Default Hello

Hi ladies!

Just 3 more cards to make...!  I have 6 to upload tonight. I have not been in the galleries- I will work on commenting after cards are all loaded!  Congrats to Sharon and Annette for their Queen status!
It was a year ago that I met Hawaiian and Jayne in the DTGD chat thread- they were hysterical and very friendly.  It was my 5th or 6th year at DTGD and the first time I really ' met' new stampers.  They invited me to the Alpha thread..... !  Thanks Jayne and Victoria!

Shirl- I have never heard of Ozarks, but watched Breaking Bad and we liked it, so will check into it. LOL, I like your idea about the self-cleaning bathroom!  My sister is a patent attorney if you come up with an invention!

Kandie- yes, saw new color and like it!  Love your plaque- and love your DI page- beautiful soft colors!

Catherine- your DH is going Stir Crazy at home- are there other folks at your work, or just a change of environment?  Glad your air quality is better!

Jan- your stories about bedtime and all are fantastic!  Glad you are enjoying your time.  And, let us know how the craft store is and if you need another suitcase to get it all home : )

Jayne- hoping you are having a great night of sleep and prayers that your tests turn out well!

Gracie- love your Mixed Media!  Hope your visit with Sis and Mom goes well!

Kathy, so sorry you are missing your Workshop- no way to do it on Zoom?  I know it is not the real thing, but so nice to meet up on Zoom as an alternative!

Melanie- are you getting any creating done?  Or, making 3D storage items still?

Annette- missed you today- I think I read you have all of your links up!!! Wahoo!

Waving hello if I missed anyone!

Shelly

Night Ann! Well, I hope I do have sweet dreams. Last night I dreamt that our toaster oven gave up the ghost and it is only 3 yrs. old! Glad I woke up, lol......Now why would I dream something like that, I ask you.

Question Is wrong to start a thread. Ask people to their favorite youtube videos, on Stamping? Dose SCS have rules about that? And what forum would you posted in? Thanks Linda

It has been another busy day - and I am still behind on my commenting for DTGD (and, of course, the alpha thread). I still have two projects left to complete them all for DTGD.

Our air quality seems better this evening, hopefully that means the fires are getting under control. Triple digits are forecast to return this weekend.

I was so rushed this morning, I wanted to tell you, Kandie, that I really like the mixed media item you made for your daughter, so lovely!

I'm sorry you are missing your retreat, Kathy. It is especially hard when it is something that has been an annual event. (((hugs)))

Congratulations, Annette, on completing all the DTGD challenges!

I agree, Shirl, I'm so glad the double spacing is fixed!

Go, Shelly, go! You can do it!

As for my DH, yes, there are up to four other people at the office - though three are pastors and you never know if they'll be in or not. Two of the pastors are male, I think my DH has been especially been missing other males during this time. There is also, always the possibility of someone stopping by but, of course, he'll be working, not visiting.

What did you eat before going to bed, Shirl? Interesting dream you had!

Shelly, no worries about room for taking craft stuff home, our car was full coming over with beer, wine, chorizo, olives, olive oil etc so plenty of room going home.

I’ve had to order a sweatshirt from amazon as I wasn’t thinking straight when I packed as I didn’t bring any warm clothes, still thinking spanish weather, it’s gets cool in the evenings. Our son thinks it’s funny but when you leave and it’s 36c to 18c it’s pretty cool, nice in bed though to snuggle under the duvet.

GS is going to school for the first time today, for half an hour reading with his teacher, on his own apparently! Sad isn’t it!

Happy Wednesday.

Thanks Catherine for the info on the fold.  I will check it out although I'm not a fold girl LOL.  I oooh and aaah at other's creations with folds but I find them fiddly.

Hi Melody...hope that your day is going well.

Sorry Ann about the dogs chucking....what a thing to have to get up to.  Must be something in the air as DDIL1 told us that her 2 dogs have been chucking lately.  I'm onto my V card this week and will add W.  I intend to finish them this year LOL

Gracie, hope your visit with your mum/sister goes well and you come away feeling ok.  Safe trip back to Arizona and once you are settled, we can zoom and you will have internet...yay.  I can't believe that you are already going back. Crazy how the time is going.  I'm ok today and I'm now keeping a note on what I eat/drink and when I get queasy.  Yesterday we had a cooked brekkie so may have been that...not sure.  All good and thanks for your concern.

Annette, go girl and congrats on becoming a Queen.  Awesome how some of you ladies get there.  I am in awe.

Shelly, I agree, you can do it and also get to Queen status...go girl.  Glad you had a lovely visit with DD and thank you for your prayers for good results.  I am confident that when I get a call on Friday it will be good news and still think it's my gall bladder playing up.  Being off dairy doesn't seem to affect my sinus and I'm still snuffly every morning but not had a bad sinus headache for a couple of weeks so maybe that's something.  DH also gets his results tomorrow but non urgent so guess he's ok too...yay.  I am also glad that we persuaded you last year to join the alphas...you are a natural alpha I think...these ladies are exceptional.

Kathy, so sorry about your retreat.  Maybe you can zoom as Shelly suggest...I hope so.  Hugs

Shirl, we also watch 1 or 2 episodes of shows each night although we haven't for the past couple of weeks as there's been a lot of sport on here and I've been reading or crafting or sleeping LOL.  If there's a lot of episodes and series we tend to watch 2 to keep up with them.  We loved The Blacklist and I found the last episode that they did when covid came in weird and can't wait until they can start filming that again as I forget what happened LOL.  We loved Ozarks.....Jan it didn't frighten me but I can imagine that maybe that sort of fear exists for those who cross the line.  I found it humorous in parts and definitely black comedy.

Jan, it is sad but they are resilient little ones and I am sure once he's settled in he will love it.  Keep enjoying time with him as it goes so quickly.  I love to play with our poppets and we used to do lots of make believe things.  I remember once with DGS when he was about 2/3, I got out the laundry basket, painted moustaches on both of us and we had our pirate hats on, etc and we sat in the basket and pretended we were on our pirate ship and we went on the ocean and survived sharks and found buried treasure and all kinds of stuff.  It was such fun.  Other times we wore different hats as I keep a box full of hats including animal hats and other dress up items and we used to pretend we were the animals in the jungle.  Now with DGD we have a talent show using all the stuff and 2 of us are judges.  Such fun.  I think I am finding my inner child LOL

Shirl, your dream....it's crazy what we dream isn't it?  I dreamt of a striped snake...it was huge the other night and then a unicorn.  Whatever next lol.

Speaking of unicorns, I bought a unicorn die for $2.50 from our craft shop today.  Yep I crumbled and went shopping even though DH said I had blown my budget but I have some monies of my own that I haven't used for ages.  It was so lovely to just browse the aisles for over an hour.  I found stuff that I didn't know they had and some stuff I raised my eyebrows at when I checked the prices...like Altenew, Penny Black and even some Aussie companies whose prices seem to have gone through the roof.  I did find some cheap aussie stamps/dies which I got as I know people overseas like them....and lots of MM stuff.  Don't ask how much I spent but let's say I had a $50 voucher to use....that's because I have spent too much there LOL.  Still as DH says, happy wife, happy life and he knows this keeps me happy.  I have so much stuff that I won't live to use it all but maybe DGD will get to use it.

Kandie, sent you pm on what I bought as I'm too embarrassed to put the full list here LOL.  Hope you are still getting messy.

Hi Linda, if you want to watch YouTube videos on MM, go to our MM thread called MMJ as we post Youtube videos.  I do not think there is a problem with you starting a thread on that...can't see why not as I did.  If you want to watch some great videos on stamping and making cards, you cannot go wrong with Jennifer McGuire or Catherine Pooler.  I love their videos and both different styles.  I can suggest more for you as I have a ton in my Youtube library.

Hi Sharon....are you still creating?  Hi to anyone else I've missed.

Keep creating and having fun

I read all the chat then forgot who said what but I think I read about a challenge using a gelli plate Jayne, I don’t use mine enough so that would be good for me.
Any others I will join if I have what’s needed as I can’t get craft stuff spain with having a PO box, too complicated even for amazon.

Lol...Jan, the gelli plate was on the MMJ thread I think. Too many threads I know. I will be doing that challenge on 15th October.

Hi alpha ladies lol.  I want to create, create and get messy. That’s tomorrow arvo now.

Zoom won't work for the retreat. Most of the ladies who attend don't know a thing about computers and can barely use their cellphones to text. Plus, we actually all don't live that far apart and can see each other if we really wanted. This was just a full weekend of visiting. Only a few of us craft there. Mostly its spending time together, taking walks, cooking and eating and talking.

Morning!

Kathy, so sad about your retreat.  Hugs dear friend!

Jan, so funny that your car was loaded going there and will be loaded I image going back!  What fun!

No puke this morning that I have found, kept my door just about shut!  Hopefully nothing will be found.  Have to vacuum and wash all the floors today!

Off to look at today's challenges!

Good morning! This is the first week morning in AGES that I am typing this update to you and DH isn't at the dining table working. He didn't go to my office as early as intended (he had a meeting that he had to check in for), but he has left the building....I hope he enjoys working from a different location today.

Ann, this morning we have the critter that puked. Not Honey, though, it was Wesley. DD1 just said, "I'm glad she isn't my pet!" I'm glad your dogs didn't leave you any surprises today, though.

Jan, I hope that craft store is loaded with goodies that you can't resist and fill your car - especially since it is so hard for you to get craft goodies in Spain.

I have a couple of warm articles of clothing because whatever I had packed wasn't warm enough for where we were. One acquired in Alaska (I did have warm clothes there, just not enough for one day) and the other in San Diego. I know how that goes!

Jayne, that fold isn't hard really. And it sounds like you are the kind of grandma my mom was. Sadly, the girls have missed out on fun grandparents like that. My mom was that way but she died ten years ago - in two days it will be ten years exactly. DH has two sets of parents but neither of them are fun like that. I love what you have done with your poppets, such great memories for them!

Kathy, it is sad what all has been cancelled due to current events.

I had something else I was going to tell you but it escaped my mind. I need to get ready and head off to work, chat with you later!

I need sleep...just one wink would have been nice. Instead I listened to the radio for 8.5 hrs, went through major life events, thought about my parents, made scrapbook pages, cards, played a round of golf in my head, did the quiz on the radio and listened to all the phone ins, and opened my eyes to see a plaid golf card floating away in the air in front of me.

I think it’s going to be a long long day. DH asked if I’m stressed or worried..nope, just got a brain that won’t switch off. I have never had a night like this in my own bed and usually only on planes..so I guess I can expect to feel jet lagged tomorrow. Maybe it’s because I was thinking of travel scrapbook pages lol.

It’s Thursday although I thought it was Tuesday. Oh dear.

I’m copying this as I can’t post on all my threads lol.  Sorry if you end up reading it twice.

Time to hit the road but I am coming home straight after 18 and missing the 19th hole

Catherine I will check the fold out..thanks.

Oh no, Jayne, I'm sorry you had such a night. Hopefully, after a full day of golf, you'll go right to a sound sleep. Does chamomile tea help you sleep?

Ann, you are just awesome! Where do you keep your wonder woman outfit?  You have gone over and beyond with your wonderful samples during the DTGD challenges and you have been so dedicated to leaving a little love for all those who particpated in their galleries. You deserve a much deserved rest and a Tylenol or two!!!!

I am behind again on the chatter.

Catherine, lol, I probably had some Rice Chex and milk. I have been doing that lately as I have a box to use up by Oct. 12th. And sometimes I just want a little somethin' before I go to bed.

Last night I dreampt that my step son and his wife were going to renew their vows on Christmas Day!! Isn't that hilarious?

Jayne, that sounds awful. Been there, done that, don't want to again. Hope you get some good sleep from now on.

Sorry the retreat is not happening this year, Kathy. If it was, I think I would fit right in. I can't even text or don't on my flip phone, lol.

Linda, I don't really know but I think it is alright to post something like that in the general stamping thread.

Oh, Jan, that is brutal that you can't get some goodies. I sure miss not being able to get across the border to pick up goodies. I have not bought anything cause who knows when the border will open. I am however doing a little local online shopping and there is one store that is open that I have gone too a couple of times. Been to Mikes but only bought Tombow Glue with a 40% coupon.
I wanted to take advantage of getting more magnet cards from StampnStorage, but they are so heavy and to have them mailed to Canada would be almost $25.00. I will have to just wait!

Ann glad you woke up and did not have to clean up! I agree with Liz! You are wonder woman!

Jayne, never be embarrassed to list what you got. We can live vicariously through you! My dh likes The Blacklist. I watched the first episode when it came out years ago, and while I like the main actor, the topic was a serial killer and it creeped me out, so I did not continue.
Ha, Laura Linney the wife on Ozark called it a dark family drama, lol....

Shelly, my dh loved Breaking Bad. I did not get into it. Watched the first episode and I still remember the dissolving in the bathtub, lol.

My dh loved Game of Thrones too, but I got up to 4 episodes and caved. Couldn't stand the raping and pillaging.

Catherine hope Wesley is alright now.

Nighty night to all,
Shirl

Default Hello

Hello ladies,
I was able to finish my last 3 cards- yeah- all 41 done!  Wahoo!

Ann- what Liz said!  So very nice to have samples and lots of love on cards too!

Kathy, so sorry Zoom will not work for your retreat.  Can you reach out to the ladies one on one with a phone call? Not the same at all,......

Shirl- I dream in color- so realistic!  I had a dream a couple of days ago that I was in the grocery store, no mask- NO ONE had masks on!  It woke me up!  LOL  I do like it when I dream of my parents : )

Catherine- so fun to have hubby come to work with you- even if he is working- out of the house!  Sorry Wesley got sick- hope it was just a one time thing!

Jayne, hope you sleep well and that you are able to get crafty with your new supplies : )

Jan- your trip sounds great- and as I mentioned, please do tell if you get to go out to the craft store!  LOL  We want details : )

Hubby is out playing baseball- last night as well.  Great time to create and upload cards!  Last evening they lost, tonight they won big!

Prayers please- if you are a praying person- my friend Sandy is back in the hospital with a fracture in her vertebrae in her back..... She was just discharged last Sat for surgery to stabilize the bone in her upper arm.  Getting up from a wheelchair to a walker broke both of her clavicles, her upper arm and now her back too.  I know when my Uncle had bone cancer, he had incredible pain!

Our Holy Land Trip in December has been rescheduled to next year December..... we had an option to get the deposit back or reschedule. The price is guaranteed at this years rate for airfare and hotels...

I am so thankful to have found this thread- you ladies are so wonderful and really talented!  I am inspired and love that the Alpha keeps me stamping alot! Big Hugs to all!

I’m home and have 2 cards I want to upload and then will decide whether to create or do my list.  I am thinking I will do my list as that is what kept me awake...all these ideas in my head.  I thought of some cool things to create/scrapbook and now I can’t remember any of them LOL.  I also planned on how I could combine challenges LOL

Ann, you are definitely Wonder Woman.  You are so appreciated.

Catherine, I do have chamomile tea and didn’t think I needed it but I should have got up and made myself something to help me sleep.  Time to do something...my brain is working at half pace LOL

Shelly thinking of Sandy.  We are glad you found us too.

Have fun

It is 11:30, a quick check in before I head to bed. The boyfriend has been here all afternoon and is just in the process of leaving. It takes 30 min. to get home and he has to be at work at 8 am. We'll see how long the goodby takes.

I agree about Ann. If I managed to comment on someone's card before Ann commented, I felt accomplished!

Wesley seems to just throw up every once in a while. It isn't a fur ball. I don't know what the deal is. We got her a different food bowl that makes her eat more slowly but it still happens from time to time. I should probably ask the vet about it...but don't really want to!

The car work seems to be stuck at the moment. We need to take the head in to be milled somewhere and that is proving difficult to accomplish. Once they have it, it will take a couple of days, in the meantime, the car sits out there.

Shelly, congrats on finishing your cards! Sorry to hear about Sandy, will add her to my prayers.

I'm still working on catching up on commenting for DTGD.

Friday DD2 has her driving test to get her license. She is dreading it but I'm sure she'll do fine. The driving school has done a great job of preparing her. Then we need to get her started on school.

Busy, busy, busy!

Sleep well Catherine and good luck to DD2 on her driving test.

Shelly I also forgot to say congrats on finishing your cards...I knew you could do it.  That means I have more commenting to do LOL.

Catherine hope your DD passes her test, I remember when our two passed, I was  pleased not to be taking them here there and everywhere but then I never saw my car in the evenings and the worry when they are late home, the first time our eldest took my car, the day he passed his test, he went  to his evening shift at the supermarket, he worked while doing his A levels,  they asked him if he could stay later, he said yes, didn’t let me know so when he was two hours late coming home I was imagining all sorts, he walks in the door and was shocked I was worried!

I’m still working towards the craft shop trip, LOL have to know when to ask else it will fall on deaf ears as they say or an excuse why it’s too far! It’s not somewhere Steve would be happy for me to go on my own as I don’t know my way round here, only local.

Jayne sorry you had a bad night,I hate that when you can’t switch your brain off, funny what goes through your mind, rehashing all sorts!

I woke up yesterday with a sore throat, our GS wasn’t well over the weekend so maybe that’s where I caught it from, not much better this morning but I feel ok in myself, Steve said he woke up in the night sweating, no wonder I woke up with no duvet as he was wrapped up in it!

GS has a zoom meeting with his teacher this morning, it was a teaching assistant he met yesterday, hope they are back in time as DIL took him out with her!
We are finishing his bedroom this morning , DIL ordered a new bed for him, it’s just arrived, flat pack but it’s in a small box so we are wondering where are the long rails for it!! That’s going to be interesting, ha,ha,

Happy trash day - I mean Thursday.  I have contributed greatly to the recycling bin this week with packaging from all the stuff I bought, shame on me. I keep one of those extra large HL bags on my craft room door knob to put all my craft trash in.  This week I have thrown a large bag out twice!  If DH only knew...

Jayne, I’m trying to find your card with the glitter bead panel but I keep getting sidetracked!

Annette and Sharon, all 41 cards for DTGD!  Wow!  Congrats, Queen ladies!

Shelly, do you have a secret as to cooking salmon outside?  I dearly love grilled salmon but DH cannot get it right.

Kathy, there is a local man who has attended the first Notre Dame game every year for over 30 years, he has never missed a game.  He was on the news recently as saying with the pandemic and all the people who refuse to wear masks or do the social distancing, even the first game of the season will not drag him out to be exposed.

Catherine, thank you for the compliment on my gift for DD2.  Yesterday I finished the gift for DD1, both are on 5x7 canvas art panels, as her birthday is tomorrow and she will be 46.  What? How in heaven did my children get that old already?  I’m still a child, in my head at any rate, lol.  I’ll post a photo as soon as I get the energy to get up off the couch.

Shirl, I was wondering if you had toast before you went to bed.

Jayne, you are such an exceptional grandma!  I don’t think I could even get out of a laundry basket once I got in!

Shelly, keeping Sandy in prayer.  Moving from a wheelchair to a walker caused those injuries - unbelievably scary.

Here are DD2’s bird panel on the left, which I already posted, and DD1’s butterfly and roses panel on the right, which I finished last night.

Off to make my DB’s little piece of art!

Morning!

Catherine, hope your daughter passes her test!  Always great to have that next big step in the kids lives done with!!  I celebrated when all five of mine were done with drivers tests and passed and able to drive!!

Shelly, congrats on finishing DTGD!!  I knew you could!! You make awesome cards!  Prayers for Sandy.

Jan, I hope you get to the craft store and that you are not getting sick.

Grandchildren started virtual school on Tuesday and it is still not up and running.  DIL and son have called the superintendent and gotten no answers.  No teachers online and nothing for the kids to do.  So that's two days into the school year and they having nothing to do!  It's frustrating for them, do them hang on and wait till everything is straitened out or find alternative education.

Thank you so much ladies for the kind words!  I do what I can, and do feel that taking the time to comment is very important part of being a hostess.  Yes, of course, I do not work outside the home which does enable me more time, but I do try and make the time and let other things wait till I catch up on commenting!

So I better get moving today!  Kitchen floor is done but I need to do the front room floor too!

Wow, Kandie, those are masterpieces!  They are gorgeous and perfect.

Happy 54th to us today!  DH went to the store, got a great haircut, too.  He was ecstatic at the service at the barber shop, but unhappy with service at grocery store.  He got on his iPad and did a bad complaint.  But he brought us fried apple fritters for breakfast!  Yum!  Later, he will pick up our Labor Day picnic, but we call it our anniversary dinner. LOL

Shelly, congratulations, on getting all the DTGD challenges, done.  I will remember Sandy in my prayers.
Jan, I hope you don’t get any sicker.  Could the paint be affecting you?  I hope you get to go craft shopping. . That is so nice of you to be working, all that painting while visiting.

I agree, Ann is definitely Super Woman!

Jayne, you are Super Grandma & Golfer & Shopper! LOL. You even dream this stuff!  I hope you get some sleep.

Catherine, I don’t think I want to live the teen years again!  Girls used to call our son all hours of the night!  That was before cell phones, and I would answer the phone. LOL. You can imagine what I thought of those girls.  He worked a lot of hours at a Pizza place, even managed it for the owner.  I spent a lot of nights when he was in HS waiting until wee hours for him.  They were open till midnight, then had to clean up etc.
I hope you can find out what is wrong with Wesley and it can be remedied.

Kathy, I am with you, this Pandemic has wrecked our fun retreats, hasn’t it?  So sorry you don’t get to have that fun time.i remember you making all kinds of little boxes and filling with fun goodies for them.  I didn’t remember it being a craft retreat; I thought it was Church ladies retreat.
Shirl, I am glad you found your glue at Michaels.  Mine was out of stock of Tombow, and 110lb white cardstock, the last three times I have been there.

That is all I remember of what I read.  Perhaps, I should give some attention to DH today. LOL
In U.S.  happy Labor Day Weekend to all of you!

Sharon, that's what it is. A ladies retreat. Some of us just took a few things along to work on. Others brought knitting. Some worked on a puzzle. It was not a craft retreat, but the past two years we had our card class on Saturday morning since it usually fell on the same weekend as card class day.

Good morning all!
I just wanted to pop on quickly to say hello and let you know how much you are all appreciated.
Today is being spent with DS and grandson. I hope that you all get the rest, healing, or enjoyment that you may need today.
Hugs

Good morning! It has already been a hectic one as I needed to get DH down the hill early for a meeting of his. We took the van in to be smogged yesterday and it needed a hose replaced so they kept it overnight. Hopefully, we get it back today.

Jan, I hope you are better today. Ah, yes, the concern when your child is still out. The first time DD1's new boyfriend was up at our house this week, they were having a hard time saying goodnight and, finally, i got a text from his mom trying to determine if he was still here or driving. I went and told him he was worrying his mother and that wasn't OK!

Kandie, what lovely art gifts for your daughters! I hope they appreciate the love you put into them. They are both so pretty.

As far as age goes, I have heard that it is a just a number. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Ann, I thought school didn't start until after Labor Day in Wisconsin. I hope the get the kinks worked out soon, it is definitely a learning curve for everyone.

Happy anniversary, Sharon! That is awesome! And I'm with you, I have NO desire to live the teen years again. None, whatsoever. Though I'm kind of reliving now through our girlies. My brother used to get all sorts of phone calls too. And if your son is anything like my brother, he didn't think much of those girls either!

I agree with Melody, you are all awesome ladies and I'm so thankful for your friendship!

Enjoy your son and grandson, Annette.

I'd better switch to work mode.

Good morning and Happy Anniversary Sharon! Sorry you could not find glue or cardstock. That would bug me!

Kandie your artwork is so inspiring. I love the looks you created!

Washing sheets and on my last cup of tea.

We are not back to sunshine in the morning and will have several days of it they say. Yay! What a difference sunshine makes!

Linda, I am sure if you did something they didn't want, they would kindly let you know. Ha, you won't get kicked off the site!

Jan you have to get better so you can craft shop!

Our friend is bringing us tomatoes from his garden this morning. One variety is all tomato meaning no seeds or gushy stuff. They are so good!

Off to do nothing, lol.

Sharon Happy anniversary, hope you enjoy your day.

We’ve finished painting GSs bedroom, I painted the last wall while Steve and our son made a soak away on the patio, it floods when it rains and makes it mossy, Steve brings his tools, angle grinder, circular saw, you name it we bring it. They finished that and our son did the second coat of paint, I played soldiers with GS, did two jigsaws, and made up a game with a plastic tube, which he thought it was hilarious, his teacher did the zoom call he stayed for a minute and ran off, he told me he felt shy!!

Ha, Jan, good for your GS to say that! Where are you again, in Britain? Sorry, I have a hard time keeping up with all the details!

Well, nothing consisted of making the bed, a greek salad and a bean salad. I am done for the day, lol..

Going to hopefully get a card of some sort made.

Sharon, in Canada too it is Labor Day. Plans so far is to meet another couple for a walk and some lunch at a craft brewery on Sunday.

DB’s gift.  Much nicer IRL.  The sunshine was bleaching out the colors, and the motorcycle is silver metallic fine marker.

Kandie your gifts for your family are amazing. You are rocking MM and I love seeing what you create.

Jan are you feeling better today?  It sounds as though you are still having fun. I do not need to be enabled..repeat..I do not need to be enabled lol.

I second Melody’s awesome message. I love this site and although we have never met, I feel I know you all.  If I ever get your way one day I would make an effort to try and have a cuppa with you...or maybe a wine if it’s Gracie or Shelly..lol.

I’ve now forgotten What I was going to say. Oh I did crash and slept well last night but I am determined to make a list and schedule as I have too much on my brain and need to dump it..then do it lol.  I’m really good at saying what I’m going to do.

Catherine, how did DD2 go with her test?
Happy anniversary to dear Sharon and Larry..awesome achievement. Enjoy your special day.
Happy Labour day to you all..have fun.

Big hugs

Default Hello

Hello!

Checking in late evening- before bedtime : )

Sharon- Happy Anniversary!  I wrote down 45 (you know I transpose numbers), but how can you be married 54 years and be so young???  How awesome!  My parents were in their late 70's at 50 yrs married!  (I will be 78 at 50 yrs married!).
Glad Hubby got some of your attention today : )  Did he walk with you?  Are you doing anything special for your Anniversary other than Apple Fritters?

Kandie- my favorite things I have of my Mother's are the porcelain she painted- nothing better than items from another's heart!
As for the grill, hubby monitors the temp, (350 for Salmon) and he puts the Salmon on foil, sprinkles on a little Olive Oil and cooks it for the same time as I would cook it in the oven.  Fresh Atlantic Salmon cooks faster than Farm Salmon.

Jayne- were you able to check anything off your list today???
My neighbor uses a tea called Tulsi Sleep which is Organic and from India to help her sleep. I have not tried it yet, but she gave me some : )

Jan- you and Jayne are really having fun and giving me ideas for the little one!  We decided to drive out to Colorado in late October and visit the baby- Oh and DS and DIL as well : )
Did the bed rails show up?  Are you feeling better?

Catherine- hope DD2's test went well for her drivers license. Please do tell- what does it mean to get your car smogged???

I woke up all stuffed up, voice raspy and low grade temp.  As the day went on, feeling better- hope I am not cooking up a sinus infection!  We have a get-away to a small cottage on Lake Michigan in 4 days- leaving Monday- I cannot get sick!

We heard today that my brother Kevin- who is one year older than I am- has Covid. He is a retired detective and now works as a supervisor at the 911 call center.  He does have underlying medical issues - but not diabetes, and he is a bit chubby too.....  Oh boy!  I have not seen him since last Christmas. SO far, he just has a sore throat and muscle aches.....  Prayers, Prayers, Prayers!!!

Waving hello to all!

Shelly

Shelly, I looked up the car smogged thing.  It's something to do with emission testing.  Apparently not required in most states.

Prayers for your brother.

Feeling much better today thank you ladies, my nose is a little blocked but no sore throat thank goodness.

Shelly sorry to hear your brother has the virus, it’s worrying, I was worried when I had a sore throat but thankfully no other symptoms.

It’s our 50th next year , I will be 68, our son who is 48 has only been married for six years says it’s mind boggling, ha,ha, I was 14 when we met, I told our son the worst thing is still laughing at his jokes!!

Kandie your gift is gorgeous, makes me miss my craft room,

Well only one parcel arrived so not sure about the bed, We said they should open the box and check the contents in case they need to send it back and get another one but DIL said there’s no need!! so we shall see when it needs setting up on Monday when the mattress arrives.

Our son is taking GS to London today to the History Museum as they have Dinosaurs etc in there, they are going on the train as our son has a season ticket and GS is free, mich quicker than driving although it’s still 90 minutes, he said we can have the day off!
