Afternoon all!

Kathy, I hate when I leave a kleenex in a pocket and it gets on everything in the wash. What a mess! Sorry you had to sleep on the floor more than one night.

Ann, Yay! your washer arrived! So smart to get your cooking done ahead of time!

Gracie, we live near the coast of B.C. so we do get snow, but not like further up north. It is windy here today but sunny and bright!

Catherine, love the trees in the background of your deck! Did you get that idea for your card from that, maybe subconsciously, right? that you made for the fishermen?

I got 11 sheets of glitter c.s. all different colors. I saved something like 13 dollars. Gracie, I am like an old crow, lol,,,,,I love the glitter too! Not that you are an old crow, lol!

Hi Shelly, Jayne the declutter queen!, Victoria, Melody, Sharon, Dagmar and all.

Yay, Ann, so glad your washer arrived! I am in prep mode, getting ready for surgery. I'm like Santa....making a list and checking it twice!

Ann, glad you got your washer delivered and the snow is light with all that wind...don't need blizzards conditions!

Beautiful photo of your deck and the woods Catherine. I'm sure we'll be seeing that snow on Friday if not sooner.

Glad you got your glitter paper Shirl! I guess I'm like an old crow too, because I love glitter and shiny things! LOL

DH is off getting another load of rock. We emptied 2 trailers today. One more and we are done for the day!

Hi Shirl! I look forward to seeing your glittered cs turn into cards.

I don't think I got the idea for the trees from my back yard. Really, I was just thinking of a favorite mountain lake from my childhood and it is surrounded by trees. Gorgeous area in Eastern Oregon.

Kathy, I should be making my list and checking it for tomorrow but, this year, I seem to be procrastinating. I did get out to a market near our house that had something I needed, thankfully.

Wow, Gracie! How many trailers of rock will you have moved by the time you are done? What a great workout for you, though I'm sure you'll be very thankful to be completely done.

If you look at the bottom left corner of the photo of our snow, you can see the color I painted the deck. We never made it to the hand rails...

It is a good thing DH took one of those trees down. He was just taking it down because it was too close to the house but I can see that it was rotting in the center.

Today he is busy underneath the house wrapping/insulating the hot water pipes and then he is putting in vent covers. He is also going to replace the security door knob and lock. We haven't had a door knob in there for a number of weeks because it quit working. The deadbolt still worked but the doorknob wouldn't turn and DH couldn't fix it so he just took it out. It is a critical door because that is the way to Honey's outdoor bathroom area. He is definitely getting a lot done this week.

Catherine, your DH sounds handy just like my guy! We have done 12 trailer loads so far this past week. Each trailer load was about 2 tons of rock! Probably 6 more. We are expecting rain and then snow, so we'll get to see if all our work helped with the drainage issues. I sure hope so!!!

I was laughing so hard when I read what you wrote about me being "buff". That is hilarious! I'm just persistent...one shovel full at a time. No muscles here. ROFLOL

Laughter is good medicine...after moving so many tons of rocks, you've got to have SOME muscles!

I think Al Roker needs to clean up his every day language! He said the F word during the Macy's parade! If it slips so easily, I believe he probably uses it a lot. I found a report from April that said he did the same thing on TV. Guess he didn't know his microphone was on, but if he would stop using it, he wouldn't have to worry about it slipping.

Oh my goodness! Between our move and my bad memory, I have been away from the Alphabet challenge for way too long! So I'm way behind. I will try to do a few of the letters to catch up, but maybe I'll just move forward from here and catch up as I can.
I read through some of the chat thread - Read about skunks, rock shoveling, new washer, new laptop, gas vs. electric stoves (I'm all for gas. Had to live with electric again for 5 years in the house we rented. In order to have gas here we had to go with propane, which burns hotter, but its gas! Yay!) My reading continued with allergies ( I have the dust and mold thing, too), snow storms and trips out in it, sick doggies and tissue in laundry (which my husband is famous for) and I prefer the no lotion tissues as well!
So I think I'm caught up somewhat. I hope you all in the US have had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Our daughter is coming tomorrow so we are eating the bird on Saturday! I have to bake pies tomorrow morning and start the stuffing, etc. But I get help by afternoon so all is good. I'm looking forward to turkey sandwiches!
I may even have to wait another week, because we leave on Sunday morning for a week of vacation. Hiking in the Valley of Fire and seeing the decorations in Las Vegas. Maybe take in a show if we have time. So if I get anything made tonight I'll come back and put it up. Have a great weekend!

Good Black Friday morning! Anyone shopping? Not me.

Jayne, I understand you admiring your organized cupboards! I do the same thing...even take pictures so I can remember when everything gets messed up again! LOL

Sis, praying for your MIL and Ohana! Hugs Tita.

Kandie, thinking of and missing you every day! Hugs and prayers!

Kathy, I'll bet you wish your surgery was over and done. I hate the waiting part.

Hi Sharon, Pat, Ann, Shelly, Catherine, Shirl, Melody and anyone I've missed!

I did a little shopping, but not much. I mainly wanted to go to Verizon to pay my bill. Got lucky there. A lady taught me how to pay at the kiosk so I didn't have to wait! It was busy!

Then went to Michaels. Only bought some washi tape. Found a short line. Target was super busy, but I must admit, they have a great system going there. When I got in line it was all the way back to cosmetics. They have white chain link fence up And we were weaved back through cosmetics and then back out to the main aisle. But even though it looked like I was going to have a long wait, I was out in minutes! I'm glad because all I bought was candy and my back and legs were hurting pretty good.

Hi everyone! I hit the deck working this morning - finishing the cleaning up from yesterday's big meal. Jayne, no turkeys were harmed in our meal! Also, doing laundry and other assorted chores. I did just upload my B card so I'm current. Yay!

Vickster, so sorry to hear about your MIL, continued prayers for all of you!

Pat, welcome back. Moving? Yuck...have you updated your current address with Ann?

Gracie and Jayne, I'm sure you two would have fun together...but would you get anything done?

Jayne, I also like to look at something that is newly organized and admire the result of my labor!

No Black Friday shopping for me today. DD1, poor thing, has had to brave the shoppers because she has been working at Starbucks today - 6:15 am - 2:45 pm. She called me and said, "I hate people." She told me some genius in the drive through line started honking because, apparently, the line wasn't moving quickly enough to suit them. Good grief, if the line is crazy long, don't get in it! It makes no sense to me to be rude to the employees...they ARE making food/drink for you after all!

Kathy, my favorite systems for stores is for them to have a single line for all the checkers. Then you don't have to stand there and hope you pick out the fast checker!

Wonderful leftovers for super tonight. We are just as stuffed as we were yesterday! Tomorrow we start with the turkey but I still have sweet potatoes and green bean casserole left to go with my sandwich. Good news, I have finished one of my projects. I followed a tutorial on you tube to make magnetic covers for 3x3 “ yellow sticky notes. I made 44 of them. I will take them to our ladies potluck .bible study .Monday night. Then they will be put in baskets for our shut ins. It took me till I had made ten of them to get them perfected. LOL. So ten people’s won’t be as nice. LOL. Now , to the next project, which I should have done by Monday. Then, I can do challenges again. I am one a one track minded person. LOL
Maybe I will take a photo of my project and upload in my gallery later. Good night.

Cute video Kathy!

Good morning all. No crafting today. Off to sale to hopefully sell some! We had 6 inches of snow yesterday. They are not used to that in Arizona, so who knows how many people will venture out. Have a great day!

Precious,, Kathy!
Snow, Gracie? You aren’t inFlagstaff, are you? LOL. Good luck on your sale.
I didn’t shop Black Friday, or any kind.ntoday, though , I am going to my scrapbbok store that sponsored the craft garage sale, where my credit is from the sale, because they have store wide 20% off. Good time to use some of my credit. I am thinking TH oxide sprays.
I love swapping old stuff for new! LOL. Then a live scrapbooking event with Alice Boll. I can watch while I work on my other project.
Have a great Saturday.

I've been outside battening down the hatches. We are supposed to get snow tomorrow so I took recycling uptown, burned trash, did laundry, did dishes, clean the kitty's litter area and put the windshield cover on my car. I'm not planning to go anywhere now before Tuesday. I also checked in with mom to see what outside stuff she needed help with. And I gave my sister the nightcrawlers that were in my fridge! We store them there until we need them for fishing, but they've been in there a while and I figured rather than let them die, she can feed them to her ducks! They were gone in seconds.

Evening everyone!

Today it was watching Teresa and Jack in an ice skating competition. Teresa got second place in her division and Jack got third. So fun to see our grandchildren have fun and are good sports too!

Kathy, that is a darling video! Smart child to tell his mom to eat something from the freezer!! Too cute!

Victoria, hugs and prayers for your family during this sad time!

Karen, good to see you checking in!! Hugs dear friend!

Sharon, glad you are getting things done! Lets see pictures!!

Hi Dagmar! What are you up to?

How many have their Christmas trees up already? We do! We beat our oldest son this year! Put we were going through holiday decorations to get rid of stuff so there was a method to our madness of getting things up early.

Today our number one son said, no more prelit trees for them! He was so mad that the lights were all not working on the tree! He said they spent hours taking them all off their tree, with cuts and sore hands.

Gracie, sorry for all the snow, you are getting more then in Wisconsin!

Catherine, people are so rude sometimes and do not think of the employees, especially during the holidays.

I did some online shopping, would have been done already with Christmas shopping but no lists from second son for his three daughters! Done now except for our two youngest sons. They are too hard to buy for since they get themselves anything they want!

Off to hopefully make a card, haven't done any all week, I'm in withdrawal!

Hi everyone! Sadly, almost all of the Thanksgiving leftovers have been consumed in our house which means back to cooking for me. Bummer! They were tasty while they lasted.
Today they closed the freeway between where I live and Reno, NV because of snow. They were checking all the semis to verify they had chains but then turning them around three exits before ours because they aren't letting them through. I don't know if the freeway is closed to all traffic or just to the semis. Winter has arrived. However, even though it was 33 degrees when I got up, that is quite a bit warmer than my hometown which was only 13 degrees when I got up this morning. I track their weather with my phone for nostalgia reasons.

Gracie, wow, 6 inches? You got more snow than we did! Hope your sale went well in spite of the snow.

So Sharon, did you stick with TH oxide sprays? What did you spend your credit on?

Kathy, that is funny that we had snow at our house before you have gotten snow. Or did you get it already and I forgot?

Hi Dagmar, what are you up to this weekend?

Congrats to your grandkids, Ann! That is fabulous! DD2 has been asking when we are going to decorate for Christmas. I have given her a couple of answers. First, that I tend to wait until after DH's birthday which is Dec. 8th. Though he said he doesn't mind the house being decorated. My other answer was that we can't have a tree because I like my ornaments and she has brought a kitten into our house!

I need to buy metal letters - maybe two feet tall - that spell ditto and then an arrow pointing to our neighbor's house. They have nice outdoor lights and decor for Christmas (they also decorate it up for Halloween). I'm hoping to get some exterior lights up this year but don't know if it will happen. I thought ditto with an arrow would be fun!

No snow yet, Catherine, so yes you beat us! We are supposed to get some tonight or tomorrow.

I can't do ditto, although my cousin down the road usually decorates some. With no small kids in the neighborhood, people don't do much around here. The only decorations I have out are the globes I made for the crystal ball tutorial right before falliday fest. And if I get time I'll be taking them up to the thrift store. After all, I did buy the glass there in order to make them! LOL

Good idea Catherine! You could have "ditto" outlined with lights!

Ann, fun watching the grandkids! You are on top of things...tree up and cards mailed! I'm impressed.

Sale was very slow today so my friend and I played mahjong. We are there again tomorrow and it's suppose to be in the 50's so, hopefully, we'll have more people and sales.

Sharon, we are up in the mountains, elevation 5,000 feet. We are a bit southeast of Flagstaff. We usually get snow a couple times a winter, but it doesn't last.

Kathy, glad you are prepared for snow.

Hello Dagmar, your probably sleeping now.

Ditto! I love it, Catherine!

We have our tree up, lights on, and so far just a few ornaments. Working on it. Ann, my DH is the same way about the tree lights. He absolutely hates messing with the lights, especially when he plugs in a string, puts it on the tree, and then it doesn't work. Ours was a pre-lit tree. I think the lights only worked the first year and then we had to remove all the strings and replace them. Of course, I'm sure it doesn't help that he packs the tree into the box and then shoves the box down the basement stairs.

I finally got my egg ornament made: IC730 antiqued egg ornament by lacyquilter - at Splitcoaststampers

Good morning Dagmar. Very pretty Advent candles. Looks like a Christmas card.

Just sitting here with my first cup of tea. Have to get a shower and get ready for church in a few minutes. So quit outdid this morning, looking out. Not even any wind. But cold.

How are all of you in the snow? On the news last night, they sure showed a lot of bad weather everywhere. We need the moisture, but no sign of snow here.

Katherine, does your DD1 have to work today. Felt bad she had to work TG and so early, too.

Melody, your ornament was gorgeous. So special with your crocheted lace on the eggshell. I can see a gorgeous tree covered with those ornaments.

Talking trees. I don’t think we are putting one up this year since we are going to our DDs.
Bah humbug! Oh, guess what? I watched It Is A Wonderful Life last night by myself, while DH watched a game.

Have a great Sunday! They now are calling it Super Sunday? Then Cyber Monday, and Give Back Tuesday. And I shopped Small Business Saturday. I wonder if they have a name for Wednesday?
