Jan, that puppy photo could be posted to Pinterest in my Totally Adorable board!

Ann, so scary driving in that bad weather, so glad you are home safe and sound.

Catherine, I'd be grateful to Dusty if she would even walk in the middle of the street as long as she would just walk! But she's so stubborn that she sits down like a mule and won't budge. So much strength in those stumpy little hind legs for such a small dog.

Some nasty gremlin must have hit the top of my head with a sledgehammer early last night, because I have been awake most of the night with a monster of a headache. Right on the top of my head. Jan, that blast of sunshine was not conducive to relieving head pain, lol.

Kandie it’s awful when you have a headache and can’t sleep, we keep waking really early and then, if, a big if, you drift off again you feel so tired, we’ve been like it all through lockdown, not sure why.

Good evening, Jan. Today is DSM’s 83rd birthday and I was going to bring her lunch and the card I made for her. Instead, I’m looking at this iPad screen in low light with the tv off, no sound please. I am seriously glad DH is doing pricing of stuff for a future estate sale because I don’t think I’d get any rest with him here and the tv on non-stop.

Today’s WT challenge is using a bleach technique. I haven’t gotten around to trying that yet.

Morning!

Jan, I am like that all the time with getting up to use the restroom at night. Last night twice and then trying to fall back to sleep! It's so hard to do so.

Kandie, so sorry to hear you have a headache again. Weather related or food?
My oldest son read somewhere that if you get a lot of headaches you are not drinking enough water, I think it was in Men's Health magazine.

I can't wait to see Annette's craft space! So happy for anyone getting new organizational stuff for a craft room. So fun!

Good morning, Ann. I drink water from the time I get up to the time I go to bed. One of my daily meds gives me dry mouth badly. Possibly it’s from the weather; I got up once during the night to take a Zyrtec-D. It could also be tension or a combination of things. At any given moment I usually have something on my mind, lol. What little mind I have left, that is.

So sad to hear you have a nasty headache Kandie! Hope it goes away quickly!

Jan those puppies are adorable.

Jayne, Tom went golfing. I didn’t as I’m still operating with one hand. I did make some shaving cream papers. I only had gel shave cream and Hawaiian Punch powder. They turned out to be pastel looking colors. I’ll post today.

It takes me so long to type, I forgot what else everyone said!

Going to craft room. Check back later.

Steve has to take diuretics, is that how you spell it? and he takes them when he wakes up but no matter how much or how little he drinks he has to get up in the night. Of course he wakes me up!

Kandie we don’t have the TV on until after our evening meal, we used to have a Tv in our bedroom, well in every bedroom when the boys were at home, when we came here I said I didn’t want one in the bedroom, Steve would fall asleep watching it and I would be kept awake, same when he listened to the radio, I had to wake him up to turn it off!
I told him stay up if you want to watch something, he neVer stays up as we like to go to bed at ten, I know what you mean about constant noise, when I worked on Friday evening when I got home I would just sit, in total quiet with a cup of tea.

Kandie I won’t be doing anything with bleach, I use it all the time but it scares me, ha,ha, I once ruined a carpet Cleaning the skirting boards with bleach water, it dripped and took the colour out of it.

Our GS sent us a video of the puppies sleeping, it was pitch black, couldn’t see a thing but I didn’t want to tell him as he’s like a new parent fussing over them both, he’s such a kind boy.

Good morning! Another hot one here today. DH and I have already gone and walked the loop partially because of the heat but also because I'm headed into the office today. DH and I are also fasting, I haven't had any food since Sunday evening. I'm trying to last a week, DH will, I'm sure, go longer. It is so easy for him!

Yes, dehydration can definitely cause headaches. DH used to get those. He has also gotten headaches due to elevated blood pressure and then there is the fact that he had a traumatic brain injury when he was 17. All sorts of reasons for headaches.

So sorry you have another horrid headache, Kandie. And yes, isn't it amazing how strongly those little dogs can resist walking where they don't want to? I am amazed!

Jan, those pups are adorable! I just want to hug them!

Jayne, has it been too long since you golfed? I'm sure it will come back.

Gracie, how much longer will it be before your hand is back to normal?

Jan, what were they doing to disinfect the seafront?

I'd better go get ready for work.

Sometimes , they never get them here! I think they just had one once when I asked for it. Of course , I rarely go to Wendy's. I would have to go by myself!

Kandie, so terrible for you to to have those headaches. I hope you can get over it quickly!
Jan, adorable puppies. Your DGSs are adorable, too!

I just ordered online and Did curb pick up of a craft order from the craft store near our place. Even though it is in another town, it was Only a 10 mile round trip.
I got the new Speckled Egg Oxide I k. They just got it in. Also some heritage scrap papers and Corona Virus Die cuts for scrapbooking, just a small order, but I wanted the new oxide color. There are going to be some more new colors , too. I watch a lot of Tim Holtz Facebook lives! What an enabler!

I can't wait to see Annette's new room! When is our next Zoom?

Kathy , loved the videos!

Thanks everyone for the love in my gallery. I have done several samples for hostesses for VSN. Even did my Teapot card and J. Doing pretty good this week, creating.
Next week, Dr. appointments start again.

Glad You got home safely, Gracie. So , I sent a card to the Arizona address....

Catherine they had a tanker and had a hose spraying all the path, you could spell the disinfectant, they had workmen cleaning all the feet washing taps on the beach, cleaning all the decking from the sea to the foot washers, they are going mad, I think they are opening the beaches next Tuesday but only for people who live in our area, no outsiders

Sharon I love that new colour, sadly I found a birds egg on our drive yesterday and it was that exact colour, not sure what bird had laid it, such a shame, not sure how it got there.

We have a bird wakes us in the mornings, he sings non stop, really tuneful too,
We have lots of blackbirds and the pied wagtail has started coming, a sparrow hopped on to the float that Steve puts the chemical blocks in , he stood on it, it tipped slightY
and he took a drink and flew off, never seen that before,
Steve leaves the flies that he gets out of the pool for the birds, we also have two bright orange dragonflies that come every afternoon, they land on the edge of the pool then fly off, not sure why.

Sharon our eldest GS has been ringing us every few days throughout the lockdown to check on “you guys” as he calls us. That always tickles me when he says that, it’s so American

Thanks Sharon, I got your card the day before we left! It was beautiful! New DOX ink to play with! What fun! I have a new stamp set that's suppose to be delivered today.

Catherine, my hand will take 3 to 6 weeks to heal. It's much better...doesn't hurt all day now. Thank goodness! I still can't believe that Sharon had 2 broken wrists. I don't how she did it.

Jan, wow, that's impressive that they are cleaning and disinfecting everything so locals can use the beach area. We have Orioles, so brightly colored, singing loudly every morning here. They have a hanging nest way up high in the tree.

Ann, I think I caught up commenting on Alpha cards yesterday, but will have to check today. I know Catherine was going to post one.

Jan, yes, we say "you guys" for even the ladies. Ha ha! "Are you guys coming over?" I guess "guys" has become generic.

Kandie, hope you are feeling better.

I need to get off SCS and do some crafting...

Grandkids are coming again today to swim. Again no crafting time for me.

Always washing the towels and suits from swimming, but at least we get to see them.

Reminder ourselves what it was like not being able to have them here.

My spouses Kiwanis club will be starting up again June 9th. I don't want him to go as the meet in a bar. Not a good thing!

I saw my sister yesterday. She is moving much better so hopefully her ribs are healing. She is still sore, of course. Ribs seem to take a long time to heal.

I made my Walmart trip today. I had moms list and mine. I do her shopping first, take it to the car, and then go back in for mine. I always take two coolers along so I can put her stuff in in to keep it cold. Then I went to Wendy's for that yummy salad and lunch to take home to mom and dad. I am so grateful to live so close and to be able to help out. Then I went to Dunkin for my coffee. I always hold off on the coffee on shopping days so I can wait to go to the bathroom until I get home.

Saturday is card class. We are adding another gal to our group! So including the demo there are 8 of us! Demo wanted me to sign up under her so I could help and get discounts. I didn't want to sign up, so we came up with a plan. I will make three cards or projects each month and supply the stuff for all the others and she won't charge me a class fee. Plus she s giving me demo discount on all I buy. I used a new bundle for two cards and then the sailing home bundle for a masculine card.

Hi all! Sorry about your headache Kandie. Those are horrible. Our
weather here is so up and down and I am struggling with one too but
nowhere hear what yours sounds like.

I am
behind on creating and commenting. I haven't made anything since last
Friday. I just found out that the shelf brackets that I've been waiting
for are now in stock. I'm planning on making the 4 hour round trip drive
tomorrow to pick up those and my new window coverings. Once those are
up my space will be complete. I am struggling to find inspiration right
now but I'm going to try and accomplish something.

Ann, I was working the whole time, just from home, better commute, lol.

Yay, Kathy, I'm glad your favorite salad is back...I wonder if Vickster knows?

Sharon, when you did curb side pick up did you feel like you were doing a drug deal? That's how I felt when I did curb side pick up at Michaels...of course, I really have no idea what a drug deal is like, lol.

Thanks for the explanation, Jan. I was having trouble picturing it!

Gracie, I'm glad your hand doesn't hurt all day long now, that is improvement. As for "you guys," my daughters assure me that "dude" isn't gender limited any longer either.

You are such a blessing to your parents, Kathy. I'm glad you live close by too, that is so wonderful. I wished I could live close to my mom when she was alive but the town where I grew up didn't have much in the way of job opportunities.

The deal you have with your demo is wonderful too!

Yay that the brackets are in, Annette!

Catherine, that’s the problem nowadays, kids move to get better jobs, both our sons left our area to get work, as it was only a small town with no prospects, at first the eldest moved to Manchester and youngest to Nottingham, then the eldest was offered a job in London , that was always his dream to live and work in London and then our youngest moved to Boston with DIL, then they moved to San Diego and then 14 years ago San Francisco.

Can we make a scrap page for our alpha challenge?

I seem to have so many cards made, I’ve been going through them and taking out ones I don’t like much, I may have to cut them up and try to revamp some of them, or actually throw them away..

Jan, I don't see why not. The whole idea for the challenges is that they help you create, whether it's a card, a scrapbook page, journal page, or 3D item. I say go for it.

Happy Friday everyone. Jan I’ve done scrapbook pages for Alpha challenges and not been told off...yet...LOL.

Annette, glad your card made it...gosh that’s the longest time ever so far but still a lot more to be delivered that I mailed with yours. Can’t wait to see your space.

Ann, enjoy the poppets. We may see ours tomorrow...not sure. Saw son3 today which was lovely and had lunch out down near the city. Was such a beautiful day. We also went to a 3 hour presentation at an over 55s village. DH wasn’t impressed as he is not interested but our friends have moved in there. I loved it and overlooking a golf course. DH says it made him feel old...I reminded him...we are old LOL. Oh well, it was interesting and we had a free morning tea LOL, with lots of hand washing and sanitising.

Our monthly craft group starts again next week. Kathy, how cool to strike a deal with your demo and help with cards for your group. Our demo does that. She brings the stash and we pay her to make cards using her stamps/dies/paper. I’ve made some beautiful cards and saves me a fortune on buying product.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I need to go and finish off commenting on cards and then think about what’s next this end. It’s been a busy long day.

Jayne, your DH sounds like my Grandad, when my grandma said she was going to join the whist drive he refused to go, he said they are all old, my grandma said well we are but it was a long time before he would go, mind you I see people and say look at that old couple then think they are most likely our age, I just can’t bring myself to think of myself as old.

Have you seen the latest things that make people more likely to catch the virus, blood type A and baldness, our son told Steve he must have a bullseye on his forehead, heart problems, overweight, over 65, now bald and blood Group A, he says he doesn’t stand a chance, LoL no wonder he still doesn’t want to go shopping!

The girl on the door at the supermarket stopped a fella going in this morning, no mask, she told him its obligatory, he was moaning at her and was chuntering to me as he came outl, as I came out he returned with his mask!

I'm pretty sure you can. I think Sharon has done it in the past. Go for it!

I have a thrifty friend who refuses to throw anything away! She would have a heart attack if she saw what I've tossed! At card class we always give her the leftover pieces of ribbon. In cooking, she will eat something she's made until it's gone, even if she didn't like it. If she has magazines, she must give them away, no matter how old. If she can't find someone who wants them she will take to a thrift store. I know we are to be good stewards of our time and possessions, but I'm not eating an overly ripe soft cucumber when there are perfectly great animals that will eat them in the field where I toss food scraps. (Probably why Mr. Skunk was hanging out! LOL)

Good morning, everyone. A beautiful day today, 73 already and a great day to go for a drive to a 50% off estate sale with some interesting old furniture. I wonder if there is even anything left?

Back in 1994 I was thrown from a horse and had a severe neck injury and also the traumatic brain injury, so a lot of my headaches do come from that, or compression of the neck nerves if I Don’t keep my head on straight (gosh, that sounds weird, like maybe I put my head on crooked when I get dressed, lol). The injury still causes me a lot of problems, peripheral neuropathy and all that crud, but yesterday’s I think was brought on by tension from many things, DH had the misfortune to aggravate my last nerve last night and I blew up at him, something I’ve never done. I had SUCH a bad headache but was trying to function, doing laundry and straightening up the house while he was gone. After he got home, I just wanted to watch an episode of a show, and he kept butting in with details on how to hinge a door on a chipmunk trap and I couldn’t hear...

Oh well. The poor man looked like lightening struck him. He didn’t say a peep the rest of the evening, and this morning he is EVER so polite...

I did try to make something using bleach. Never having tried it before, I stupidly didn’t realize that the bleach would dissolve the paper cup I put it in, and I also didn’t realize bleach was so thick, and I had ooze flowing all over my craft table and ruining all the papers nearby and burning my fingers when I tried to soak it up. (That really was stupid of me, as the smell made me nauseated, when I have a migraine I don’t function well in thinking).

Now today, i feel better, so I watched the video again that showed me some ideas on using bleach on a card, and I still want to try it! Maybe I’ll wear a mask this time!

Kandie you really have had a terrible time, no wonder you get headaches, actually steve tells me off sometimes if I talk while he’s watching a programme but he will comment on things if it’s my program, I’m too polite to say anything, ha,ha

Be careful with bleach, that’s why I won’t craft with it, even though I use it all the time for cleaning.

I’m really worried as our middle GS is ill, he has a headache and tummy ache, he saw his friend the end of last week although they kept apart but our DIL says he’s so ill, the doctor is going to speak to him later on video link, apparently his friend is fine so we are most likeLy panicking for no reason but it’s been going round my brain all day, I was trying to do a scrap page and couldn’t concentrate then my printer started making black lines across my photos, took me half an hour of cleaning, nozzles, printer heads etc I gave up after that.

Our DILs sister, you may remember the one who is having her memory wiped, ha,ha, no news yet but she’s been told no visits from anyone until the baby is six months, can’t believe that, better to be safe than sorry but her mum and dad will be upset.

Good morning! We are so thankful that it has cooled off here and it is going to be cooler over the next few days. I'll take it! This is day 5 of no food, I'm not sure how much longer I'll go with it. DH thinks he'll probably fast the rest of the month! I definitely won't be going that long!

Jan, so often kids have to move for work or whatever reason and I am always concerned when I see parents retire and then move to where their kids are for that reason.

So sorry your GS is ill, hopefully it is just a cold or something and will pass quickly.

Yay for your craft group restarting, Jayne!

Jayne and Jan, I remember listening to my mom and her friends talk about forgetting how old they were. Of course, at my young age I couldn't even imagine that!

Kathy, we try to be very responsible stewards but I draw the line at eating something I've made that I don't like. I have reached an age where I have to like the food to put the calories in.

Traumatic brain injuries are horrible, Kandie. DH deals with the effects of his TBI. If he doesn't get enough sleep, he has a hard time finding words. It is very frustrating for him.

I avoid bleach whenever possible!

We are going green on the 12th!! I'm crying like a baby. I think it's from relief from constant bad news to finally something good!

Catherine when you say fasting exactly how much are you eating?

Not sure I could do that, we only have breakfast and dinner.

We don’t waste food but I wouldn’t eat anything that was bad or off, we always make another meal with left overs, Steve still cooks for four, even after all the years there’s only been the two of us.

I'd like to know too how she fasts. Maybe drinking protein drinks?

As for my friend eating just so she doesn't waste...she is always trying new recipes and the last time she did they she told me they didn't like it but she was finishing it until it was gone. I would gag if I had to force myself to eat it. I would throw it in the field because there are always hungry critters so no waste! LOL

I'm dreaming of a haircut!
