Hi everyone! It was a busy morning so I didn't have a chance to say hi before flying out the door to work. I was trying to do work at home (for my job that is) and my family kept calling with things they needed. Anyway, finally home from work and errands.

Wow, Shelly, I'm amazed at the size of your twins! And a 10 lb baby too! I was afraid if I had a third one, it would be 10 lb something after the size of my first two.

Dagmar, it sounds like your son was the darling of the hospital, how fun!

Sharon, I wish I could relate to not liking sweets, I agree on the chocolate! I'm sure that does help your daughter stay so small. I, unfortunately, take after my dad and my maternal grandpa in the sweet tooth category!

Melody, indeed, what were you doing up so early?!!!

Gracie, your daughter just had to be different to stand out from her brothers, right? Your pregnancy stories remind me of my mom. Apparently her pregnancies with my two older brothers were very similar so she waited until the last minute to go to the hospital the second time. That was when they would have you in a labor room and then switch to a delivery room. When she got to the hospital, she told them she was ready to have the baby. Apparently they were very busy and the nurses didn't even check to see how dilated she was, they just dismissed her as a hysterical pregnant lady. Fortunately, she flagged down a nun as it was a Catholic hospital, the nun checked and told them to get her to the delivery room. As it was a small town, she said she saw another lady who had been in labor for a while months later. That lady told her she was so annoyed with my mom because she had been there laboring and my mom came in and got to go right to delivery!

Goodness, Ann, those nurses sound like the ones who wouldn't even check to see if my mom was right or just a hysterical pregnant woman! You really went through it with your pregnancies.

I like the idea of the challenges being every other day. If I was in the mode to play along on the days they came out, that would give me time to comment on everyone's entries as it happened instead of trying to play catch up afterwards!

Enjoy that snow, Ann!

Kathy, I didn't realize SU sold Delicata ink. The way they cancel things is why I'm not sure I want to buy their new trimmer. I'm thinking of going with something from Fiskars.

Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well, Kandie. Let's see, your post for Halloween costumers. Goodness! I would be an Angry Yoga Mat! LOL DH would be Dead Kylie Jenner, DD1 would be Angry Justin Bieber and DD2 would be Beautiful Justin Bieber! Hilarious...especially since neither of them like Justin Bieber!

OK, I've changed my mind, I want the Zebra one!

That looks like such a wonderful, cozy spot, Kandie! Do you have it at your house?

Sharon, I have heard that you should keep a pen and paper beside your bed so you can record those brilliant middle of the night ideas!

Hi Catherine! Good to hear from you Kandie! Sharon, my best thoughts are at night and I do keep a pen and paper by bed in case I want to remember something!

I'm getting ready to go to Wisconsin and freeze my butt off! LOL Leave tomorrow and drive back on Sunday. My mom is so excited to see me! My mom likes to play cards for money...I told her she just wants to win my quarters! LOL

Have a great evening. I'm going to try and do some Falliday Fest Challenges.

Catherine, love the story of your mom in the delivery room!!

My first one was the same way had to be taken into the delivery room!!

My fourth son, no birthing rooms were open. My spouse told them that I go slow till I reach 5 and then it goes fast with no let up!

They did not believe him! They should have this was my fourth son! His head was out in the hallway!! At that moment an I told you so just was not cutting it with me!!

I can just imagine that costume, Kathy! LOL

Gracie, I think an Angry Farmer costume must include a pitchfork...

Ann, don't you just love it when they don't listen to you?!

I'm making potato soup for dinner, DH should be home semi soon. He is picking up parts for the van and plans, reluctantly, to do the work himself.

I really should clean my craft desk. I can't possibly do any further crafting until it is cleaned up!

Melody, I don't have a bay window but have a window I'd like to convert to a bay window.

Hi Catherine, my craft room is messy...I'm trying to get a few cards in for Falliday Fest before I leave in morning. I just finished one for Teapot Tuesdays.

That little bay window nook would be cool, but I doubt I'd sit there much! LOL I do love to sit outside on my deck.

Gracie, I get to a point where I can't function or craft until the desk is tidied up. It just stifles my thinking!

Anyone have any suggestions on a die I can use for tomorrow's tutorial? I tried a word die, but when I finally got it out of the die the layers started separating

Kathy, did they turn the TLC challenge from last week (I think) into tomorrow's tutorial? I still haven't done the TLC challenge and have been contemplating dies to use.

Good morning! Still coughing deep in my chest and aching all over, but I couldn’t tell you what is actually wrong. DH says it is the cold weather. Who knows. Who cares? I just want my energy back!

Babies... first was 6 lbs and 19” long. She was early. My first DH ran red lights and drove on the sidewalk to the hospital. I never made it to the birthing area, DD1 was born in the room at 10:30 am which I know because the doctor unplugged the clock to plug in a lamp so he could see better, lol. DD2, she wasn’t in any hurry. She ran late, I don’t remember how much, and came out at 7 lbs 1 oz and also 19” long. My goodness that was a long time ago! But I still remember months and months of morning sickness! Yuck!

My bone density test was fun. Sweethearts of technicians, and we yacked about all kinds of stuff. Then they offered me a free hydro massage and I said goodness no, I’d fall asleep and they’d never get rid of me!

Then a trip to Goodwill and it seemed like every aisle had something I wanted. I have only found uses for a couple of the items, looks like the rest (all small) will go to the basement until I can think of a place for them, lol.

DH really made me mad the other day. Sometimes he is so sloppy. I brought with me to our marriage a set of three glass-topped tables, two end and one coffee, and the coffee table was at his end of the couch. They were the first things I bought after I got back on my feet after my divorce and I had always taken good care of them. Well, he had a bowl of fruit cocktail, and I don’t know how he did it but he had slopped juice and fruit all over a corner of the table, and it had gotten under the glass and stained the wood. I blew up! He went and hid in the kitchen, I took the table apart and cleaned it, and then took Dusty and went to bed, and he never came to bed, he slept in his chair all night! The next day he ran errands, and after he left I drug that table down the basement stairs and put it safely away, and found an old coffee table he’d had and drug it up the stairs and put it next to his side of the couch. He just said, when he noticed, oh, you changed the table. I replied yep, I sure did. Haven’t heard a peep about it since. If he slops all over this table, and least it’s his own he ruins, LOL.

I didn’t realize it was falladay time already! I’d better get on the ball and get some cards made! Just haven’t been in the mood for several weeks, so far behind!

How is everyone today? An inch of snow predicted here, and continued temps in the 30s.

Good morning! You guys sure chattered a lot last and this morning already! Sorry about your cold and cough, and lack of energy, Kandie. Maybe from dragging furniture up and down stairs? That would kill me! Is your table ruined?
Today, I have to return a plastic container to Michaels that cracked when I took the lid off. I had planned on packing stuff in it for the scrap retreat. After that, I have to go pay off my account at Christopher & Banks. Then, lunch, then a hair cut. I hope I have time to do today’s challenge, and technique. Because I have to finish up packing my craft supplies. So, use them then pack the . LOL
Hawaiian, glad you got to craft some. Hang in there Sis!
Gracie, and Shelly, don’t know how you craft , pack and go all the time.
And Melody! Crafting at 3 in the morning? Amazing! You know, when I was working, I could do that, and then get up and go to work, too. Those days are gone. LOL
Everyone have a great crafty day!

Yes, so now I have to do it anyway and I can't find a die that will work work with it. Most of my dies are open shapes so you wouldn't really know what they were with this technique. I may have to call on my demo friend....so that one could be late.

Morning!

Lots of snow already here!! Son is plowing with his tractor already. Our hill makes it impossible for anyone to get up if there is snow on it!

I am one of hose decorating!! But have another reason behind it!! I am putting up my Christmas village!! Yup the houses are up and did the cords yesterday, now today to finish the decorating!

BUT...there is a reason for my madness! I wanted to go through all the houses and keep only the ones I truly like. So we have a stack of houses to sell off. Wanted spouse to get on it during the month of November!!

Default Hello

Yesterday, the team won a game- and by slaughter rule- which is 10 runs up! So, we only had 7 innings- it was 90 out, but they have overhangs up over the bleachers, so we sit in the shade and there was a nice breeze for an afternoon game. Today, it is 90 again and the game is at 1:45.
Tomorrow, we have a day off : ) I am going to suggest a quick day trip to Naples and then dinner with friends from home that have a house on Pine Island, hopefully see a beautiful sunset!

My Grandson was born 6# - he was smaller than any of my babies, light as a feather : ). Still pretty light at 5 months compared to my big babies : ) None of my babies wore anything newborn sized!

With my twins, I went into labor at 24 weeks, so had to take pills to stop labor every 2 hours.... My water broke and when I got to the hospital, I was 9 cm dilated....doc and staff were running around like crazy and the babies were both born within an hour of arrival...No C-section either : )

I am really enjoying making a card everyday- watercoloring everything with Distress Spots and working on a piece of foil.....

Ann- I have terrible allergies- thanks to my parents- and asthma as well. Lots of food allergies- its so hard to eat out!
I would love to see a picture of your home up on a hill- bet that is so beautiful, even covered with snow!

Kandie- feel better!

Catherine- 2 kids born on the 18th! We are so out of the loop not watching the news! I have not been following the situation with the fires and power outages.... Hope you are not dealing with that still.

Kathy- my die for the napkin challenge was a bit too intricate, but I loved the way it turned out- it was a sunflower. I look forward to trying that again-when I get home.

Sharon- your craft retreat sounds fun! That is a nice long weekend too! Do you make cards or scrapbook pages?

Gracie- safe travels!

Dagmar- Your weather sounds a tiny bit warmer than us at home- do you typically get snow?

Vicky- hope they figure out those migranes!!! SO sorry you are having so much discomfort!

Melody- I stay up late alot- once I get in a groove- go for it! I tell hubby it is the same as the time you have when you get up early...just more productive later at night! It is a pain when we travel though- especially with the kids- they are ALL early risers!

Waving hello to all!

Shelly

Good morning! It has warmed up again here, near 80 during the day which just seems wrong this time of year.

Vickster, you are ahead of me with Falliday challenges. I haven't done a single one. I've been busy with other stuff at home. Plus, I have to clean my desk before I can craft at all. Tomorrow is your appointment, right?

Kandie, praying you feel better soon!

Sharon, it sounds like you have a full day planned. DD2 has a minimum day today and she is bummed because no one can bring her home or down to my work so she will be stuck at the school until someone gets there.

Kathy, I have been thinking and thinking trying to decide which die would work for that challenge. I haven't come up with anything yet.

Ann, growing up we always decorated the day after Thanksgiving. Now, since my DH's birthday is Dec. 8th, I try to not decorate until after his birthday. Last year we decorated before his birthday though. Your house is beautiful! Love that photo of it up on a snowy hill.

Shelly, we haven't had a power outage since last week. I've been able to shower at home for a week now, knock on wood. The last I heard about the Kincade fire was that they thought it would 100% contained by tomorrow. 90 degrees sound too warm for me!

Ann, I can see why the delivery people might not like to drive up to the house, but what a lovely house and area!

I'm in the waiting room at GYN doctor to discuss bladder surgery...

Good Afternoon.

Sharon, I wasn't exactly crafting at 3:00 a.m. - probably till 1:30 or 2. But that isn't all that unusual for me. Being up until 3, though, is.

Kathy, I would think you could use a stamp/die set. Stamp the napkin with a waterproof ink, then die cut and paint. I may do this again and try acrylic paints instead of watercolors.

I still have Misti's FF challenge to do. And I need to get busy creating some cards for next week's class.

At first, doctor said she thought her schedule was full for the rest of this year. But when I got home, her scheduler called and had December 6 open! So I'm on the schedule.

Melody, I was totally wondering if I could stamp, die cut and then add the water! Thanks. I'll give it a try.

Yeps Sis Catherine my appointment With the surgeon that did my eyes is tomorrow.if not him his partner as have been the case . I sure hope they have answers.
I've started a few others but as always I'm always on the hunt for things to complete them to the best of my imagination as I'd like them to be . Many times I wish I was one of those that could just slap a card together and be done with it !! Especially those that are normally one that come with instructions how to do lol as most can tell I don't take being told what to do neither nicely or gently Hahahaha I'm totally hardheaded lol Just ask Mitch ROFLMBO
Well I pray everyone is safe ,healthy and enjoying life !!

Oh Sis Shirl hope your well too. I just learned Canada makes one of my fav candies
"Simply Caramel MilkyWay"

Sis Tootsie end and have fun on your retreat!! I'm just a text away !! Lol

Love you all!!

Well, I did have a full day. I am packed, but went ahead and made the FF challenge for Misti. Still need to do the napkin one and the pop up one. Maybe at the
retreat. I am taking twice as much stiff because I want to keep up with the challenges.

I looked for my liquid make up at Ultra today. They mo longer carry Nutrageina. Checked two other places and finally found it at where of all places, Walmart! Who knew! . Also , my pump hairspray no where to be found! Only Arizona in my brand and others. I always used the pump since aerosol was suppose to be bad for the environment. Has that changed!

Anyway, got home with headache clear down the back of my neck! I don’t usually get headaches. I took a Tylenol, and am better, though I still feel it. I am usually exhausted by the time I get to my retreats! LOL. All this getting ready. But it is worth it. DH getting kind of cranky, so we need some apart time

Kathy, I am sorry you have to have surgery. I go a lot, but will live it before I ever have surgery for it. I stop drinking liquids at 6:00, and still get up at least two to three times to go during the night. And some days I use those little pads. Not all the time, though.
TMI. LOL
I know where the bathroom is in every store I go to! LOL

Kathy, I hope to try the napkin technique at the retreat ,
I guess. I am taking a lot of dies. Well, I think I will get ready for bed. I still have errands tomorrow before I go.
Hawaiian , I might face time you from the retreat. .

Sharon, I've had the surgery before, in 2004. Its not too bad. And I'd rather get it done now...

Kathy, sorry to hear that you have to have surgery.

They pulled my bladder up when I had my hysterectomy years ago.

Really not something I want to do is have another surgery. I have had too many already and with bad veins and asthma it is a nightmare!

My tennis elbow surgery I came out in an asthma attack, the guys was holding my head up and they had given me two treatments already at that point.

One surgery it took them an hour to find a vein they brought in the ultrasound machine finally!! It's horrible!!

But going to the bathroom all the time is a pain too, they just started me on an increased water pill! Yuck!

Going all the time is more a symptom of over active bladder. My bladder is dropping. I also had mine done when they did my hysterectomy in 2004. I have never had a bad time with surgery. I also had elbow surgery and eight back injections.
