I’m am so upset, the British government are about to announce that anyone visiting or holidaying In Spain. Will have to isolate for two weeks on their return so out of our three week visit we are in lockdown to two of it, all the idiots being allowed to come to Spain on holiday have bought it here and now we are being punished, We had no cases in our area and now we have over a hundred, selfish people, I’m so mad!
Our friend just rang, they have two sons with GDs now they can’t visit all of them, they were only going for two weeks.

Good morning! Wesley is sleeping in the window in front of my craft desk and Honey is sleeping in a blanket on the love seat. Such sweet girls.

Honey seems to be doing fine, she is back to sleeping away most of her day. But that is what she did before her adventure.

Kandie, I like to imagine that a doe and fawn took her in for a little rest and she curled up beside the fawn for a nap. I know, not realistic, but that is what I like to imagine!

Jan, yes pets are expensive now. In fact, they encourage you to purchase pet insurance here, though we haven't done that. Perhaps we should!

As for my technology issues, my nephews weren't able to help however, my nephew (who I didn't know was back in the state) told me about a place to take my old iPhone to have the screen replaced. He would have done it himself but his tools are in Texas, where he now lives. From his analysis, my old phone is fine except for the screen. And, because it is such an old phone, it would only cost $50 to have the screen replaced. I'll probably do that because I need some contacts and photos that are in that phone. I need to either be better about backing it up, or let the cloud do it.

Kathy, I was hoping to read about whatever it was that got into your container. I think a raccoon could possibly do that but not really sure.

Kandie, here you can buy rock salt in the grocery store since it is needed for making homemade ice cream. I have also purchased kosher salt for salted backgrounds.

I can't get my Fitbit and my iPhone to speak to each other. They are not on speaking terms at all which is frustrating. Kandie, I pull out "words" like nernfurdle when exasperated with technology! And, when my nephews can't solve it, I'm not sure I have any hope!

No crackle paint here and now I know to avoid it, thank you!

That is a lovely walk, Jan, so pretty.

Funny for the day.

If liars' pants really did catch on fire, watching the news would be a lot more fun.

Funny Melody! And, all politicians would be walking around with flames shooting out of their pants!

Hi all, been gone for a few days. Crafting with a few friends in a huge ballroom at a hotel this weekend. Social distancing.

I'm so happy to have read that Karen is doing OK.

Melody so sorry to read about your SIL. I'll gladly send her a card. Please message me her address. I'll message a reminder to you. Thanks.

Catherine sorry to hear about your phone! I'm glad Honey is on the mend! Yes, I hear you about Vet costs...I'm still paying on my loan for Sadie's vet bills.

Jan, sorry about the 14 day quarantine in Britain. Such a bummer for you. I love the photo of the beach!

Jayne, glad you’re back from your road trip.

Sending hugs to all of you!

Forgot to mention, my SIL did have hip replacement surgery this morning. Thank you all for your prayers for her.

Jan, I'm sorry to read about your trip and the 14 day quarantine, so frustrating. We must have posted at the same time earlier.

Melody, yes, that would be more entertaining...and Washington DC would be a dangerous place to be!

Gracie, you and I first thought of politicians in relation to Melody's funny. I guess we'd see if they properly learned to stop, drop, and roll! Yay for another crafting getaway!

Melody, thanks for the funny. Of course my mind went to the politicians too. So sorry about your sil. I am sure I have something I can send.

Spiders and wasps anywhere are something I do not care for at all, lol....

We are going to friends tonight for a bbq. Social distancing of course. Have not seen them since New Years. Crazy times. I am taking greek salad.

My craft room is constantly messed up. I am NOT sending you pictures, lol.......

Jan, that is a gorgeous picture where you walk. Dh and I had a lovely walk today for 50 mins. Warm weather and a nice breeze. BUT next few days are going to be smokin' hot. Probably 35 C. But 29 C. at 10 a.m. sounds bad!

Ha, I wish I was smokin' hot, lol. Sadly, no, I need to lose some weight now. I refuse to buy bigger sizes, and am making do with the few things that still fit. BUT how to lose it, that is the question, Sherlock.

Jan, sorry your vacation is going to be quarantined. I am not sure if I am understanding right. Is it the Spanish govt. making you self isolate? You have visitors coming from Britain and staying with you? Is that right? Makes sense your visitors would have to self isolate when they return home. But sure is a drag that you will have to as well.

I thought of Victoria immediately when I saw the news this morning about a hurricane coming. Prayers for her.

Gracie-how fun to get your craft on with some friends!

Catherine, sorry about all the tech trouble. Not fun at all.

Wow, Sharon, you have been busy making cards!

Kandie, that is a bummer that the rock candy crumbled. Thanks for the heads up on that. But so very disappointing on your card.

Ann, so sorry to hear about your doggie troubles and now wasps in the mailbox.

Jayne, yes you all need some down time from the sounds of it. Hope you get a chance to craft.

Annette, hope you can get caught up on a nap!

Hope we can all just chill this weekend and for the next few days from the sounds of it.

I found wasps, or I think they are yellow jackets, in my mirror well on my car again. They are on the driver's side, which I hate, so I need to take care of them. The last time, I used the dish soap and water and it worked well. That was a couple years ago.

Terrible to read about vacation trouble, Jan! What is this world coming to? So many new cases of the virus everywhere.

Kathy, I was hoping you would have news for us about the creature with claws!

Hot today and hotter tomorrow! Weeds are growing and I'm not going outside!

Melody, told my kids about the dish soap for the wasps! Hopefully they will go down and try it. Youngest was outside last night after 8 p.m. and came in all bit up even though he had sprayed himself with bug spray! Mosquito are horrible this year!

Off to put my feet up and maybe watch a movie with my sons! Have a great evening everyone!

What has everyone been up to today? I tried my hand at the negative watercoloring that was the tutorial a few weeks ago. I didn't have an appropriate background stamp or stencil, so I did a lot of masking to create my panel - which is partially responsible for the delay. I haven't made it into a card yet. I would just like to say that Dina makes it look so easy! Ha!

Yum to Greek salad, Shirl, and I laughed when you said you were NOT sending pics of your craft room!

Enjoy that movie, Ann!

Have fun Gracie.

Sorry to hear about the quarantine issue Jan...same thing here. It’s a worry about what is happening over East and all because people won’t do the right thing. It’s just getting away. I hope our borders stay closed until it’s all gone.

We are heading out soon so a quick wave and hello to you all. Hugs

Shirl, we haven’t had any visitors this year but other Brits are coming over on holiday and from other countries bringing the virus with them, now the British government are saying Spain is unsafe for anyone to travel to so anyone who lives or visits Spain cannot go to the uk without going into guaranties for two weeks, we haven’t seen our family since last November and now it looks as if we won’t be able to see them even now.

I love the idea of people’s pants on fire, ha.ha. it would certainly make people think about it before telling lies, it’s getting to the point when you can’t believe anything

Ladies, I have another prayer request. If DD2's school has on site instruction, they are going to have to wear masks all day long at school. DD2 does not want to wear masks all day so we need to find another option for her senior year. I'm sad that she won't finish school at the high school she has attended for the last three years but understand why she doesn't want to wear a mask all day every day. They make both of us light headed when wearing them for any length of time. So, now we have a project to figure out school plans for this next year. I almost think she should just take her GED and be done with it all!

Catherine I don’t blame her not wanting to wear mask all day, it’s horrendous walking in them in this heat even for an hour.

I hope you can find a solution,

We just had a call with our son,he tells me that he won’t have to isolate with us unless we show symptoms so as long as the ferry is still running and nothing else changes we will go as planned as our GS is excited we are finally going to see him, plus I have beer, wine etc all ready to go with us, LoL

Well, the camera took 62 pictures. All boring. Cats coming and going. DH washing DS's car. Me in jammies. No strange animals.

Kathy that’s a shame but maybe whatever it was has moved on.

Our son has problems with raccoons, they have the strong bungees holding the lids down, they very often found the bins tipped over, Rubbish all over, one morning they found a baby stuck inside.

Kathy, I’m sorry to laugh, but that is so funny! 62 pictures of a normal day in a normal neighborhood, lol.

Melody, we had a slightly cracked mirror on our truck, a piece of plastic had broken off, and one day I noticed a bee buzzing around it, and then it disappeared! DH took off the front and found a whole nest of bees in there! He soaked it in foul-smelling bug spray. I wish he’d known about the dish soap trick!

Ann, hot hot hot here too, and high humidity. I went out yesterday but like you am not stepping out of the house today! Even watering the flowers, a 10-minute chore, got me eaten alive.

Jan and Jayne, I got up this morning a bit later than DH, and he told me another “expert” had had her 15 minutes of fame, or 30-second spot, on the morning news. She said the virus will run its course and then die out, so don’t worry about masks or self-isolation. It’s people like her that the stubborn people listen to. Indiana is now up at the top of the list of states with resurgence of cases in the US. I’d like to shoot all those experts with a massive amount of paintballs! Right in the kisser!

Jan, such good news from your GS after all!!! Yay!!!

Friday I didn’t feel good, yesterday was okay, today feel like crud. All you who suffer with the weather and humidity, unite in disgust. I wish the weather would level out.

Does anyone watch Flea Market Flip? Some good ideas on there this morning. By the way, I talked DH out of going to estate sales this weekend. He has so many projects already in my she-porch that I can’t even get to it to clean. All my projects are in the craft room, so I’m spending my time in there learning different techniques (and making messes). Love, love making craft messes! It’s like a return to childhood, lol.

Does anyone have any fun plans for today?

Kandie, I think she meant a baby raccoon.

The last time I had the bees in the mirror well, they had been in there quite awhile and I just tried to ignore them, until I got stung. A friend had told us about the dish soap. I really didn't want to use the commercial bug sprays because I know how caustic they are. We used them on a wasp nest in a tree once and the leaves around the spray area, as well as the grass underneath all turned brown, so I was afraid it might take the paint off the car, which is why I had ignored it. But the sting was the last straw. I know you're supposed to wait till dusk, but I may spray the dish soap in the middle of the day, since I'm such a mosquito magnet.

Sorry Kandie I meant a baby raccoon, thanks melody, ha,ha

I agree about all these experts, I start ranting at the TV, LOL, all the people this morning not wearing masks were young girls, too vain maybe, I have my mask and sun glasses, we saw someone we know, we didn’t recognise him until he said hello.

Nothing exciting today, I tried the challenge I’m doing with Jayne to alter playing cards, too small for me really but I have about six on the go as I keep jumping from one idea to the next. We’ve been sat in the garden all day, going in the pool every hour, just to cool off although I do swim, Steve just spends his time getting wasps out that are dead.

We have a spider in the wing mirror, he comes out as we drive along and then pops back in.

It’s our eldest sons birthday tomorrow, 48, yikes, that makes us feel old, they actually celebrated today as he is at work tomorrow, our GS was very excited to show us the card he gave his dad, they took bacon sandwiches to the beach for breakfast and are having fish and chips for dinner. What better way to celebrate.

Good morning! I've got the laundry going, DD1 is at work, DH is gone helping re-build a ramp for one of our church members. Her husband just passed a month or two ago. I need to make my negative watercolor panel into a card. I also have a number of projects around the house to work on, we'll see how far I get.

Jan, I don't blame her for not wanting to wear a mask all day either. It really does make both of us light headed after wearing it for a while. We have home schooled before so I know we can do it. It is just a matter of finding the right program for her that I can support as well.

Kathy, maybe whatever got into your cat food has moved on. In the meantime, your photos sound like a day in the life.

I'd better get off here and get my strength training out of the way for today.

Afternoon everyone!

Lazy day as everyone seems to be tired out today in the house! Too hot outside and no energy inside either!

Have lots of stuff to do but I think I overdid it on Friday. Cleaned out so many cupboards for which I had to go up and down a step stool! Caught up with me today so back is hurting.

Funny Kathy, about all the photos but no creature! I was so hoping you would have found out what it was!

Jan, son 48 wow!! So weird to look back and where have all the years gone. I look at my sons and wonder it all the time!

Kandie, was hoping you would be feeling better and no allergy symptoms! This weather is weird. First too cold, then too rainy and now too hot.

Someone give me some motivation please! And inspiration to make a card, I don't have any right now.

I'm in walmart. Woman riding cart with no mask goes by and I hear her say I have COPD and asthma and I could litterally die if I wore a mask. Ahhhhhhhhhhh

I try not to get angry when I see people without masks but I have this sense of fair play. And it just feels like some people feel like the rules don't apply to them. is that lady could literally die if she wore a mask she shouldn't be out shopping anyway. Sorry for the venting.

Ann, in this heat I have no motivation either.

Kandie, it's HOT AND HUMID here, too! Whew! My retreat was air conditioned, now I'm home and feel like I'm in a sauna. Fans on high! I had fun and made several cards and tried out the "ribbon pull card". It was easier than I thought. Kandie, I hope you're feeling better. This weather is not good for sinuses.

Sorry Ann, no motivation here either...maybe tomorrow. lol

Melody, I got stung a week ago and my side is still red and swollen. I got a tetanus shot on Thursday. I didn't realize you could get it from insect bites. It only itches a little bit now, but it sure hurt when it stung me! Little buggers!

Jayne, hope you're enjoying being back home now. Glad your birthday card finally arrived! LOL

We went to a new stamp store and 2 other ones...my budget is now shot for the next 2 months! LOL Sure was fun though!

Catherine, I'm sure you DD2 could get her GED if she can't find an online school she'd like. So sorry her Senior year has to be like this.

Jan, my oldest son just turned 45! I feel your pain! Where does the time go? I can still remember the day he was born...it seems like only a few years ago. I loved raising my children. Lots of good memories!

Kathy, I try not to go to any major stores. My DH does all the shopping, thank goodness. I saw some raccoons in a tree next to our cabin. They are so cute, but they sure can be very destructive.

Well, I think I'll relax a bit...I have all my craft stuff piled on the stairs. I may put it away tomorrow.

Gracie, sounds like you had fun. The best thing for a bee sting... make a paste with meat tenderizer (papain) and water and put it on the sting. I was amazed at how quickly that takes the pain away.

Kathy, that lady sounds like she was doing a cop out, maybe because of getting dirty looks. If she doesn’t want to wear a mask, she better hope she doesn’t get the virus. With her low immune system, she may have to be on a ventilator, and then she’d be wearing a mask in order to survive. And that is me being cranky. DH was at Lowe’s home improvement store getting some wood and he got behind a construction guy bragging that he’ll never wear a mask, no one can make him, and he doesn’t even believe there is a virus.

Now if I had to wear one for 8 hours, I’d be in trouble, because after a while my nose starts to itch. And I nearly dumped a root beer down the front of me because I tried to take a sip without removing the mask first! And anything over two or three hours, if I sweat, my chin breaks out.

I’m having trouble typing on here, is anyone else having a problem? I type words, I reread them, post, and then find words I didn’t type, or words left out of a sentence. Or stuff capitalized! So strange.

Jayne, I did my Neutral project for MMJ today, took three photos, did the full explanation on the full photo and just a sentence on the other two that were close-ups. I just checked to see if anyone had commented, and my Titles didn’t match up with the photos! The full description was on the wrong photo. Gosh. It’s enough to make a person frustrated! I deleted one closeup a few minutes ago.

The camera is ready again. I sure hope I catch something interesting tonight! I have a teeth cleaning tomorrow. It was supposed to happen in March but didn't. DH and DS both have there's Tuesday. DH has to get tested for covid so he's setting that appt up tomorrow. It has to happen before students come back to campus. Wednesday I see my doctor and see how bad my lab work was and how much weight I gained! My arm is still black and blue from the blood draw but I don't mind because she makes it absolutely painfree! I'd rather be black and blue than have it hurt. That's why I go to my doctor's office to have it done rather than the hospital lab. My doctor's ladies all know what they are doing!

I just don't get it. Are people really that stupid to think there is no virus? How does he account for the thousands who died? I think that's also just an excuse.

I couldn't wear them 8hours either. Just shopping for half an hour and I'm ready to go crazy

Kandie my top lip sweats when I have my mask on, I’m just pleased that over here you aren’t allowed by law in a shop without a mask, on Saturday I was in line waiting to pay and the man behind me was too close, when you get near the check out they have lines but he was still right behind me so I positioned my cart so he couldn’t put his stuff on the belt until I had moved, I really want to shout at him, they usually tell people to stand away.

Sorry I can’t send anyone any inspiration as I don’t have any either, the heat just beats down, it’s an effort to actually walk to get in the pool with the heat, I think the tiles in the garden don’t help as it seems to reflect it back up, they burn your feet.

Hi everyone! Well, I finished my negative watercolor panel into a card...but couldn't upload it because of the technology problems with my computer which were created by my phone issues...grrrr!

As for the lady without the mask who has asthma, in CA they say that people with asthma should not wear masks. Yes, they are at a higher risk of getting the virus and it being more deadly for them, but they shouldn't wear a mask. That said, she may not have anyone to shop for her so she has to be out. Just to give another perspective.

Uh-oh, Gracie, sounds like you had a lot of fun in some stamp shops!

We had dinner with my brother, SIL, their two sons and the wife of the oldest son. That was fun. They are coming over here tomorrow. I'd better get off here and work on my steps!

Yes, well said, Catherine. We just do not know the whole story of people's lives.

Two of the women in our complex were at the grocery store and wearing their masks. A much younger woman came up to them and said "You two look ridiculous, Covid is over". I still cannot get over her remark. Guess she doesn't watch the news?
