Lynn...it's March and there's lots of rabbits out there...so I believe. You may also see eggs....yummy ones. Lots happens in March and a very important month. It also happens to be my hubby's birth month

Hope you find yourself soon and return back and join us. Sharon has gone MIL...not heard from her for a few days.

Just checking in....had a busy couple of days and tomorrow is going to another one. Hope to create this weekend. It's a long one....which means us and everyone else is on holiday, even though we are on permanent holiday

Enjoy yours and see you back soon.....we will won't we?

Happy Saturday everyone...head still fuzzy but improving...unfortunately my sinus affect me and it can last for days

I thought I'd confess that I have blown the budget...again...hubby took me to the craft shop a few days ago and I said I would like 4 TH Oxide inks...well I walked out with 10 ...I couldn't resist and they had just got the new ones in so I had to stop the itchy fingers picking them up ....plus 3 small Kaisercraft stamps (which were so cheap...my rationale for spending ) and which I can use on my scrapping and mixed media. Naughty I know but I have about 24...maybe 25 challenges to do so I figured if I knock them all off I can also do the same with my "in the red" balance

Have fun whatever you plan to do today...I need to rice and get my head back into place

Wow Jayne! Go you for spending?! LOLI don't count my SU because it's business but I've ordered a couple of things I needed to start my Etsy shop. Business expense again.
I've not been crafting a lot because Bob has been home. He leaves tomorrow night for 3-5 weeks. Let the crafting begin!

I only have one oxide ink and I haven’t had time to try it yet! I talked Steve into driving me to the Mall to look at the craft mags, I saw some good ones but I thought $16.99 seemed expensive especially as some were printed in the UK and cost quite a lot less.

Just spent the day at the cub scouts Pinewood Derby, DGS1 came second in his pack, he won a trophy that his dad seems to like more than he does!

We are still on Saturday, 17.59, just had crab sandwiches and fries, our son just went out to collect them, he was going to treat us to a meal out but we couldn’t be bothered to go out again.

Lots of different time zones here! Jayne in Australia, Jan currntly on the west coast, and a number of us on eastern standard time. Jan, i have hhad 6 oxide ditress inks for quite awhile, but have not really played with them enough to appreciate all the advantages. They are cool though. As for magazines, I recently discovered a UK mag called Daphnes Diary. I love it, but it costs 19 dollars here in Canada, and it is only 6 pounds in the UK.

I do not have a dollar sign on my tablet, so I rounded off the amounts. I also do no have an apostrophy. What is with that?
Guess what, I just found a whole new screen that has those on it. I've had this tablet since May and just figured out what the sym button is for. And I used to be intelligent, ha, ha!

Wow $19 for a magazine is expensive. Ours are around $10-12 but they don't seem to offer many in the newsagents these days. I used to love Scrapbook/card magazines I used to get on subscription here and all are now gone...so sad. I still have about half of them though and may have to look through them again for inspiration.

I'm intrigued by magazines and craft items from the UK, particularly on card and scrapbooking as I don't find other than HL there isn't much choice, unless I'm going to the wrong places I must check out Daphnes Diary but to ship here would make it way too expensive.

I absolutely love visiting the US and Canada and get lost in Michaels but unfortunately only bring a small envelope of stash back as we can't carry the weight. One of our boys brought me back some TH chat book stickers a couple of years ago and ones I can't get here so I was happy How I wish I could just visit and take a small suitcase with me just for the TH glass mat and some stash....LOL....I think the mat is going to be over $100 here...yikes!

Happy day

Jayne, sounds like Spain, years ago someone opened a craft shop in their villa, a friend told me about it so we went, it was 90mins drive and so expensive so I buy while I’m over here now, there are online shops that send out to Spain and some are free if you spend a certain amount but now we come over so often I don’t bother as it’s cheaper here.I would love the TH glass mat but I’m sure it weighs too much for my luggage allowance and would risk being smashed.

Ina I will look out for that craft mag in England, I’ve never heard of it.

Default S2S18J 'Faux cloisonne'

Good morning all. It certainly looks like spring is on the way, with lots of sunshine here, but it is still quite cool -7C degrees this a.m. with a brisk wind. It was a cold walk at the school this morning. Its time for a technique challenge. I think one of my favourite techniques is the faux cloisonne. You can get some awesome looks with the gold embossing over various colours. With Easter coming, you can create some cool looking eggs or crosses with this technique. My two samples are of butterflies, as I misplaced my finished eggs, but I will post them when I find them. I won't get these cards loaded to my gallery until this evening, but here they are.

Happy Tuesday everyone.....summer has decided to "spring" here and late again...36 degrees yesterday and supposedly going to be 38 today...phew. Thankfully I am planning on spending it indoors.

Strange past few days....had to do lots more RICEing as not sure what I did to my knee but its been aching and blowing up a couple of days...back to wearing my compression bandage and being good Head returned...phew!

I also locked us out of our home at dinner time yesterday....we found out later our handle was faulty and had only been replaced 6 months ago....house only 5 years old...mmmm!! So we found ourselves with no mobiles, no keys, no spare keys anywhere and fortunately one gate open so we could get out and to our friend and neighbour's home. 2 hours later a locksmith arrived...it was a public holiday, so $200 for a 15 minute job, we are back in our home...worth every dollar. Fortunately we had a porch at the front to sit under and it was a beautiful evening, and furniture out on the deck so I could RICE....and hubby had a beer out of the outdoor kitchen fridge We learnt a couple of lessons on this....spare keys and list of numbers of family/kids....how many of you know your family's numbers? We found out we only knew ours ..all of them are saved on our phones.

So today...it's going to be hot, we have lots of paperwork to do and house chores, and hopefully one day this week I will return to craft as my dining room table is looking very tidy and lonely..LOL.

Happy day everyone...sending some sunshine your way

Steve had a key cut here and the first time he used it the key broke in the lock, panic mode so we went to the hardware shop and bought some pliers and luckily there was enough sticking out to hold on to and pull it out, then when we came back this time we had the wrong key and couldn’t get in with the kids, couldn’t get mum or dad, eventually DIL rang us and gave us the number for the key code on the garage door, then Steve couldn’t figure out how to close it again as there are about three different coloured buttons, talk about stressful.

Jan, wow...you did have an adventure as Melissa says.

Melissa, no new handle or lock yet. We can lock the sliding door on the inside but if we go onto the deck we must remember to not close it fully as it automatically locks from the outside which it shouldn't do. They can't come and repair for another 10 days We have asked for the new type of handle.

Lynn, sorry to hear that your meds have made you worse. Maybe get a 2nd opinion. Take care.

Some of you may have read this on another thread so I won't go on but we had our hottest night a couple of days ago at 26 degrees. I didn't notice but boy at 37 degrees yesterday it was hot and I was indoors. Thank goodness for aircon. Today is supposed to be 32 I think and humid. We have what we call the Freo Dr...which is related to Fremantle (port here) and the Dr is the wind...when it blows it cools us down on the coast. Inland takes a little bit longer but yesterday we were asking where's the Freo Dr

Happy day everyone...I so can't wait to get back to craft. I'm taking some time out to say hi on this site and then back to my very long list of chores, not to mention challenges.....why do lists get longer?

Popping in. Bob left Sunday night so my 15 hour days will return next week. I've kind of been veging this week so far. I've done a bit of this and that around the house but nothing major. Mostly getting shows off the DirectTV DVR before it gets taken down today. I'll have to learn how to use the hopper really quick before Bob and I's shows kick in tonight. We have shows we watch together so I let them record when he's out then we binge watch them together when he's home.

Anyone has tips for Dish Network I'm all ears. I've used Direct TV for almost 12 years. Old habits are going to be hard to break. LOL

I should be able to play catch up on S2S inspirations this weekend between VSN challenges. Is anyone else playing in VSN?

Kelly, is the VSN the follow on from the mini VSN? I thought that was 24/25 March? Is there another one? I'm hoping to join in if I can.

Ina, get well..nothing worse than a bad cough. I also don't like the heat...after 35 degrees too hot for me and I stay indoors

Kathy, belated birthday greetings.

Lynn, beautiful quote. Hang in there and come back soon.

Happy Thursday everyone.

Ina, I hope you are feeling a little better, we both had coughs before we left last time and our ribs hurt so much, it was even hard to sit up so I’m wishing you a speedy recovery.

Lynn get back to us ASAP we miss you.

Jayne, our temperature goes over 40c on a hot summer and some days the humidity is awful, luckily we have a pool so we sit in the shade and swim a lot, makes you feel so tired too.

Hope everyone else is well and busy crafting, we had to take DGS1 to the doctors for a check up, apparently he is fine, I collected him from school but didn’t realise I wasn’t on the list to be allowed so they had to ring our son at work to confirm I’m allowed to take him out of school, he laughed because we drop him off and collect him from Daycare most days but I do agree they need permission even for Nans, well now we are on the list at school too.

The fog is rolling in so quite cool but not as cold as it’s been.

Kelly you scared me! I am one of the hostesses, and I thought what? This week-end? The main one is March 23and 24! Now, you can still do the three mini challenges from February. Deadline is March 22nd for those Three, before the main one starts! If you want to be in the running for the prizes, you have to do the mini ones, too. And then all of the ones in the main one, too.
Just FYI

Hello kelly and everyone else.
So sorry you are sick! I hope you, Kathy , and Lynn, all start feeling better. We have sure been blessed with good health this Winter! Praise, God!

Have a good evening everyone! I have been cleaning, just took a bubble bath and washed my hair! I feel better. Tomorrow morning making cards at church for our encouragement ministry. Another lady and I prepared at least 40 kits last .friday. So all I need to do is pack everything up and go.

Happy Friday everyone.....slow moving today.

My parcel from SC arrived this week....gosh I won't be able to order from them again as the shipping made the one item I wanted very very expensive......apart from that I was shocked at what else arrived and which I could have bought here.....let's say not what I anticipated. Shame as I like their items but some companies shipping in the US to here is more than the goods. Trying not to feel disappointed. I also need to work out how to use the item I couldn't buy here..

Enjoy your day
