Happy Wednesday everyone.

Ann, yay you have one room painted and done.  Sorry to hear that your finger is playing up.  How's your eye now?  It must feel good to finally get the room/s sorted.

I have my B card/s done and my C which I'm about to try and upload if it's come down from the cloud.  As for D...mmm...I have my DT cards to start and soon December ones and before we go away.  Gosh it comes around quickly.  As for daily challenges...I'm trying to keep on top of some but fortunately none have inspired me recently.  My mojo flew away and hopefully it's back today.  I have some thoughts milling in my head...as to transfer them into projects, well that's another thing.

On that note, I had better get off here and do what I came on to do otherwise I will find hours have gone and I've done nothing but chat LOL.

Waving and hi to everyone....have fun.  Sorry if I miss the chat...I have read it all but I forget who has said what and lose myself on here....hugs

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SHARON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope you have a wonderful day!!

Jayne, so glad to hear you got your mojo back!!  Keep going!!

My finger is still tingling and full of fluid!  Oh remembering those days of pipping decorations on cakes all night!  Ouch!!

Yes, my two sons took over finishing the room.  The constant griping of the roller is what did me in!

My eye is still 1/4 red, but it is healing!  Stress probably did it! Oh well to better days ahead!

Linda, so happy to hear that you and Dr. Sonja are having fun together!

Catherine, I was wondering what you were able to hook up to the generator.  I have always wanted one too for emergencies!  Doesn't happen that often but when it does, she wish we had one!

Got to move it move it today!  Cards to get out, still cleaning the room where we painted and moving items around, and of course laundry to do!

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning! First things first: Happy birthday, Sharon! I hope you have wonderful celebration plans today. I mailed your card but you probably don't have it yet.

Uh-oh, today is the letter D and I haven't done my C card yet! Grading papers, moving wood, household things, etc. are keeping me busy! I'm finally feeling like tackling the garage too - that will take forever.

Yay, Jayne, so glad you got your mojo back.

Ann, glad your eye is healing. Ouch to the finger though.

Thank you for Happy Birthday wishes and cards and goodies!  I had a great time opening the cards and getting goodies, too!  And sounds like I will have some more happy mail too!  . Not too bad turning 75. LOL

Both kids called , sis called and text from one of the grandsons.  Had messages on several different social media’s, and phone calls from friends.  Yep, it was a great day!
Good evening everyone.

I'm tired and have some sore muscles.  Yesterday DH wanted to clean out some gutters, so I had to hold the ladder for him.  And then he decided that today we needed to cut some limbs from a couple of trees that were scraping against the house, so again I had to hold the ladder, but I also was dragging branches away.  Then we decided to finish putting together a compost bin, which we bought years ago.  I had put together the bins, but I think it had started to get hot or dark or something or maybe the mosquitos were coming out -- don't really remember, but I quit and intended to finish it in the next couple of days... didn't happen, so it's been sitting half put together in the garage for years.  I'm obviously a very accomplished procrastinator!  So today, together we finished putting it together.  As it turns out, there are parts that I would not have been strong enough to do.  I am so thankful to have it finished.  So my next project is to rake leaves and fill it up.  Tomorrow... hopefully.

Wow, Melody, you are sounding like Jan! And no wonder you have sore muscles! As far as being a very accomplished procrastinator, you are my people! How great to have that off your project list, though.

I have a crazy quilt top that my great aunt was making and didn't get completed. She had it in strips and had numbered them. I sewed the strips together but didn't get any further. I really need to finish it or give it to someone who would like to finish it.

I'm glad you had a good day, Sharon!

How are you doing, Shirl?

DD2 and I are enjoying some mint tea while we re-watch a TV show that we've already seen.

Catherine, I have too many quilts in progress.  Several tops completed, but not put together with backing and batting.  I either tie them or hand quilt.  I don't like machine quilting.  I have 2 twin quilts - scrap quilts of dresden plate and hand applique floral borders.  The borders are partially completed and not attached.  If I remember correctly, the main part of both quilts are quilted except for right around the edges.  Should!!! get those done.  Procrastinating...

Sharon sounds like you had a lovely day,

Melody we find that we ache when we do work nowadays, never used to but old age creeps up on us all.

We are waiting for some edging tiled to arrive, they said they would arrive yesterday so I nipped in to check, no lorry was the answer, friday! Not holding my breathe, trouble is we can’t complete the job without them!
Two weeks wait before they can come and put a roof on the BBQ , Antonio came around, just as we were having dinner last night of course to explain what he will do, steve now has to chip a  tile off that covers a pipe so they can join them up so the water will go straight onto the road!

Happy Thursday everyone...Melody you made me laugh at being an accomplished procrastinator...I thought I was the only one LOL.  I have lots of unfinished projects...mainly craft ones and small jobs around the home.  Gosh I think anyone would have sore muscles after doing all of that work.  I'm exhausted LOL.

Sharon, glad that you had a nice birthday.  75..no way.

Catherine, what show are you watching?  One to recommend?

Jan, more work for you and Steve.  Hope you get it all fixed and soon.

I've just posted my first WTUI challenge..phew...I was so nervous but all done.  Hope that some of you come and play.

Now I have to get back to my DT cards and I can post my alpha B cards...just remembered LOL.

Have fun everyone

You all are working too hard!  Melody, I am the world’s biggest procrastinator!
When we moved, and supposedly downsized,
I did get rid of some unfinished projects, but I think I kept one smaller unfinished Noah’s ark quilt!  It was for the first grandchild. I hope to get it done for his first!  Luckily, he doesn’t even have a girlfriend yet and he is 22!  Everyone else in the family has a quilt handmade and hand quilted by me.  I didn’t have one, but when mom passed, I got the one I did for her.

Hi Jayne!  How are you doing?  When is your next appointment?  Didn’t you say near the end of the month?

Rained and iced all night last night, 34 degrees this morning.  But it is suppose to warm up and next week be in the 60s and 70s!  I can’t wait!  I wasn’t ready for Winter!

Good morning, everyone.  I’m caught up on this page but way behind on the back pages.

Sharon, happy birthday!  I haven’t mailed you a card yet, talk about procrastinating!

Today I mail the safari journal to my daughter-in-law.  I sure hope she likes it.  I’ve gone through it several times to double-check there’s nothing I want to change.  Now I start on my DD2’s wildflower journal, and I want to make a butterfly/fairy one for my stepsister, and then I have a bookworm one to make for me.  Hopefully I’ll be done by Christmas!

I’m not even sure I’ll get to our challenges until all those are done. But then I’ll have fun catching up!

We’ve not had snow yet, we have dipped into the 30s, brrrrrr, but I loved snuggling under my blankets.  Dusty had a bad bout of vomiting and diarrhea for four days and so I’ve had lots of blankets and towels to wash, and we have to rent a carpet cleaner machine for the living room.  Poor girl, she was exhausted from it all, but I’m glad to post she’s all better now.

How are your Halloween predictions?  We bought candy, and I sealed two pieces each in small ziplock bags, but even the news people are saying they have no idea how many parents will actually allow their children out this very strange year.  I have 45 little bags ready.  I asked DH to please buy candy we won’t eat, and he deliberately bought Snickers and Milky Ways!  I love those things!  (So does he, which is why he bought them.). I have them hidden now so he won’t get into them, lol.

Have a wonderful day, everyone.

Jayne, you are a great Hostess for this week’s WTUI challenge!  I have that skeleton stamp set I recently bought.  Maybe I can get it out and get a card made in honor of your first time hosting!

Hey Kandie is back, you really have been busy with your journals, they sound beautiful.

Well steve started chipping off the tiles to get to the pipe,  an hour later he had to give in as the builder had put concrete around it, he drilled, hammered it, angle ground it, wouldn’t budge, and he can’t kneel so he’s laid on his stomach squeezing past a post, in the end he rang our neighbour to see if he had a hammer drill, he did and he kindly did it for steve! Cit the pipe too, Bev will tell him off as he was in his best shorts and top as he was having a day off!!

So we are in a mini lockdown for two weeks, didn’t see that coming, we aren’t allowed out of our area so we can’t go the next town, obviously Sunday is November 1st when they all visit the family graves etc and so they are stopping all travel, thank goodness as it’s usually very busy.
People can go to the airport and travel through regions if say we were going to catch the ferry in the north, provided you have documentation.

I had an email from my SIL in England, she sounded pretty depressed as they are in lockdown again, my nephew is recovering from the virus but hasn’t been ill but had the test as he’d been in contact with someone who tested positive.  Steve’s brother died six years ago so she’s on her own , I’m surprised she didn’t stay with her sister who is on her own too. I really feel for her!
She was going to see the northern lights in Norway but it’s just been cancelled

I made a card for a challenge that comes up in a few weeks time, I found a piece I’d started and just added things to it, so only another fifty or so pieces to use up LOL

Good Morning ladies!

Melody, I was exhausted just reading about you did! I think we're not really procrastinators, but overachievers who don't have enough time in each day to get every done! That's my story and I'm sticking to it (as a fellow procrastinator.)

Sharon, so happy you had a wonderful birthday. I would have never in a million years guessed you were 75! I always think of you as our Alpha beauty queen!

Catherine, how goes the grading of papers? Before you know it, half the year will be done!

Kandie, so sorry to hear about Dusty being sick. Glad he's better now! Wow! You have lots of journal projects in the works! I love seeing them!

Ann, how's your eye and finger! I'm so glad your sons were able to finish up the painting for you.

Jan, I'll bet you're looking forward to having all your household projects completed! I mailed your birthday card, but I doubt that it will arrive in time for your birthday! Talk about procrastination!

Jayne, I'm going to go check your WTUI challenge now. Sending hugs and encouragement your way! You have a lot on your plate right now!

Hi Shirl, Shelly, Annette, Anne, Linda and anyone else I've missed!

Good morning all.

Jayne, actually I didn't do all that much work.  I was mostly holding the ladder, reading the instructions for the compost tumbler, handing DH the right hardware, etc.  But, I think it's mostly the bending over to pick up stuff that really gets me.

I haven't been outside yet, because it's kinda drizzly.  I was hoping it would stop.  It won't matter if the leaves are wet to put in the compost tumbler, just more messy to rake and pick up.  I'm planning to put a bin in the wagon, so I can fill the bin and then easily transport it over to the compost unit.  But I prefer to not get wet in the process.

Hahaha, Catherine!  Maybe that's a project you should do with your girls.  Does the quilt have lots of fancy stitching on it?  Or just pieces sewn together.  Either way, you could just use yarn to tie it if you didn't want to quilt it.  Get backin and batting material and layer it, then just tie it in every corner where blocks meet.  If there is fancy embroidery on it, I wouldn't want to quilt over that anyway.

A crazy quilt is on my to do list.  I've collected a lot of old silk ties and blouses, plus some velvets, etc. to use.  I should really get started. ONE. MORE. PROJECT.

Good morning! It is sunny and chilly here, well chilly inside my house anyway. It is probably warmer outside. I don't mind though, I have a cozy green sweater that is wonderful to wear so I'm cozy in it. I haven't pulled out my winter slippers yet.

Today, DD2 is going to work with me as she has a lunch date with a friend. He has been a bit depressed with the isolation and they are going to lunch today to cheer him up. I love her compassionate heart.

Jayne, DD2 wanted to watch The Mentalist. She has seen it before but was so happy to see that it is available on Amazon Prime, so we started watching it again last night.

Congrats on your debut hosting for the WTUI challenge. I'm sure you are a marvelous host. I don't think I'll have a chance to play today but perhaps tomorrow...if I don't procrastinate too much!

Sharon, that is so wonderful that everyone has a quilt made by you. What a treasure!

Kandie! I've been wondering where you were. Have you posted photos of you wonderful journals in your gallery? I shall have to go searching.

I hope Dusty is all better now! Poor sweetie.

Yum to Milky Way! I can pass on the Snickers.

Jan, the work is never ending, isn't it? Glad your neighbor could help.

Gracie, I like your over-achiever story, I think it sounds better than procrastinator. Hmm, there was a little poem about procrastinating that I was amused at when I was a teen. It went something like this, "I have a motto that served me often and neatly, my rule is never put off until tomorrow, what you can get out of completely!"

As for grading of papers, it goes on and on and on...that is one job that procrastinating on is a terrible idea! Then it seems too big a job, plus, with physics and pre-calculus, she needs timely feedback on whether she is doing it correctly.

Melody, are you sure you wouldn't like one more unfinished project? I don't remember the details of the quilt top, I haven't looked at it probably since I was in our previous house that we owned and that has been some years ago now.

Well, off to finish getting ready for work. Chat with you later!

Jayne, congrats on hosting the WT challenge. Got to go check out the ghosting technique. I think I did this eons ago on a alpha card. Do you have to use glossy c.s.?

Washing sheets and going for bloodwork in a bit. Thank goodness I do not have to fast, but can just go when I want.

Yay! Finished a card for D, last night and can post that in a bit.

Catherine, it took me 13 years to finish my first quilt, lol, with the help of a friend every summer when we were on Whidbey Island in Washington.

Have a crafty day all!

Hello everyone,

my DH is getting better. My granddaughter has the broken wrist in plaster.
Both of us had to visit the dentist. My husband had broken off a piece of his
Jaw tooth.

A piece of filling is broken in my tooth. I got a new one.

From the first of November until the end of November we are back in Lock Down.

I hope you are all safe, sending hugs to you all.

Hi Dagmar, sorry to hear you are back in Lockdown, I think France is too, we only have the mini one in our town but the next town to us has been in lockdown for about three months, we wanted to go to the garden centre but the police have blocked the roads

Shirl hope the blood tests go well, steve sometimes has to fast before his!

you ladies are amazing making quilts, I don’t like sewing, steve even sees his own buttons on as I take too long, like Catherine’s saying why put off what you can get out of doing completely!

Thanks Jan! I booked a save my spot online before I went, but they were short of technicians so they got backed up and I had to wait an hour. People were getting upset in the line, but nothing anyone can do. They were going as fast as they could.

Dagmar, so good to hear from you and that was a gorgeous bouquet of flowers!

Jan, that was my one and only quilt, lol.....Maybe I will get back into making another one day, but who knows. Not today, lol.....
