I am paying myself $20 for this card...cause I had to rearrange my room... I had to learn to create a frame in cricut.. I had to McGyver this FIRST shaker card... AND it is in pink cause a friend likes the colour...don't know why!

All that made me smile! All you had to do to make the card and it was PINK to boot.

I'm with you and think I'm definitely not paying myself enough. My nephew came to visit last year and took one look at my craft room and when I sent him a card I had made, he said that it must have cost me at least $200 and I needed to increase my production to get some efficiencies happening LOL.

If I take into account how much time I'm on this site, You tube, Pintrest and other sites for ideas and how long it takes me to make a card or scrap a page, I think I'd definitely be in the black to go shopping

Happy day

Cool day today, 8c, that’s cool for Spain, finished a card I made a few years ago, didn’t like it much and didn’t know how to finish it off but I realised I need a card for my friend for March so I added a sentiment on the front! Not the best I’ve ever made but.... Well that’s one unfinished card used so I’m quite pleased.

Happy Sunday everyone. Here's my cards for the Looking Back Challenge. I made 10 but one had to be thrown away...maybe I need to rescue it....!

This first card is for SCS17X challenge, Summer Sports, Post #1495. I chose golf simply as I needed a card depicting golf on it for a friend of ours

Saving, Using & Spreading Happiness by Ozpom - at Splitcoaststampers

The rest of the cards are for S2S17PP Challenge - 3 Layers, Post #2134...I think mine qualify..hope so.

Saving, Using & Spreading Happiness by Ozpom - at Splitcoaststampers
Saving, Using & Spreading Happiness by Ozpom - at Splitcoaststampers

I'm using Sharon's formula and paying myself:
$3.50/card
$5.00/one page LO
Not worked out pockets yet...or complicated albums...watch this space.
I also didn't pay myself for loading and have decided to use $2.00/post as it does take me time, although after reading FMCrafter's post (I really must get your name LOL), and relating to it, I may have to rethink my charges

Thank you for the challenges and I'm happy to say I haven't bought a thing yet this year LOL. I did get hubby to order me the CP SOA box...that doesn't count though does it...he did pay for it...LOL?

It's very hot here today and I'm thinking I may have preferred the weather when we were back in the UK visiting family a few weeks ago...phew...37 degrees yesterday and I think 35 today. It feels hotter but then it is our summer so I must not complain.

Hope wherever you are, you are all safe and warm. Happy creating

You know I never realised that my Dad shared a birthday with Elvis, just came to me reading your story Sharon about your grandson and the card you made! I guess Dad wasn’t an Elvis fan, he was a big fan of Shirley Bassey.

Sorry Jayne can’t comment yet as the photo is still pending.
just getting warm, been to watch football and the villa was quite cold when we arrived home as we left home at 10am for our walk and breakfast and straight on to the match and left the bathroom windows open! takes a while to warm up with the log fire until it gets going.

So I thought I would get an early start on my planting for my back 40 this year! I got an aerogarden on boxing day

I received it on Jan 2 and planted the herbs...and they are ALIVE!

so far it is ok. I have it in the 2nd bedroom which is my craproom cause everything is in here and not organized. The light stays on 14 hours I think.. so I have it on top of an organizer and it adds light to a dark room. There is a bubbler system in it so it sounds like I am in here with a fish tank.

Last week this room was 66f and I was freezing...today it is 82 f and I had to open the window. I hate having no control over the temp. it is -7c outside and feels like -13c or 14f

I'm sitting here updating my challenge planner and decided to add 'planner updates' to my credit list. $7 per hour.. mostly on Sundays. And I added a garden planner to my list yesterday.

SCS didn't like me for a little while either. I usually just check others sites to see if they are working and if they are, I know it isn't just my computer and I come back later!

Default S2S18C The bluest day'

All last week, my radio had been announcing that January 15 is known as the bluest day of the year ............blue as in dreary and depressing. I don't want anyone to be sad and depressed, so I will make it a blue day with a twist. I'm looking for blue cards (the colour blue) so this should be easy for you Sharon, but it's a double challenge! I want you to use the word 'happy' on a blue card. Just to prove that it is a sad day, I will be attending a funeral. A former neighbour of mine passed away, just one week shy of her 99th birthday. She was a very sweet lady, and I used to cross the highway with my young children to visit her, because she lived along the river, and the kids loved wading in and throwing stones in. They also loved Vera.
I actually made a sample card this week! Here is a link to my card.

Hi Lynn....at last I can put a name to a photo. Love Canada....and US ladies LOL...we've been to both. Wow, -33c...that's cold even with wind chill. Yep it's been hot here. 45 degrees in Sydney last week, 37 degrees here (we are in the West of Oz) but 26 degrees today and pouring rain I don't venture out when its too hot and sit indoors with the aircon....good excuse to scrap

On another note, I spent today on craft...only $16 but why do I feel so guilty Still in the black so not all bad

Happy day

Woke up rain although it wasn’t forecasted but went for a walk anyway with coats, first time since we’ve been home and my hiking boots thinking there would be big puddles, dry but cold on the seafront. Feel a bit like we’ve had a body blow although nothing serious really but we went to renew our travel insurance and Steve has just had a birthday and what do you know we can’t have 90 day cover! A bit of a Disaster as it’s booked, we leave in nine days, we can get a single trip for €1450, last years cost us €279, doesn’t help with Steve’s heart problems either as that is always extra and living in Spain for some reason. Had an afternoon online but nothing cheaper yet.

Wow Jan, that is a huge jump in price. Hopefully you will be able to find something a little more teasonable. Can you make your trip shorter? Or does that make any difference?

Sorry too late! Did an exfoliating mask and got most of it off my face. Still have blue fingers!

Jan I hear you! One of the reasons I don't travel much is the cost of health insurance. Because I have been tested for everything... I need to get the heavy duty insurance or they will just not pay

Not sure we could change the flights at this late stage without a massive price increase, looks like from now on it will be much shorter stays as most only offer 31 days, by the time we get there it will only mean three weeks which when you’ve paid a couple of thousand dollars to get there makes it an expensive stay, oh well I will keep looking.

Well had to bite the bullet and pay for the insurance,£1479, the lovely girls in the office spent all yesterday trying to find us a cheaper price, she even rang her boss to ask if he could do something for us, they are really lovely girls, it’s steve fault, it cost £908 extra because he is just turned 67 and with his heart problems, from now on we can only go for 50 days which seeems a long time but it takes us five days to get there and the cost of flights, ferries etc, it’s no fun getting old especially when the kids live so far away.

Did not know what chatbooks were all about ... Then I got a review in my email. Not for me since I don't do Instagram

I don’t do any of the social media, well apart from SCS, steve hates them with a passion as he thinks they are dangerous for all sorts of reasons.

As chatty as we papercrafters are.

Yeah - I think it is.

I also think it depends on your perspective and how you use SCS.

If anyone asks if I do any social media I say only SCS!

I definitely consider SCS as social media. Lots of interaction with other card makers puts it in that category. However, most of my socializing comes in the face to face form. Neighbourhood, church, friends and family. Although I use my computer a lot, I do not own a television or a cell phone. The cell phone bit really disturbs my kids, but I really do not want people to be able to contact me all the time.

Sorry to hear how expensive your travel insurance is and agree it's no fun getting older and especially when you have to travel far to see family.

I'm intrigued though....5 days to get somewhere...wow....that must be somewhere pretty remote. We thought travelling 36 hours from Oz to the UK to see family was tough.

Enjoy every moment with your family. Happy day
