just finished brunch. Soon as the sweats load is ready for the clothes line I'll get started. I have multiple projects to work on today. A couple need to be finished and uploaded by end of day.

We had lunch at Boudins on Fishermans wharf yesterday, a shrimp sandwich, delicious.

I prefer glitter guru too...LOL. My SCS name has changed about 4 times in the past year. Sharon I know I'm a fool... but not a stamping fool as I don't stamp too much....LOL...maybe stick a lot...haha. I notice that some ladies don't have names and they must just give them to newbies. I guess someone thought what a crazy lady I am with my detailed descriptions on my posts....LOL. Certainly our kids say I'm crazy

Jan, a bright red Mustang...awesome. One of our friends collects cars and has a pale green Mustang. Your holiday sounds wonderful. We went into our city last week and had a Philly cheesesteak as they had all the street markets there. Reminded us of our trip to Philly a couple of years ago. It wasn't bad either...the cheesesteak. Mmmmm...shrimps...another of my favourite foods. Anything to do with seafood and I'm there Make the most of your trip and so hope you and your hubby can get in more time with your family.

Lynn, hope you are going ok and have new glasses.

Happy weekend everyone. Take care...time for either a nap or creating....mmmm...

Kelly, the new EF is a city silhouette. I'm still hoping to craft today. Friend is over and has been an awesome teacher for me to learn stuff about the Circut. Just getting ready to look for challenges to inspire me to make a card!

Just spend $72 at Joanns in the sale, next I need to order some more dvd cases to finish tidying my Dies and then I will start on my stamps, looks so much neater having them in cases on my shelf although I’ve still got to put names on the spines.

Oh dear, I've blown the bank again....I went to Studio Calico's site as I love their mega date stamp for my albums. With shipping I could have made the stamp myself I should have just carried on scrapping and made my own jumbo dates with my stash....oh dear. I'm hopeless I did get some free classes online though

Happy Sunday

Just been measuring our eldest GS against me, he comes up to the back of my neck already, he’s nine, son said, well you are shrinking, it’s a well known fact when you get older, Never expect compliments from sons or GSs, I was reading to Charlie the other night and he said Nan, you look old with your glasses on! Cheered me up no end!

Jan your comment reminds me of last Saturday when our poppets were showering after their swimming lessons and I said not to stand in the water too long or their skin would get waterlogged and wrinkly. Our poppet GD who is about to turn 5 says "like yours Nannie". What can you say to that...LOL

Studio Calico sells stamps but is more for project life and scrapping. I also like Dusty Attic which is a local company that sells amazing chipboards for scrapping. Have you checked out Catherine Pooler? She brings out a quarterly stamp box that I find is cheaper to order and have shipped here than to buy similar separately locally. She does amazing inks too. I also order from Amazon and used to also order from Hero Arts and Simon Says Stamps but I'm a good girl now...LOL . I try and not watch too many videos as once they highly recommend something, I'm shopping online.

Happy day everyone.

Default S2S18G Year of the dog

Good morning everyone. For a change, it is nice and sunny here. Plans to visit my DD in Toronto today, but she and my two grandsons have strep throats. A good day to get my laundry done. Now for the challenge. It will be Chinese New Year this week, and this is the year of the dog. Coincidentally, i was also born in a year of the dog. So, lets feature dogs on a card this week. My apologies to all you cat lovers. I am still working on a sample. Have fun creating.

Love this challenge Ina, I have some great dog stamps I must pull out, some haven't felt ink in a while.

In the mean time, I wanted to share this. I finished sewing donuts for the kiddos. I created a menu to send with them. Not sure of the best catagory but it is stamping!

So our son has bought a crockpot, a ten dollar deal on Amazon! So Steve is showing him how to use it for when DIL is away, so far they’ve made Chilli, leg of lamb which was gorgeous, I’ve made two pasties to freeze with the leftover lamb, apparently the next meal is curry.

Well I didn't scrap even though I have all of my photos laid out and sketches to follow . I had seen the Try a New Technique challenge and this one and decided to play with my stash..... I ended up making 3 panels so I've knocked a little off my very red balance

Here's a panel I created for this week's challenge. TFL and happy day

Just been out for a walk and just had to have a BLT at the bakery, then we bought back danish lemon curd pastries for the boys, called at Michaels on the way back to get a birthday sticker for sons birthday card on Sunday, only spent $4:68 and that was two giant bubble makers for GSS and a book for youngest GS, didn’t have many birthday stickers and none for sons, I was tempted by a few things but didn’t buy them in the end.

Hi Joyce Ann, I'm going good but still not crafting. Hubby is being bossy and saying I can wait another couple of days and to read my book . I've just asked him if he could bring my craft tray downstairs and some card panels and I could create some Bgs but he's not listening....doh! I shall watch videos and get some inspiration and make notes in my journal ready for when I can craft . Thinking of you.

Lynn, hope you are ok...missing your posts. Take care.

Jan, love reading your daily news. I would have kept the box too and cut it up for my projects or put something in it lol.

It's a sunny day here. Not a lot happening this end. Hubby has had a migraine for a few days, poor thing but is being a perfect nurse. I'm hobbling around but mainly just lying on the bed or couch with an ice pack on my knee. Not seeing the grandies this weekend and missing them.

Hugs and happy weekend everyone. Take care

Jayne, what happened? I think I must have missed something, sorry to hear you can’t get about, especially the crafting, Steve needs two new knees but soldiers on while he can.
I miss my crafting when I’m here, I did think I might bring some bits with me but didn’t have time to get organised with only being home for a short time, maybe next time!
Mind you I’m not likely to have much spare time for the next month, the boys are off school next week and next Wednesday DIL goes away to London, Switzerland, home for one night and then Canada, altogether for a month so it will be quite hectic but that’s why we came back so quickly.

I got my puppy dong card! I don't know why I just adore this dog stamp, I rarely use it because it is so small, I think. Do you think this would make an acceptable card for a human's birthday, or does the little dog make it odd?

Hi Jan sorry to hear about your hubby's knees. Can he not have them fixed? Some people at our golf club have had theirs done and are like new.

Mine was just a minor op...I tore my meniscus in November and didn't find out until last month. Walking, kneeling and sitting was a little difficult. I did it in body balance class Think I'm still 20...lol. It's all good.

Here's how it looked after the op 3 days ago...that was one big bandage..lol, and here's it today. It's amazing what they can do. Two tiny little stitches underneath this. I just have to rest, keep it elevated and iced and I'm twitching to craft lol.

I also miss my craft when I'm travelling. I used to take a journal with me and tried keeping that up to date...sometimes it worked, others not so well. Then I bought a smash book and portable camera and that didn't work but was fun. Now I do my journaling on my iPad and when I get home I load all the thousands of photos on the pc, dump the bag of memorabilia in my craft room and that's as far as it gets, but this year I'm committed to scrapping some of our trips...lol

You sound as though you are going to be busy. Wow your DIL has a busy travel schedule coming up. Enjoy the poppets.

Happy Sunday everyone.

I still had some dog stamps sitting out from yesterday when this morning I spotted a Snoopy card in the Featured Stamper gallery so I made another doggie card.

Jayne I hope you will soon be mobile again, and crafting.

Steve will eventually have new knees but they’ve told him to carry on while he can and he’s so much better in Spain with the warmth, in England he struggles if it’s damp.

I always take plenty of photos and when I get home download them to my PC so I can scrap them, I’m new to scrapping but have been encouraged by Sharon with the scraplift and all the ladies on here who scraplift too, our son made me laugh as I asked him to send me the photos from the other night as I needed them for my scrapbook, he said leave me your villa and let my brother have the scrapbooks in your will, charming son.

We had a lovely evening on Friday, We went for Chinese food, then drove into the city, had coffee at a diner, our son had a hot fudge sundae which was massive, he couldn’t finish it due to his diet, ha,ha, we then watched a musical at a small theatre about older people not understanding technology, it was a comedy and very good, one of the ladies singing works with out son and has sung the national anthem at a famous sports event.
