Good morning, everyone! Yesterday was a busy, busy day for me between work and then mattress shopping with DD2. While I was at work, she got together with a couple of friends - one graduated last year and the other is in DD2's class.

We were successful on the mattress shopping, I'm so happy she'll have a good mattress soon. They could have delivered it next Tuesday (her actual birthday) but we'll be gone, if we can arrange pet care. So, we postponed it. If DH had been with us, we wouldn't have paid for delivery at all but I did. They'll take the old mattress when they deliver the new one.

Then I had board meeting in the evening so I didn't even pop back on here.

Melody, how is your SIL's recovery going? I had been wondering about her.

Glad you are feeling better, Jayne.

Kandie, I would say you live on the right side of the tracks since your weather is cooler! It sounds like the mosquitos have set up camp outside just waiting for you to appear. I tend to stay inside because of mosquitos and definitely inside at dawn (probably not even awake yet) and dusk because they are out more at those times.

I haven't done the altered playing card one, I don't have any partial sets of playing cards! I would if I did the challenge, though. Your card looks beautiful!

Jan, favorite colors of green and blue? Excellent choices, those are my two favorite colors! Green gets top billing, followed closely by blue. Having the drawer pedestal under our bed prevents the need for any vacuuming or sweeping under there. We just have to clean the drawers out sometimes.

The only times I've been put fully out for a surgery was when I was in my late teens and had my tonsils out - I came out from being under throwing up, which felt "great" on a raw throat, and then I had them put me out when they removed my four wisdom teeth. That time, they were trying to wake me up because I was making such a bunch of noise as I coming awake that it was scaring the other patients!

Ann, my older brothers has spirographs but had gotten rid of it by the time I was old enough to try it, sadly. It looked like a lot of fun to me. I did see them in the stores when the girls were younger and I bought it for them. I think I had more fun with it than they did!

Good luck with your book, Annette.

I've got to run, chat with you later.

Catherine, you don’t need a playing card to do the challenge, just cut a few 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 pieces of paper and glue them together for thickness. Viola! A “playing card”!

Default Hello

Happy Wednesday!

Jayne- glad you feel a bit better- we are in the height of allergy season here and ragweed is coming next. So far, so good!

Stomach is much better, I was able to eat a good dinner last night and felt fine. Yes Kandie, I have been worked up for IBS, but they determined my issue was caused by food allergies and sensitivities. Usually, I do not have issues if I cheat that last that long. (I had corn on the cob with butter )

The storms that went through our town did a doozie of damage on the North side of town (1-2 miles north of us) and was classified as a F 1 tornado. Many are without power, and it is so nice, if people do have power, they are setting up charging stations on their front porches.

The monarch caterpillars are almost all off the plant- just 3 left. 17 Chrylasis- 8 on the plant and the others ventured off the plant and are scattered around the room. We have a sunroom/3 season room, so leave the windows open so it mimics the outdoor weather. In about a week, the butterflies will open up and after 24 hours-time for wings to dry out, then we open the door and let them out. On occasion, we have to catch them and help them outside.

Daughter and pup headed back to the city at 5:30 this AM, I did not hear her leave.

Melodie- that book with the cut out baby feet is gorgeous! Annette- how cool that you can make art like that with paper and an older book!

Catherine- mattress shopping is always stressful to me! Glad you were successful-and hope you go a great deal too!

Dagmar- hope you can stay inside and cool!

Ann- yes- I used to love the Spirograph! I took some mini ones in a long skinny tin to my friend in the Netherlands last year for her Grandkids. We used to have pens that had many different colors of ink- remember those? And, we would experiment with colors and patterns for hours!

Kandie- you are so funny- the mosquito's must think you are delicious!

Waving hello to all! Off to watercolor a bit and make card kits to mail!

Shelly

Good afternoon everyone.

Kandie, your mixed media is gorgeous. And Dagmar, the card from Jayne is as well.

Catherine, I asked my SIL how she was doing and here response was "okay". I guess that is the best answer I'll get from her. I would probably say the same thing. LOL.

I just had to do it. I made one more ink storage rack - just a small one - holds 8. This one for kaleidacolor pads. So unless I have some inks hiding somewhere, they all now have homes.

Although.......... I may decide to do something for all my punches........

Ohmygosh, Shelly, corn on the cob? With butter?? No WONDER, lol. That would have put me in the hospital! But I have to say, doesn’t that fresh corn taste wonderful?! I sure miss it.

Dagmar, our heat wave is coming. They forecast it to start Friday though triple digit heat started today but Saturday/Sunday are expected to be the hottest. It is even supposed to be triple digits up here where we live.

We are scrambling to find someone to come watch our pets, that is the last problem to solve before we leave on Monday.

What a beautiful card you received from Jayne!

Thanks for the suggestion, Kandie. I thought part of it was to have the hint of the playing card showing through whatever mixed media you did on top of it.

Glad you are feeling better, Shelly.

Melody, thanks for letting me know about your SIL. Good is good, right?

Yes, Kandie, fresh corn on the cob is fabulous. We've been cooking it on the grill.

Jayne, I found a beautiful paper hug in my mailbox from you today. What a wonderful surprise, thank you!

Kandie I never thought about making a playing card, I bought a pack, mind you can’t complain as they only cost €1, I also thought like Catherine that you had to show some of the card!

Ann I’m pleased to hear your card arrived eventually, sounds like things are getting through at last!

Jayne that’s a lovely card you sent with mixed media.

Catherine pleased to hear you are going on your trip, look forward to hearing about it when you get back.

We have been running down the freezer as we don’t like to leave it on while we are away, so we have a spag Bol mixture to use up, Steve looked at the weather forecast and said next Wednesday looks like the coolest to eat a hot meal, LOL last night we had a ham salad Cob, it was just too hot to eat a full meal.
We have the alarm engineer coming today to service it, I have to move things out of the way so he can check the sensor in the corner, I decided it’s a good time to have the sofas out And clean behind them and change them round, Steve said oh joy, he has to help with the large one as it’s too heavy!

Shelly we spent a few days in Chicago before catching the Californian Zephyr to SF, we took a boat trip and it was beautiful weather until we got out there! What with the wind and rain we all had to run for cover, the poor girl doing the commentary was the only one left on the outside, as we left the hotel the whole road was blocked as there was a fire in a building near the hotel so they had to escort us down the road with all our luggage to catch a taxi to the station! We were also there while the Marathon or something was going on so everywhere was packed, wasn’t a very relaxing visit !! We did enjoy the gangster tour

Good morning. Is it Thursday? It must be, the trash bins are appearing on the street. And... DH is asking, are there any estate sales today? Oh joy, lol.

Shelly, I am absolutely awed by your tale of the Monarch butterflies. DH said how cool it would be if you had a time-lapse camera in the room!

I had a Spirograph when I was young, and my girls had one as well, with the colored inks! I’m sitting here thinking... How fun would it be to make some designs and incorporate them into our cards!

Melody, you cracked me up with thinking you might make just ONE more storage project, lol!!! It’s in your blood, I think you must have been an engineer or contractor in a former life, lol.

Jan, Hobby Lobby sells ATC card stock in several paper types. I have packs of watercolor, mixed media, smooth, Manila and kraft. The packs are in the same area as the boxes of decorated envelopes and pre-sized card stock. They have decorated tags, gosh, can’t spell today, and different sizes of white, Kraft, and Manila tags also. Gosh, I was rabbiting, wasn’t I? . Anyway, see, you can make your own. Playing cards are fun if you want some of the card to show. Speaking of... do you and Jayne want me to send you some playing cards? I’m so sorry I didn’t think of that sooner. You too, Catherine, or anyone who wants some cards? We see them all the time at sales!

First headache in three days, it started yesterday afternoon and went all night and this morning. DH and I are trying to understand dew point and air pressure and how it can be the same temp two days in a row yet be different air pressure.

Ok, off to check out estate sales, sigh. Be back shortly.

Kandie I never know what day it is! So join the club!

I bought some playing cards but thanks for the offer, I’ve finished two and ruined about ten, ha,ha

Finished my cleaning and the  alarm is serviced and the room is all put back but the sofas are changed over, why does it look tidier when I move the furniture around?

Just nee the finishing touches to the cards but ran out of steam, I stood so long my legs are aching.

Morning!

Jan, you need to take it easy and not do so much at once! It does feel good when it is done though!! I am one to talk about taking it easy too! LOL!

Kandie, estate sales? What is your dear spouse looking for? Or does he just like to browse? I think estate sales is in his blood!

Catherine, can't wait to hear about your trip. Never been to Tahoe! San Francisco twice and I am not impressed with the city. Sorry, I don't like crowded cities, the scenery is beautiful though with the bay.

Good morning! Back from my walk and am having tea and breakfast while reading the chat. I already had 10 k steps by ten; couldn’t believe it!I laughed , too when I read that Melody might start another storage project! She does enjoy it, I know.
I , too got a happy hug all the way from Australia; beautiful, too! I need to get busy!

Catherine, have a wonderful vacation! Our son lived in Carson City many years ago, and he took us to Virginia City, and Lake Tahoe and Reno. We took a boat trip on a glass bottom boat, or at least a part of it, where you could watch the fish. Probably 30 years ago.
Well, I have been trying to cut cs and do ahead some insides for cards, and color getting ready for DTGD. Do you remember when I flew to Georgia to take care of grandkids and took supplies with me in a suitcase to play DTGD while I was there. With the help of our DGD, did everyone of the challenges. Didn’t have a big shot, paints, stamps or anything. Everything was pre done in hopes I could do the challenge with what I had. Was hoping I could get that ready! LOL. I did a scrap page of it this week.

Sharon when I see Carson city and Virginia city it always makes me think of Bonaza, I loved that programme, poor little joe, all his girlfriends died or left him

Kathy our flights from London to SF aren’t, they’ve been cancelled for September, maybe just internal flights only, I think anyone getting on a plane are either brave or mad, we are only going because we can go on the ferry, stay in the cabin and drive, no mixing.

So Steve has been introduced to WhatsApp by our friend, so now he’s he downloaded it on my iPhone, he’s got obsessed with how good it is mainly because our eldest son actually replies within minutes unlike when he emails him, so he discovered a leak in the pump box, he tried to ring nick, no reply, he sent a message via WhatsApp, two hours later he’s been and fixed it!

Jan, I don’t have that App, but at Christmas time our DD put the Hangouts app on my iPad. I have her, DGD, DGSs and son in law on it. It is quickest way to message them. They get right back to me.

Good morning! I'm running late this morning because I made the mistake of reading...just a little...ha, like THAT ever happens! It is hot, hot, hot! here. And I'm starting to panic just a bit about finding pet care while we are gone.

Jan, I always like to leave a tidy house so I don't come back to a mess. There have been times where, due to a time crunch, I wasn't able to do that but I really dislike coming home to a mess.

Kathy, yes the airlines are flying again. All those people, crammed into a plane, with their masks on. I haven't liked flying in a long time and nothing about that image makes me want to fly any where any time soon.

Ann, I'm with you, I don't like crowded cities at all. I keep thinking we need to take the girls to visit Alcatraz but we haven't even done that. I haven't taken them to San Francisco at all. We have friends who pop over there all the time, we stay away.

Jan, someone near Tahoe there was the exterior set for the show Bonanza. When the girls were little, they advertised that they were closing it so we took them and went on one of the last weekends it was open. I have a scrapbook page about it in one of my books. DD2 was just a toddler at the time.

Kandie, I don't think our thrift stores are open, that is where I would normally pop in to buy a box of used playing cards. As far as I know, they haven't been allowed to re-open yet. I should check.

Sharon, good for you already having your 10K in! And yes, I remember that DTGD and being impressed with how well you prepared for it. You and your DGD did a great job!

Must run!

I'm taking a minute to upload my samples to DTGD hostess staging gallery, but I think I have to wait to add my challenge to the Master Challenge thread until everyone before me posts their challenge, as I read they need to be in order according to the date your challenge is to post. Is that right Ann?

Ann, I emailed my sample to you for your challenge to you. Did you get it? I'm going to email it again, just in case. Also, I hope you got your birthday card by now.

Kandie, have you gotten your birthday card yet? I sent some goodies with it.

Well, I have guests on the deck, so I'd better get done here and get back to them. Also, they said when flying, the plane was half empty and they were placed apart on the plane with no one in the aisle seats. Everyone had masks on. They said they felt pretty safe.

I have not gotten an email from you yet, though!

Default Hello

Just having a moment to sit!
I thought I'd check in on SCS and say hello. On one of my other threads, a crafty friend has a special needs adult son who has been hospitalized 5 times since pandemic - not for Covid, but for GI issues- please- if you are a praying person, send up prayers for him, his name is Nick! And he is back in the hospital.....

I had PT today and ran to the P.O., then stopped into Pier 1, which is going out of business. I looked all through the store, but did not see anything I needed.

I did mail some US sized playing cards to Jayne just today : ) The one she had and was creating with on Zoom was huge! I did get an ATC made for the mixed media challenge that Jayne mailed out- that was fun...I am usually trading ATC's each month with a local group, and we have not met since March!

Catherine- your trip sounds wonderful- hope you will post a couple of pictures!

Sharon- that is a great idea to get ready in advance for DTGD- can you give me any pointers??? It would be nice to have a few things ready in advance! And, we love WhatsApp! We communicate with Ray's sister in Mexico and friends in Germany on that app!

Gracie- enjoy your company!

Kathy- my son flew home from Co. on Southwest, they do not put anyone in the middle seat and everyone wears masks. A friend told me they flew American and the plane was packed and 1/2 the people were not wearing masks! I think if I travel, I will drive! We will head to Colorado end of October to see baby- Oh and son and DIL too.. hehehe

Ann and Catherine, we do not get into the 'city' of Chicago often, it is crowded! But also depends on where you are there and what time of day. Some areas are not so crowded, you just need to be aware of where NOT to go : )

We recieved official notification that the trip to the Holy Land we signed up for in December is cancelled and will be rescheduled for 2021. We are just waiting to hear about the baseball tournament in Florida in November- and I think I will back out if it is not cancelled, the Covid outbreak there is really bad! Fort Myers was 14% ..... not worth it to me!

Off to get creative- hubby is working late then on a Zoom.

Waving hello to all!

Shelly

Quick hello as we have the poppets coming soon..pupil free day.

Spirograph..yes yes yes..love love love..and still have mine in a cupboard somewhere lol.

Playing card challenge. The challenge was to use a playing card and alter it, however if you don’t have any then I guess making one is ok. It is Nancy’s challenge but I don’t think she will mind. The intention was to motivate people to create.....I just emailed it out. You don’t have to have the playing card showing through. The intention was just to alter it in some way. I made one covered up entirely..in fact all 3 I’ve made I don’t think you can see the card lol. There’s lots of videos online on altering cards. Some simple and some very messy MM lol. Hope this helps.

Shelly that’s such a sweet thing to do. Thank you for thinking of me. I do have 3 packs of standard playing cards I picked up from the $2 shop and the supermarket. The jumbo ones I liked because I put a lot of stuff on them lol. I shall look forward to playing with yours.

I’m glad my paper hugs are starting to get through. Jan did yours arrive? I sent mail to the UK and they got theirs. I mailed over 20 cards at the same time. I’m using my stash of cards as my craft room was starting to turn into a card shop lol.

Kandie will be suggesting the MM challenges for September and October if anyone else wants to be included on the email list..fun techniques. Just let me know.

Enjoy your visitors Gracie.

I’ll be back later and will catch upon more news. It’s fun time..whoohoo

Popping on here after you, Jayne. Wow, I am behind for 3 days of reading. I barely skimmed all of it, but I saw the mention of shingles which was funny, cause I just got my 2nd Shingrix shot today. Arm is starting to feel a bit sore, but that is no biggie. I just hope I don't have the next day dizziness that I got with the first shot. I guess I will know on Friday morning!

I was just happy they were doing the shots again. Covid shut down everything and I was unable to get the 2nd shot in May. If I had gone longer than a year since the first shot, which was in Nov., I guess I would have had to start all over again.

Now, I am good for life, right Kandie? The pharmacist said I could still get shingles but it would be mild and I would still have to go to a Dr. if I got it. There is a much higher percentage of not getting shingles with this new vaccine.

Next up will be getting a flu shot. I have not gotten them for awhile, but I felt just awful at the beginning of 2020, so I am getting one if I can in the fall.

Hi to each and everyone of you and big hugs too!

Our heat wave has started. It was 106 where I work when I left today. So glad we are going to Tahoe, it will definitely be cooler up there. Good news, we have the critters covered for next week. Our neighbor across the street, their kids (adults, I think their youngest, who is a boy, is similar in age to DD1 who will be 20 in Oct) will cover it. It was the dad and son who came and split our wood for us.

Gracie, that is how I understand the master challenge thread. Lydia asked everyone to post their challenge, in order, and once you had posted, to PM the next person on the list so you will be PM-ing me.

Ann, how do you have it uploaded to your challenge already?

Shelly, your comment about Chicago reminded me of when I was there as a young teen with my parents. We were riding the L and discussing where we wanted to eat dinner. A native overheard us and suggested a restaurant. I remember we went there and it was a fancy one. I don't remember the food, I do remember mom and I getting silly and dad getting frustrated with us being so silly! I LOVED the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. Fabulous!

Jayne, I'm sure you've been having fun with your poppets!

I'm glad you were able to complete your shingles vaccine, Shirl. Hope you don't get the dizziness!

I started my YT card last night. It is almost done, for some reason it has been a bit of struggle this time, not sure why.

We usually get our flu shot in November, or usually after our trip to SF, funnily I always feel ill afterwards and can hardly move my arm, our son who worked in medical trials said it’s impossible to get ill from the shot but I really do, Steve never does! Our DIL told me the same thing.I didn’t know there was a shingles shot, I’ve never had it thank goodness as I’ve heard it’s not pleasant!

Hi Jan,

The newer shingles vaccine is called Shingrix. They are recommending it to everyone over 50. What ever effects happen with the vaccine, it is a piece of cake compared to getting Shingles. It can affect one's eyes if you get it on your face. Apparently the pain of shingles is pretty intolerable too.

Jayne we are checking mail this morning so hopefully it will have arrived, I will let you know!

Catherine , good news you have found a dog sitter!

DIL in SF just sent an email asking if we knew that our son would have to quarantine with us when we get to the UK, apparently her cousin in England had his trip cancelled and the travel agent said the whole household has to quarantine if they have visitors , we have checked on the government website and it’s not true so why are they spreading things that aren’t true , for one minute I thought our trip was going to be called off.

Thanks shirl, maybe we will be offered it this year when we go, we know someone who’s had it and it’s really awful

Back. Had a lovey day with the little ones. We did the watercolour emboss resist challenge. Well they did. I helped lol. Embossing powder everywhere Lol. They made birthday cards for their dad. I’ll post them once they upload in my iPad. So cute. We played games, treasure hunts and I nipped out to the PO whilst DH watched a movie with them. I drove slowly this time...I mailed another 10 cards...5 to go and all done. I was late with some cards to the UK..eek. We laughed so much this arvo...such fun.

Jan, my nephew is an MP so I will check the exact rules for you but I’m sure the website is up to date. All he said the last time we chatted was that you had to quarantine when you went in..same as here. They have to wear masks in stores. Glad my card arrived. Yours still hasn’t..I think it’s gone via China lol.

We haven’t had a shingles jab yet but have been having the flu jabs for years after I got the swine flu and pneumonia. DH was very sick after one jab and I have had mild cold symptoms a couple of times. The Dr told us that we would have been very sick had we not had the jabs.

Catherine, wow that’s hot. I hope that you have a well earned rest and holiday. Take lots of photos. We are hoping to go north in September and see the wildflowers..going to see what accommodation is available tomorrow. It will be a short trip but the flowers should be beautiful this year..and it will be spring here..yay.

Shelly, can’t wait to see your ATC. Sorry that your friends son is sick..I hope he will be ok.
I’m also sorry that your trip has had to be cancelled but better to be safe than sorry. We don’t expect to travel other than within our State for a while now. It’s sad but it’s out of our control. Thanks again for thinking of me and the cards. Look forward to another crazy zoom with you and the girls. I laughed so much. I can’t wait to see your butterflies.

Linda I’m sorry that you are bored. I wish we could find a crafty mate for you.

Melody, youare amazing..more ink storage hotels. Awesome.

Jan I use whatsapp all the time. It’s great. I have a group chat with ladies off SCS...not this thread. If anyone wants a group thread as it goes through wifi let me know and I’ll pm you my mobile. I love the app. So much better than normal text and it’s free lol.

It sounds as though my cards are starting to get through to everyone. They were all out of my stash and I thought I’d send paper hugs. You ladies have all been so welcoming and I appreciate your online friendship.

Jan don’t over do it and look forward to seeing your cards. Tomorrow, the 15th is when we post our cards ladies......can’t wait to see what you all made. Thanks Jan for reminding me. I had forgotten lol.

Kandie I’m loving your MM and ideas. Yes I saw the cling wrap technique was up again. I will have another go. Hope that your headache has gone.

Thanks ladies for your kind comments on my MM card. I loved making it.

Anaesthetic stories...gosh I could tell a few. I once lost my voice for 2 weeks after one op..now that you would have loved lol. I cried after my last op and woke up saying I felt sad about a friend who had died. The strange things on our minds.

I’ve had a strange week. After somersaulting over the glass table last week, I’ve had a dodgy tummy and stopped milk..didn’t make any difference and not sure what caused it. Felt off for a couple of days. I’ve been out most days and then today the poppets. It’s been a full week and tomorrow I’m lying in bed and then playing lol. It’s going to be a stormy weekend again. Can’t wait for some sunshine but I bet in a couple of months will be wishing it would rain lol.

I received a lovely email from Karen. She’s still having therapy and got a lot of treatment to go through. I’m sure she will love receiving your cards and best wishes. She’s one amazing lady.

No more news this end. Have a great weekend. Keep safe and well and hugs...waving to you all.

Good morning and happy Friday. DH wants to go to a local estate sale and I want to stay here and create, and he won’t go without me. Sometimes I could shake him, lol. He doesn’t need any more projects to do!

Catherine, we are watching the news and the California fires are at the top of the news. I hope none of them are near you?

Jan, I laughed out load about your playing card adventures, made two and ruined 10. Lol. I’m so glad I’m not the only one who has dead playing cards in my trash!

And I think rooms look tidier after rearranging because we put extra stuff out of sight while we figure out what to put where. Don’t worry, it’ll get back to normal soon.

Ann, DH’s number one son is a residential realtor and estate sale agent and an auctioneer, so he has contributed completely to his father’s interest in stuff. And I didn’t help. He didn’t make things until I showed him the wonder that is Pinterest. I just wish he’d quit wanting to go for a while, and get that falling-apart chest, various old crates, and the THREE old sewing machine cabinets repurposed, and quit messing up my back porch. I can’t even get to my pretties out there because all his crap, er, stuff is piled in front!

Hi Gracie!

Catherine, so glad you found someone to watch the fur babies while you are gone! Have fun!!!

Sharon, you are absolutely rolling on getting ready for DTGD. I wish I wanted to play along, but I am mesmerized by trying different techniques in my craft journal, and there is so much to learn. However, I will love looking at everyone’s creations!

Linda, do you like to read? Or play games on a tablet? I can get into Solitaire for hours if I’m not careful.

Shelly, I remember going to downtown Chicago back in the 70s and taking a wrong exit off the Loop. We drove into a neighborhood that had people prowling the streets and it absolutely scared the life out of us. I’ve taken the train once to go see the Taste of Chicago event but got off at the wrong stop and got lost. Yes, I do have a habit of getting lost, lol.

Shirl, according to my doctor, this latest shingles shot replaces the old one and is something like 76% more effective. Doc said it was good for life or until another one comes along that beats 76%.

Jan, DH told me that the flu shots actually contain a bit of the flu virus, and some people have a reaction to it. I ALWAYS do, a day of aches and pains, and then it passes. Just a small piece of advice, though. Do NOT get a flu shot and a shingles shot on the same day! You will be sick for a week!!!

Okay, sigh, I was trying to track down a Ranger craft gun called Heat It. I found the international version and the UK version, but not until I went to the Simon Says Stamp did I find the one made for America. Even Amazon didn’t have it. Melody, is Tim Holtz creating for that company as well? I noticed on the SSS site a lot of Distress products are sold. So I ordered the heat gun. It apparently focuses the heat instead of blowing everything around (like mine).

I went to Hobby Lobby to buy more tags and was shocked to see that what used to be an entire section of tags by Paper Studio, which has 50% off often, has no mention of Paper Studio on the packaging anymore, only HL. So no discounts on them. All those ATC products I mentioned? No longer packaged by that company. Grrrrrrr

Between that and no heat gun, I was really aggravated!

Oh yes (I’m not done yet, lol) Manila tags.  For mixed media.  I bought a package at Joanns, now they were gone in the store and out of stock online.  So I ordered those from SSS as well.

AND THEN, my printer ran out of colored ink.  So we bought colored ink. I put it in, printed the check sheet, all good.  Tried printing three pages of a technique.  Page one was perfect, page two was sketchy, page three was entirely out of black ink!  So now I have to go buy another cartridge!

Who else has shopping trips that are total FAILs in every way?

(((Kandie))). I think you need these after your shopping experiences. My biggest nightmare. I haven’t heard of the heat gun. I do know my stash blows around too. I just hold them with a metal tool on a chopping board..tip by Jennifer Mcguire...lol. Regarding Manila tags. I would make my own using Manila folders from a stationery store or using CS and I have a tag hole die. Much cheaper and easier. I also like to make them larger than the ones the stores make.

Hope your day improves. I’m going to make a cuppa. I also need choccies lol
