocolate malt too!

There are some good gluten free recipes out there. Give one a try!

I live in the poorest county in the state of MO. I am 5 miles from the nearest town in either direction. Each under 700 people.
In true redneck fashion, directions to my house include 'turn off the paved road'. LOL I live on a logging road on 26 acres of timber, most of which is part of the Mark Twain National Forest. Nearest neighbor is 1/4 mile in either direction. I can't see either of them even from the end of my driveway.

when we were property searching, realtors kept telling me I would not find everything we wanted in a price we were willing to pay.

HAHAHA! I found one with more land than we'd expected (we were looking for around 1 for about $20,000 less than our highest price point.

Greedy realtors were just sure they could show us the perfect house in THEIR price point lol

Back to work for me today. wind chill is in the 20s Brrrrr. Not supposed to warm up much today so I don't know if I'll take the sheets off the flower buds or not. I covered the clemitis up last night due to freeze warnings.. not frost - FREEZE! Was 30*F when I got up at 6:30.

I cut my one lonely lilac sprig last night, the last of the purple tulips and a sprig of the flowering almond bush. Brought them in and put them in a vase. Need to give them some sun this morning.

I have flowr pics of my Amarylis I'll post later if I remember.

Hi Kelly! To answer a question way back, yes, it was Braums ice cream. They are less than a mile from here. I could walk, but have to cross a busy street. Anyway, DH got eggs at 4 x what we usually pay, but bread, and other items were comparable to what we usually pay. And it was worth it, as he was only customer! He did go early. And the ice cream is great!

Hi Jayne! Yes, a call! I am in. Just tell me what kind, and what time. Kelly, you going to do it? Ina? Lynn? Jan? Gracie?

Lynn, I am now signed up and getting emails already from something you linked us to! LOL
I will check in again to see what is going on.
Here is a heritage page I did over the weekend.
