Thanks for the good chuckle this morning Jan! I read it to my hubby and he laughed too. But, seriously, there are 22,539 rice krispies in a box!

Gracie I’m pleased it made you chuckle, e have to laugh in these trying times, maybe you should count them if you get bored but I’d be very surprised if there’s anywhere near that many, I’ve been complaining to Steve because our cereals seems to get less and less in the boxes!

Jan, that's so true...we get less product at more cost for us! My hubby hates cereal, so he cooks breakfast for us every day. Lucky me. Since he started cooking when he retired 6 years ago, I've gained 15 pounds! LOL

Steve is the cook here too, when I went out to work full time he decided died to would rather cook than clean, now he’s an amazing cook, I’m quite spoilt! Since we retired he still cooks, I clean and we share all the other jobs.

Oops, I think Lynn is counting fruit loops, not rice crispies or cornflakes.

I think fruit loops would be easier to count! Too many rice krispies and the corn flakes might break into more pieces!

We have one for August already booked but I can cancel if I need to free of charge so they can take a hike.
The ferries are now saying they are only taking freight and even mid April onwards need to change their bookings!
Jan, if that hotel is part of a chain, I'd send an email to their corporate office. Not something you have any control over.

here in the US, if we find price gouging or things like the hotel issue we're to send the info to the Attorney General. I don't know if you have somethinc comperable there.

Hi girls

checking in on everyone. We are okay here. bob got home on Wednesday. We doubt the shut down will affect him. He's home for another 2.5 weeks unless we hear otherwise.

We've not been shut down here in the sticks yet. A lot of chain stores have closed, fast foods are carry out/ drive-through only. Applebees was open yesterday when I went into town and so was the China Buffet. I guess they figure as long as their attendance is low but they can still make money, they'll stay open. I know in the buffet I was 1 of 3 tables and the staff was keeping everything wiped down.

I still havent' changed my totals. I did make 2 cards today. I also made up a couple more paint mists and worked on the big window envelopes for my junk journal with Pink Odd Bird. That video is ready for me to upload in the wee hours of the morning.

Happy Monday. How you all doing today? Jan, we have just watched the latest news on Spain. Please keep safe.

All our pubs, clubs, gyms, churches, restaurants, cafes and licences premises including our golf clubhouse closed from noon today. I did our weekly shop and people still aren’t practicing social distancing. I took my wipes I use in my craft room but I managed to buy one pack. Loo roll comes in tonight apparently. I won’t be going to get some. We can manage until next week. At least some panic buying had slowed down. Still no meat other than at the butchers now and not much chicken. Plenty of fish so guess what we are having for dinner this week lol.

DIL1 managed to get me a jigsaw puzzle but I don’t have time to fit it in right now. We woke up today and said how can it be Monday again and I still have a list of things I’d like to do.

Keep well and safe everyone. Hugs

Kelly, it’s not a chain as far as I know but we booked through Booking.com!! They have sending me round in circles so I’m just leaving it as they will charge us if we cancel, hopefully once all hotels close tomorrow we might hear something but I’m not holding my breathe

Steve just read online that all the cases in Spain have been proved to have been caused by people coming back from China and Italy. We haven’t got many around here but a Nun has died in the next big town to us.

I thanked the girl on the fish counter for working to help us all, they are being so helpful, what would we do without them all.

Apparently it’s going to spike here over this week so we are going nowhere, steve has heard that he can go to our medical centre for his blood tests, he has to go every five weeks, they are only open for sintrom tests, (blood thinners) and cancer patients, steve isn’t sure if he should risk going next week, his levels have been stable for over two years so he might wait for a couple of weeks,

Jan, I would stay home If you can. We are cancelling all our health check appointments for 6 months or more. Could Steve manage for a while without his checkup? Are you able to phone and speak with the Dr?

The worst thing today for me was having to go to the supermarket and in future I shall go during the seniors hour and be first in and get out. We need fresh items every 7-10 days. I could ask the kids but none of them live close and I don’t want to put them at more risk than is necessary. Our DIL1 is on her own whilst son1 works away and she has been stocking up so she doesn’t need to go out. She also went when the store first opened so she didn’t have to expose herself or the poppets too much. Fortunately stocks are starting to come back in.
I am remaining positive and we will get through this.

I rang my sister and BIL in the UK and they are now in lockdown. He is going stir crazy after 3 days already. He likes to keep busy and has no hobbies. My brother is working from home and my niece (his daughter) went into labour today. We are all having to adjust and work through this. It’s not going to go away in a few weeks even if we all went into lockdown. We will do what we can to help that curve flatten.  Take care. Hugs

Jayne, Steve can wait for a few weeks or more, when we go away, sometimes for three months he doesn't have a check, he should! but his levels have remain constant for two years, even after he had to stop his blood thinners for his skin cancer op last year they went back to a good level within a week.

I go first thing to shop, Saturday no one was waiting so I went straight in, only 40 allowed so it's quite empty, I must say I felt worried, that's not like me, I was pleased to get home and I've just told Steve I'm not collecting the mail either.

I will have to go out next week as Steve's meds are due and I don't want him to go, we can't miss getting them so I will go early and get in line.

I keep putting that Olbas oil on a tissue as I've just been to take the trash to the communal bin, never saw a soul but I started sneezing, Steve says it's my new perfume, it's usually bleach but now it's mixed with Olbas Oil, Ha,Ha.

I feel like I accomplished something! I went through all the stickers I can use for my planner. I found 3 pocket size note books. I pulled out card stock I won't use! Yup and I donated it all to the twins + their cousin. I hope they can have fun.

It’s raining still and it’s been so bad during the night that the pool is right to the top so Steve will have to go out and empty some away before it overflows, I can’t believe this weather, we never usually have rain for so long!

Lynn if you have any fruit loops left you could start making jewellery!
After steve had his bypass if they gave him fruit loops for breakfast the smell would make him feel sick.

Lynn, you are doing a wonderful thing for both yourself and the neighbour twins. They will love all those supplies. I am in the process of putting together two boxes of paper crafting supplies for my grand cildren. Papers, stamps, some inks, as well asother trinkets, etc.

I’m hoping to do the children’s VSN challenge worth our poppets using FaceTime. I just wish I knew what the shopping list was for it so I could let my DIL know or get some supplies to them.

How is everyone today? It gets crazier by the hour here. More restrictions but all because of people who don’t do the right thing when they return to Australia and younger people who think they are invincible. We just shake our head when we hear our PM pleading with people. Now we are hoping they don’t close our beaches and parks because of these people.

Today we did our Monday chores as we didn’t feel like doing them yesterday. We walked earlier and around the streets as the beach path had way too many young people on there and it was hard to distance ourselves. I’ve just got the jigsaw set up so we can add pieces as and when we feel like it although hubby isn’t into jigsaws. I am. I also received a tickle from Canada which was a nice surprise.

I didn’t get to my craft room and my new goodies are sitting on the table waiting to be put away. Time just seems to get away from us at present although sleeping in today didn’t help.  We’ve been so tired lately and that’s because we wake during the night to go to the loo, or because we can’t sleep and listen to the news.

I hope everyone is keeping safe and well.

Don't listen to/watch the news! Just twice a day max. We have better things to do than worry

You're invited to tonight's Your Way Workshop, a 60-minute exploration of this month's theme: Decluttering. Here's the discussion questions we'll cover in our small groups:
  • Do you find it harder to manage clutter in your creative life or in your home life?
  • What category of item do you most need to declutter? What makes that category especially tricky or challenging?
  • What strategies are you aware of or have you tried to make decluttering easier or more fun?
  • What are some behaviors you might want to try in order to reduce future clutter from accumulating?

The workshop starts at 8 p.m. central time. . Here's what you need to know about participating:

1. The workshop takes place on Zoom, a video conferencing platform. You'll need to use a computer with a webcam and microphone or your phone (more on that below) to participate.

2. If you are participating from a computer, simply follow this link to join us on Zoom. If you've never used Zoom before, follow the on-screen instructions to install the software. You can get set up any time before the event by clicking the above link.

If you have any trouble, you can go to https://zoom.us/join and enter the meeting ID: 769428200. Also, here's a video tutorial on joining a meeting.

3. If you are participating from a tablet or phone, please install the Zoom app. It is available for iOS and Android devices. Then, follow this link to join us or enter the meeting ID manually: 769428200.

4. We're all nervous, awkward, and more introverted than not. You will fit right in and the experience will be worth it. Zoom is a magical tool for accessing brilliant ideas and truly feeling connected to a community.

5. Most of the event will NOT be recorded. Due to the unique, interactive nature of this experience, we will only be recording the wrap-up conversation during the last 20 minutes of the event.

Tonight is the night to step out of your comfort zone and see what's possible. I hope to see you there!

I am posting the relevant info from newsletters I am getting. Hoping to give everyone a variety of things to try!

My world today expanded. I stepped away from the fruit loops as Kathy suggested! Lol I took my car to a drive thru bank but I think I am too short, but I did use my gloves for all the buttons. I took my car for a car wash since it was sitting there for months. Betty, my car, is much happier now that I can see through the windows! Lol

Big huge sanitized hugs

It’s still raining, since Saturday we’ve only had about an hour of sun, we’ve been out in the rain three times to sweep the water on to the front garden, it’s like a lake, it was supposed to have stopped three hours ago but it’s still pouring.
Didn’t get to my craft room ! It’s supposed to be dryish tomorrow so I will have to wash all the towels as the conservatory leaked as the rain was too much for the window runners.

I had a chat with our son and Grandson who tells me he is making me a character in the Dungeons and Dragons game for when we go over!!! our eldest used to play it for hours when he was about fourteen! He was telling me how every morning at 9am the class links up on a video link with their headmaster and teachers for an hour and they have a spread sheet of the work they need to complete every day.

I’m not worried now Ina but we listen to our PM every day so we are informed and to what is happening as every day there are more restrictions.

I’m shocked that a friend posts on FB telling us we all have to self isolate and then she goes to her hairdressers and sits there for hours as our PM has brought in restrictions saying only 30 mins at the hairdressers. Do people really care if their hair grows or loses its colour. It’s the last thing I think about these days. I think about how I will spend my day productively.

Keep well and safe.

I am a poo poo head! The zoom was yesterday! I am so sorry!

Last night's Your Way Workshop was a much-needed escape into something we do have control over: our creative clutter.

Participants were asked to discuss a series of questions in small grounds and then report back on the lessons learned. As always, our recordings are of that final wrap-up conversation.

Watch the Your Way Workshop: Decluttering replay.

They had comments online about how we will all know what colour hair every one really has after this! So true

Jayne, brittany ferries are giving us a refund on one sailing as we now have three! We will only need two later in the year, hopefully but they said if anything happens we can transfer both remaining sailings until next year, that’s really good of them.

Booking.com have said that they are in contact with the hotel and have asked them under the circumstances to refund our money, I said Thank you but I’m not holding my breath!

Maybe nearer the time you might have more luck if this carries on, hopefully not but I’m not sure I would be confident to travel yet!

Glad you are getting things sorted out Jan. I’ve given up on ours for now. DH and I sat and had a good chat this arvo and have come up with a plan on how we can mix our day around as we both seem to be online too much. I’m looking forward to doing some different things. I also need to stop snacking and drinking lol. Our liquor stores are now running out of stocks and stores have put a ban on how much each customer can buy now.

We’ve just watched a programme where tests were deliberately carried out on the cruise ship that had the virus outbreak in Japan. Guess how long the virus was still on surfaces after every passenger had disembarked?......17 days!! Can you imagine if this is the same on planes. No wonder everyone is bringing it in after travel. We have 2 cruise ships wanting to come into our Port and who have sick passengers. It’s a moral dilemma now and our health authorities are testing people. We don’t have enough tests or beds for our State but we can’t just let these people float around. There’s aussies and people from all around the world on board.
