I thought I was done, it just started another pile of craft items for church, like stickers, and baskets for our Christmas baskets we do for our shut ins.

You made me smile , Gracie about your 7th graders checking out your earrings.

Loved the Brady Bunch video, Kathy. Thanks for posting.

Now, I really, really need to get something done, but all that garage sale preparation has worn me out. I don’t want to do anything! LOL

I did look at Pinterest for ideas for my cards. So that is a start. I am sitting in my craft room......

Sharon, I'm like you this morning...I've been looking at cards on SCS, trying to get motivated to make a card. It is nice to just sit, though! LOL

I spent the past few hours on a project that should've taken half an hour! LOL I'll post later. It still needs embellished!

Sharon, I knew pastor appreciation was in October but our church doesn't celebrate until mid November. We used to call it harvest home. people would bring in groceries and other items and they would all be placed on the altar. Then they would be divided up between the pastor and the youth pastor. This pastor's family felt like a lot was wasted I guess, so requested that stop. So I guess the church just gives them some cash instead. I don't know, maybe people were giving outdated stuff from their cabinets instead of buying stuff they'd use. But I loved seeing all the cans and other grocery items spread out across the altar up front. I miss harvest home Sunday. I make cards for pastor and assistant pastor and usually a crafty gift. I heard our assistant pastor, a woman, is a chocoholic like me! I already have her gift made and filled with Hershey nuggets! I think its in my gallery, but if not, I'll add it.

I need a small box that will bit chocolates in for my sons office. If they are doing what they did last year it has to fit in a stocking that the office provides.

Any suggestions? I need to make 30+ of them!

Ann, she puts Rafaello candies in this box but I put six Hershey nuggets in each. The size is
1 1/2 x 3.

I just whipped one of these up in less than five minutes. It takes less paper and doesn't need a lot of decorating if you use DSP, but it only holds three nuggets.

Yes, Ann. In that first box it holds two rows of three very nicely.

You can buy 12 x 12 paper pads of Christmas paper. You,ll get two lids plus enough leftover to cover all 12 nuggets for them. For the bottoms, you will be able to get four bottoms out of regular 8 1/2 x 11 card stock.

So how many of these can you get right? I got 7 wrong and 21 right, but I should have gotten one of those wrong ones right! I felt dumb after they showed the answer.

I've been going through my Christmas paper stash and using it up. I haven't found much SU DSP that I liked. The box I made that you liked usedmsome new paper called Brightly Gleaming. It was the only new Christmas paper they had that I liked. I will be on the lookout for more at Michaels. I do love SU 's Wrapped in Plaid paper but its only 6 x 6. I wish they would have done that in larger sheets!

Ann, I didnt do as well with the 80's! I had 14 wrong and 17 right. Funny thing is, some that I got right, I never watched and 7 I got wrong, I watched! And don't even try the 80's part 2! I got 5 right out of 35! Maybe the 80's is when I started to lose my mind! LOL. Come to think of it, I had both boys in the 80's so that very well could be true! LOL

I missed 8 shows, Kathy. It was strange, I missed some that I actually watched and knew some that I never watched! Go figure!

Yes, Shirl, I made DD1 a birthday card. I think she would not like it if I bought a card for her. That said, my sister-in-law sent her a perfect birthday card. It shows three legs on the front, two of one girl wearing pants and one leg of another girl wearing a striped skirt. However, they are both wearing Louboutin heels and DD1 loved it. I wouldn't even know about Louboutin shoes except for her as they are WAY out of my price range for shoes, not to mention WAY to high heeled!

The Brady Reno video you shared was fun to watch, Kathy, thank you! Now I need to find the theme song for the reno show and share it, I thought they did a great job.

Those are lovely place settings, Kandie. How are you and DH doing after another day working on your project?

Kathy, do you have any American Eagle stores near you? Both of my girls LOVE their skinny jeans - and they love the fact that the pockets are bigger than a TicTac container.

I bet you've been having fun with your granddaughters, Ann. I hope you were able to get some good sleep last night.

Yes, Sharon, I knew it was pastor appreciation month. Last week was also Boss appreciation day...hmmmm, my pastor is my boss. However, I haven't made any cards for them. I should. One of the associates keeps the cards I make and give him, it is nice to give them to someone who appreciates the effort I made.

We have our first fire of the season in our wood stove today. I didn't think we really needed it but DH wanted to build it so there it is.

Ann, DD1 worked a shift on her birthday. Starbucks gave her a reusable Starbucks cup and a birthday cake pop for her birthday. And yes, she took herself shopping before she came home and got some winter slippers like the ones I have only hers are gray and mine are black.

Granddaughters did not make it over! Which I am thankful for! No not that I did not want to see them but son called and said after taking them to the Lego store they were horrendous! Screaming and yelling and not behaving so I'm glad they took them home.

They are 5, 2 and 8 months!! And at the end of December I will have all three here for 2 nights so my son and his wife may celebrate their anniversary! Yikes! No one else will take all three of the kids overnight!

I remember those days, we never got away overnight or for that matter anywhere! No one wanted to watch 5 boys and when we did go out it cost more for the two babysitters we had to hire then what we spent on our night out!

I just googled and apparently there is an American Eagle at Lycoming mall. That's 15-20 minutes away. So I can check there later this week. I usually buy everything at Walmart, but I don't care for their jeans. A lot of them are so wide in the hips so they bag there on me because I have no hips! At least not in those sizes!

I've been gone all day. We have started a huge mural on the end of a small strip mall that used to be a Sawmill. We are painting a realistic mural of the old saw mill. This will be the last one for the year. Then, I'll have more time for crafting!

I might have to go back and try the theme song challenge Kathy posted. I probably won't get many right since I read a lot more than watch TV.

Catherine glad your DD1 had a good birthday! Loved the card you made her.

Ann, lucky for you the girls didn't come if they were being little scamps!

Happy Sunday everyone.

Shelly, we haven’t watched the Americans....is it worth watching? I meant that the series we are watching is from America..lol. We are debating whether to keep going after series 3.

Still no craft this end. I was hoping to scrap but no such luck as our weekend plans changed plus we celebrated our DGS’s birthday early. He’s 9 on Tuesday.

I’ve spent most of the weekend still Decluttering and got lost and overwhelmed in my wardrobe. I used to buy clothes as much as I buy craft items and now I realise what a waste it all has been. I love clothes but how much can a girl wear lol. I’ve filled so many black sacks and still the wardrobe is bulging. Sharon, I hope you found your mojo...send some this way.

Kandie, good luck with finishing your project. Kathy I hope that you find some jeans. Gracie look forward to seeing the next mural.

To everyone else...waving hello to you all too...have a great day.

Good morning. I’ll catch up on chatter a bit later. Neither DH nor I feel good this morning. We’re taking a day off from finishing the last of the painting. It’ll all still be here tomorrow.

Good day Dagmar! It's probably evening there now.

Kandie, glad you and DH decided to take the day off. We're not as young as we used to be and our stamina and "get up and go" has gone! LOL

Jayne, I'm with you...there was a time I enjoyed buying clothes and dressing up for work, but now I go for comfort! Also, I don't want to iron or hand wash anything. I'm not crafting much either. I need to do letter "I" to catch up and I also like to do the Teapot Challenges on Tuesday.

Well, klutz that I am, I slipped trying to get out of the tub last night. I usually only take showers, but decided to soak my weary bones from painting all day. I put my hand on the tub edge to get up and slipped and hit the side of my ribs on the tub. OUCH! It doesn't hurt all the time, only if I move certain ways. So mad at myself!

I probably won't get to craft today either, as we're painting on mural. We want to get done before the cooler weather sets in. Have a great Sunday everyone!

Good morning! This morning DH and I are getting a small taste of what it will be like when the girls are gone because DD2 is still house sitting - she comes home tomorrow, yay! And DD1 has 7-11 shift at work today so DH and I are the only humans home. I still spent a fair amount of time taking care of critters before getting to my breakfast, tea, and SCS.

Ann, I remember those days of not going away for an overnight trip and I only had two girls. That is the problem with not having grandparents near by! At least that was my problem.

Kathy, I hope the American Eagle jeans work for you. The girls love them and the big pockets!

Gracie, sorry you hurt yourself! That sounds painful. However, the mural sounds wonderful. My dad was the head saw filer at a sawmill so he kept those huge saw blades sharp so sawmills are special to me.

Hello Dagmar! That looks like a great tutorial.

Jayne, I'm impressed with all of your decluttering. I need to get back to working on that.

Kandie, sorry you and DH aren't feeling well this morning, hope it passes quickly.

Ann, I love that your grandson is taking piano...makes my heart happy! How exciting for his piano recital.

I guess today we are going to visit a Starbucks reserve that is down in Sacramento. It is one of the things that DD1 wants to do as a family for her birthday. Later there is an area restaurant where she wants to go and have a veggie rueben sandwich. Her dad had one there before and she liked it. I don't understand liking anything with sauerkraut even though it is supposedly in my family heritage!

Well, I finished a card for our pastor and took it to church this morning. And thanks to Kathy who reminded me of our associate pastor, I took him one out of my stash. I had to put pastor’s on his desk , because he took a weekend vacation, and I guess he hasn’t ever taken a vacation in over three years! So, glad that I took a card for our Associate Pastor as he preached today. Goodness, preaches great, too! We are blessed to have two pastors! And I included that in his card, too.

Clothes: I have grown out of most of mine, and expressed to DH, and he says that is easy, loose weight. Not meanly, mind you, but easy for someone who has lost as much weight as I have gained this past year! And he is healthy. At least his doctors have said so. He has one more test for the year, a stress test, it everything has been good.

Ann, it is so wonderful you get to go to the recital! Our grandkids were all musicians and had recitals. We got to go to one over the years. We are too far away! Kansas to Georgia! Sad.

Catherine, I don’t like sauerkraut either!

Gracie, wow, all those murals! You are quite an artist!

Hi, Dagmar. Thanks for the box tutorial. I am going to look at yours, and Kathy’s, as I am thinking of doing some boxes for our Christmas Shut-ins baskets.

Kandie, you two deserve some rest! It seems you both are always doing projects. I feel lazy hearing about them!

Jayne, you go with the decluttering! At least I decluttered my craft room a little. But, really, I can’t tell there is a carload of stuff gone out of it!

Hi, Shirl, Hawaiian, Melody, Sally, Carlene, Shelly, & Lynn, and Karen! And the rest of you!

Hi Sharon, and Happy Sunday to all.......

I watched Hour of Power with Bobby Schuller today and it was really good.

Kandie, sorry you both are not feeling well today. Hope you can just chill today and take it easy.

Jayne, I hear ya, I just got rid of two bags of clothes recently. So many other areas to still deal with.

Catherine, I have had sauerkraut in a sandwich, but it is not something I buy. I think it is supposed to be good for a person though, cause it is fermented? and so creates good bacteria in the gut. Guess, I will just take the occasional probitic and continue to eat greek yogurt, though, lol...

Ann- have a fun day! Wonderful that your grandson is playing the piano!

I was just looking through a Take Ten magazine, and a card in there is by AJ Otto from Federal Way, Washington. Just wondering if you are related?

Gracie- sorry you slipped trying to enjoy a nice warm bath. And I get it about not wanting to iron. I put it off as long as I can. We all need maids at this stage!

Hi to all who are reading along!

Hi Shirl....and everyone

Gracie, sorry to hear that you slipped and hope that you aren’t in too much pain.
Ann, enjoy Your DGS’s piano recital..so special.
Catherine, I don’t like sauerkraut either.
Kandie, good that you and your hubby are resting. You guys never stop.
Sharon, hubby’s seem to eat and drink and not put an ounce on....us women...mmm. Somethings not quite right. I am trying hard to lose a couple of kilos and this morning the scales tell me I’m back to where I started. I don’t trust those scales lol.

How can it be Monday again. I intend to finish the wardrobe and other jobs.

Enjoy your evening

Hi all, Long day of painting. My ribs still hurt, but I'm enjoying this new mural project.

Ann, how exciting that your grandson is only 6 and playing piano! Wow!

Catherine, enjoy your DDs...they do grow up too fast!

Hi Jayne! Good luck on the wardrobe and other jobs! Monday...where does the time go?

Here's some early mural pictures of the Sawmill...it is suppose to look like an old B & W photo:

Hi Gracie...wow that’s awesome. Sleep well

Sharon, I forgot to mention...glad my card arrived on time and you like it. Have a great birthday at the end of the month. This reminds me that I need to look at whose birthday is coming up in November.

That looks fantastic, Gracie. While it doesn't have the layout of the sawmill where my dad worked, it still makes me think of it. Great memories!

We had a fun day together. DD1 decided against going to the fancy Starbucks store as it was all the way downtown Sac. Instead, she chose to go to the local mall where she took DD2 to a Japanese store and went to a special tea place. She bought some Melbourne Breakfast tea (smelled good to me too) there and then we went across the street to Barnes & Noble bookstore. I actually got a stamping magazine with some harvest stamps. I've never purchased one of those before and look forward to playing with it. Both girls got books. We also went to another store where DH got some new dress shoes and DD2 got some black booties. Then a quick stop at Walmart where DD1 got a heated throw blanket and DD2 got an electric blanket. And finally to dinner where DD1 and DH had veggie rueben sandwiches and DD2 and I had breakfast for dinner. We had a lot of fun together. Now we need to take DD2 back to her house sitting job - last night, she is back home tomorrow night, yay! And DD1 needs to get to bed EARLY because she has to be at work at 5:00 am and it takes 30 minutes to get there.

Sounds like several of you feel the same way I do about sauerkraut.

Hi Catherine, Yes, even though I said I had sauerkraut in a sandwich, it was sure a long time ago.
I like for breakfast for dinner, lol..Anytime of day is fine by me. French toast, yum.

Jayne, I am the same. I lost a couple of pounds but I think I have now found them again.

Gracie you and your family are really creative.

We went for fish and chips tonight. DH wanted to. I had one piece of fish and a ceasar salad in place of the fries and a cup of hot tea. I know fried food is not the best, but once in a while is what? alright?, lol.......Probably not, lol.........

Sounds like a yummy fish & chips supper to me Shirl! I love breakfast any time of day too! Thanks for the compliment.

Catherine, that sounds like such a fun family day! Wonderful...savor these times! I'm sure you do! I'm glad the Sawmill mural brought back good memories for you!

I'm 1/2 German and love sauerkraut. My DH hates it so I eat it when I go out or he's not around.

Well, off to bed, another busy day of painting tomorrow. Goodnight & sweet dreams all!

Gracie, I grew up thinking I was mostly German, then my brother did one of those DNA tests and German really didn't show up so who knows what we are? I have a cousin who says I don't like sauerkraut because I haven't had what she makes from scratch. I don't know, it isn't likely I'll have the chance to try hers though, as we don't live near each other at all.

Sweet dreams!

I finally stopped long enough to find a video of the theme song for the Very Brady Renovation. I thought they did a great job with it:
