Catherine the pups are from the same litter, our GS says they are twins, he was so pleased that I could tell them apart, his pup Freya has the darker face, Evie is lighter.

Our youngest GS today asked his mum if he could have Mussels for lunch, she told him she wasn't sure if he would like them he told her that Nan and Grandad Buy them for him all all the time! We do in Spain as Steve cooks them for him but not in England, ha,ha he’s a little monkey.

For those of you who left comments on my blog, thank you. I found them under comment moderation (or something). Not sure why I haven't been getting emails. So they have now been published.

Your ink hotel was awesome Melody!

Jayne, I'm at a craft retreat for stamping and card making. It is a large two story retreat center and usually can accommodate 18 crafters. However, with the Covid 19 restrictions, there are only 8 of us here.

I'm hoping to get on the Zoom mtg. but I don't want to bother the other ladies...I could put the sound down low. I'm hoping the internet works better here.

I did do the 2 sneak peeks last night!

Kandie, I hope you're having a good day!

Hugs to everyone and hope to chat with many of you later!

They might go shopping and out to supper, so we'll see. I did mention it. I want to stay and craft but I don't want to be a party pooper either! LOL

When i came in I checked the temperature. It was actually 72 out. The mosquitoes were just starting to buzz me. I like to lay out on the lounge chair on the back deck and star gaze, but I have to keep covered because I can hear them buzzing around my head.

Dad started an antibiotic for his toe issue, but Mom thinks some of his confusion might be from low blood pressure. So she's adjusted how often he gets his meds and he seems a bit better. They both have doctor appointments Tuesday, so she's going to ask the doctor about it.

Wow Melody, that is fabulous, I love the bird paper, it looks like a lantern, makes my few inks look sad, I didn’t realise how many they have out there!
How big is it?

We are just back from lunch. Was very pleasant but I feel like a stuffed pig lol. Going to post the cards I made earlier and maybe finish others later..unless I have a nanny nap lol. Drinking wine at lunchtime isn’t good.

That was such fun to Zoom with those who were on while doing VSN cards.

Kathy, hope your system has settled down.

Melody, your ink hotel is amazing!

It is after 11 here, I should head to bed, I suppose.

I would like to know the size. Maybe I can do something on a smaller scale for my oxides and distress inks. How many ink pads does it hold?

Melody, that is a masterpiece!! You need to post that on SCS!!!

I'm logged in now in case anyone wants to zoom!! Feel free to come and go and I'll stay connected through the day. Only way it shuts down is if now one is on! LOL!

It's so hot and I can hardly breathe outside today! Had to run Athena out as she was throwing up again. Fun way to start the day! She looked so sad this morning.

I gave her soda crackers with no salt on and told her that her stomach had to settle before she could eat anything else. I just got her head rocking back and forth looking at me.

Thanks so much to Ann and DS for setting up the Zoom! I hope I wasn't too crazy! I don't want to get kicked out of the group! After eating a fish fry and drinking a Mike's hard lemonade, I was a bit loopy...I'm a light weight drinker. It was fun, but I didn't get a lot done. I might pop in a couple times today, but I thought I'd better chat with my retreat buddies rather than be on my computer. One of the gals is teaching us something today, too.

Kathy, I sure hope your tummy is better today! I hate when that happens!

Melody, your Ink Embassy Suites Hotel is amazing! One of the girls at the retreat said you should send pictures to Tim Holtz.

I was up until 4 a.m. last night...morning! Jayne Facetimed with me at 3 a.m. LOL The gals here we're all in bed. They asked me who I was talking to last night! Oops!

Zoom away ladies! Hugs!

My DS2 likes Mikes. I don't much like the taste of anything with alcohol, but I drank a Smash Screwdriver the other night. Yes, very loopy because I'm not a drinker. I was trying wine to lower my cholesterol, but I haven't found any that taste good so I thought maybe screwdriver might work. I know vinegar works but I'm not drinking vinegar and haven't found a good recipe using it either.

Kathy, this one holds 144 full size ink pads. Right now I have 120 (well, actually 121, since I have 2 vintage photo). The slots are roughly 3" wide, 1" high, and 2-1/2" deep. The ink pads fit fairly snug, but not tight.

I wrote up basic directions on my blog post. "I started by cutting pieces which would hold the ink pads. These are cut 2-1/2"x8", and scored at 1", 4" and 5". I taped the edges together. The ink pads will hang out the front by about 1/2", so I can pull them out easily."

My older one held 48 pads. This blog post. No directions there, but pretty much the same, just put together differently for the final product.

Because each opening is a tube, when glued together, there is double chipboard under each ink pad, except for the bottom, and I added an extra layer on the sides, top and bottom, plus enclosed the back.

There are a lot of different ways to stack the individual units and you could make as few or as many as you like. I could add more on the top if I needed to. The storage box at the top is not attached, so I could raise that to accommodate more ink. Not that I plan to need that.

Both units are very sturdy, however, the smaller one was susceptible to being knocked over, although that never actually happened. Almost.

You really want to use something heavier than card stock, because I don't think that would take the weight. Cereal boxes, cracker boxes, poster board, etc. I use Aleene's tacky glue, which holds extremely well, but you do have to hold it a little bit until it's set.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Good morning! VSN hangover! I cannot believe it is over! Ann thank you for doing Zoom for us to hang out together! It makes it so fun! It is almost like a slumber party! LOL
Ann, I hope you got some sleep last night. All that zooming had to make you tired. LOL
I also checked in on Kim’s and Shelly’s zooms. There were several going on. I met Jen and Kim for the first time.

Catherine, did you finish all the challenges? I can’t believe how you were keeping up!
Annette, did you get them all done? Shelly? I did them all and one extra. And I didn’t ask Ann, because I KNOW SHE GOT THEM ALL DONE TIMES THREE, AT LEAST, I don’t know why that is all caps, sorry. Didn’t mean to yell.
I saw Jayne uploaded a bunch. How many did you get done, Jayne? Gracie?
I have been on this site for a while commenting, so time to get off.

Oh, I lost this thread! I must have deleted when I was deleting all the VSN threads I posted too! I had to go find Ann and click on it in her signature!
Happy Sunday , everyone! Hope you are feeling better, Kathy.

Oh yes I was tired but still up at the normal time today!

Sure was fun hanging out with everyone on Zoom! I did get lots of things done, Christmas cards, cutting cs...

No chair yet Sharon? Hopefully on Monday!!

Good morning, ladies. Sounds like y'all had a party. I know that I'm not going to do all the VSN challenges... just not motivated. I think it's the hot weather. It just zaps my energy.

Kathy, how many distress/oxide inks do you have?

Good morning! Thanks Ann for hosting our zoom. I hope you are feeling better this morning. No dairy today after yesterday's overload. Also thanks to those whose joined us for a fun time. I always enjoy crafting with you all.

Sharon, I did get 3 more of the Christmas challenge done. I had one for each done before the start except the kids one. It took forever to figure out what to do with the panel.

Family time today so I'm going to get some vacuuming and dusting done before we have the extra dog here for a week. If I don't stay ahead of the fur, I will be very congested. I also need to get the ribs ready for a long smoke and cook time on the bbq.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Kathy, how many distress/oxide inks do you have?
I have 28 oxides and 20 distress inks

Good morning! Yes, it is still morning here and what a difference a day makes. It is lovely outside, perfect weather for our run this morning where I was able to make it to the top of a couple of hills that I had never made it to the top running before! Woot, woot! Our forecast high for today is 77 degrees! Yay! I don't see anything higher than 89 on the extended forecast, but I know that can all change.

DD1 is at work for a long day (10:45 to 7 pm or so). DD2 is still asleep, I got Wesley out of her room so Wesley wouldn't bother her. DH is, of course, busy working on a project.

I have a lot of VSN commenting to do.

Thank you, Ann, for hosting the Zoom. It was so much fun! I think it helped me get the challenges done! Which is counter-intuitive for me.

Sharon, I still have three left to do. The kids one (not sure what I'll use for a container for that), the Beach Boys one, and summer of '68 one.

Kathy, I hope you are feeling better today.

Ann, no dairy for you!

We also have some appointments today so not sure how far I'll get with commenting and making the final three projects.

We went out to lunch today, sat outside. We were sitting under a tree, and the tree was shedding, so we had our masks on...

Did you hear about the guy who tripped on his wife's bra? It was a booby trap.

So, Kathy, depending on what type of space you have to work with...

AND... depending on whether or not you intend to get any additional ink pads...

Building either vertical or horizontal, configurations could be 8x6 [48], 5x10 [50], 4x12 [48], 7x7 [49], 6x10 [60], etc. The most important thing for me was that each ink had it's own space -- no stacking. This is my old unit [holds 48].
