Sounds like maybe its in the water inlet valve. As for soap spots, I always fill the washer first and then add the clothes. But yours could be due to not enough water in the machine to dissolve the laundry soap enough.

For those who are icing, you might want to google it. I had heard 15-20 mins, then take it off the area, and then stop for that long before applying the ice again......

I definitely agree that the water isn’t getting enough in to washer it’s a shame . Should have known it was a lousy washer when it was suppose to be brand new and it went in for repair less then a month . Never know when we get things from Rent a center . Love going through them because I like that they insure the items as long as we paying. And they also send out loners while we wait for repairs. And yes they do cost more but it helps when we don’t have enough to pay out right and need it. I’ve never had bad experience with them I’ve brought from them way before they were even called rent a center. . It was dail before rent a rent and we even were customers before they were named that lol but this is the first dud !! First for everything lol . Knock knock I still have my first refrigerator from them and it’s over 30 some years

Shirl
Those are the instructions I had from both my PT & my Chiropractor.

Kathy or Sharon, have either of you ever had the procedure where a specialist carefully inserts ultra fine needles (like acupuncture) in joints and key places, and then run a slight current through them to get a reading on damage in the body? It didn’t hurt, I was there for what was thought to be carpal tunnel syndrome but was found to be related to my neck injury. I just wonder if your pains are stemming from area different than what you may think.

Yes, kandie. Had that done years ago. No problems were found at that time. It was like little shocks. Uncomfortable but it wasn't unbearable. You name it, I probably had it done! Also had eight or more injections in the back. They were actual surgical procedures where they knock you out and use a type of xray machine so they can see exactly where to insert the needle. Those didn't help at all, or if they did, only for a few weeks. I have spinal stenosis, arthritis, bulging and herniated discs. So I'm grateful not to be in total pain all day long.

But I do agree that pain sometimes shows up in areas other than the injured area. I'm sure my knee, leg, and hip pain is from a bad back. My knee has taken to clicking when I walk. And I never know when it will start clicking, or when it will stop. Its not tonight, but it did all last night!

I am not Kathy or Sharon, but I had it done for an elbow injury. They were never quite able to pinpoint what was wrong in the elbow that I hit on the sharp corner of a bedroom table in Scotland. I still have issues with it over 4 years later.

Is yours loud enough for others to hear? (Mine is- DH will say "what is that sound?") My knees are bad from a car wreck in 2002.

Yes! I said last night to DH " listen....can you hear my knee clicking?" He made this awful face like it he figured it had to hurt, but the knee clicking only clicks. It doesn't seem to hurt. I said to him that I wish I could remember what it felt like to not hurt or to sleep a whole night through. I guess only in heaven now...and I look forward to that day God has promised. No pain, no weeping, only worshipping Him!

Hi all! Today was not a good Monday, although, after reading about everyone's aches and pains, I don't think I have anything to complain about!

Shirl - my DH was a towhead when he was little, which is quite amazing as his hair was so dark when I met him, it looked almost black.

Sharon, Kathy, and Pat - I'm sorry you have to deal with so much physical pain!

Kathy - you are amazing! I just told my DH that he wishes I was more like you. He looked at me quizzically and I showed him the part you replaced on your dryer. He is duly impressed like the rest of us!

Vickster - maybe Kathy could identify your washer trouble via Skype! Although it sounds like she might already know what the problem is. Sorry to read that Des is having pain as well, miss seeing her on here. Give her my love, would you?

Go to bed Ann! Sweet dreams. I took pain pill and waiting for it to kick in. I'm not waiting tonight. Last night I waited until after midnight and finally gave in and had fitfull sleep.

You know I couldn't have done it without YouTube! Sears had a video that was less than two minutes long and that's about all the time it took, except I took an extra minute to watch the part in the video where he disconnects the module. I didn't want to break it, but I was doing it right after all. I was so tickled with DH's reaction. I get a prize for doing it so he didn't have to! LOL

Youtube can be a fabulous resource. I know my DH used it a few times when we were re-doing our former house because, while he knows a LOT about home reno, we did some things that were new to him too.

I'm going to shut down and relax a bit and hopefully fall asleep tonight. Last night I laid on the floor in the living room and fell asleep but when I woke up and went back to the bedroom I couldn't fall asleep again! We brought the large area rug back in for the winter. We have hardwood laminate flooring that is cool in the summer but freezing in the winter so I just roll up the large area rug and store it over the summer and then put it back down when it gets cooler out. So I laid on the rug and three pillows instead of just the pillows last night.

I used it to see how to do a nasal rinse once! I was afraid I'd drown myself so I went to YouTube! Its the first thing I think of now. There was just something the other night, I can't remember what it was, but I said to DH, if I'm thinking of it, others will have too, and there has to be a YouTube video on it, and there was!

I went to my history on YouTube and found what it was. I bought DH a new set of drill bits and we couldn't figure out how it opened! No instructions and not an easy thing to open if you don't know what to do. So I said, if we had problems, I'll bet others did too so I went to YouTube and another less than two minute video! After watching the video, it was a piece of cake, but I never dreamed you would push it down to open. And I wouldn't have know to remove the tab on the bottom either.

Linda, you are always a welcome here. Whether you craft or not, you are part of our SCS family. Your mom must be so tired with all shes going through, so she may need a break. So allow her to rest and just come in and chat.

Good grief, Kathy, they really should explain how to open that package. I wonder how many people returned it because they couldn't figure out how to open it!

My DH wouldn't do that, Melody, because he would want to keep them in the package as a storage unit. But I'm sure a lot of them would do exactly that.

Good morning. Talking about creaky joints and noisy bones, both my shoulders snap out of place and then snap - loudly - back in. DH always says Oh Yuck when he hears it, lol.

Linda, I always look forward to your cards.

I do love to repair things, and I use YouTube all the time. Sometimes the same one many times till I understand it, I’m afraid. Or I’ll say that one’s useless and go on to the next in line. But Kathy, you are amazing! Girl power!

Last night I was watching how to do eyebrows! My eyebrows are half dark and half white now and it looks so strange. And they aren’t the same, so I was watching how to correct that. I’m one of those people that if each side of my face was matched with its reverse side, I really would look like two different people. After I had a Bell’s palsy inflammation many years ago, one side of my left eyebrow, eye and mouth still droop. I have a heck of a time getting my lipstick right; thank goodness for lip liner pencils.

Up to 91 again today and humid. DH not looking forward to working in the estate sale house today packing up the leftovers to take to Goodwill.

How is everyone this morning?

Morning!

Linda, I agree with Kathy!! Let your mom rest and gain her strength. And of course you do not have to make cards to be here with us!!

Kandie, nope dislike tea, coffee, alcohol!! I drink water! Its allergies that drove me to just staying with water.

Kathy, that is so strange about opening the package!

Off to bake!! Have another cheesecake to make for a friend!!

Good morning ladies. I finally got my H card done late last night.

Yes, Kandie, I occasionally drink green tea. I like green chai tea. I don't drink tea often, but mostly prefer herbal rather than black. Of course, no matter what kind, I have to add sugar.

Linda, of course you're welcome whether you are crafting or not. There are many SCS members who have never posted a card.

Ann, I so hope your puppy dog is ok.

Good morning, Melody. I love the taste of Chai but it upsets my stomach so bad and I don’t know why. The aroma is delicious.

My new dress looks lovely on but my tummy pooches out and I can see it. My tummy that is being created by fried food, French fries, chocolate chip cookies and the weekly ice cream I get at Dairy Queen. I refuse to have a tummy show in that dress, so I have halted all tummy-bloating intake and am now eating foods that help get rid of it (and are also SO much better for me, actually...). Two cups of green tea a day, one after breakfast and one after supper. I don’t know if the tea is reacting with my medication or if my body is saying YAY let’s get rid of all the toxins. But holy moly, stay out of my way first thing in the morning, sheesh. Good thing DH has his little bathroom in the basement. I’m wondering if maybe the body just needs a few days to adjust...

Pretty colors in the color challenge today.

Kandie, I love the smell of chai tea, but it doesn’t agree with my tummy, either. Good luck on getting rid of your tummy. I have developed one, also, and for same reasons. DH keeps getting these coupons from DQ, that if he buys medium blizzard, I get small one free! We just went again yesterday! I read the calorie count and ate it anyway! But that was my lunch, and I had no bedtime snack last night! (Like, yes, I usually do!, you know have to have a snack to take my pills! LOL). Anyway what good things are you eating? I drink a lot of tea all day! Decaf at night, try to not have any after 7, though. I don’t drink green or herbal.

DS likes turkey hill green tea. I don't usually drink tea. I'm a coffee gal and have been drinking it since I was five years old! Grandpa used to put canned milk and sugar in it for me! LOL He also used to call me Kate Ate Potate.!! LOL He seemed so old back then, but he was younger than I am now when he died!

Good morning! I have a cute dog staring up at me from the floor. I'm not sure what she is doing on the floor, usually she is up on the couch with me.

Kandie - I used to love to drink Constant Comment Green tea from Bigelow. Unfortunately, our local stores quit carrying it so I haven't had it ages. I could order it online but haven't.

Ann - I'm sorry about your dog, I hope Iris is feeling better very soon.

Melody - I also add sugar however, I have found a liquid Stevia that I like that works for sweetening instead.

Kandie and Sharon - there aren't that many DQs here locally. That used to be DH's and my date night destination - ice cream and french fries...yum!

Kathy - I like both coffee and tea...I'm an equal opportunity hot beverage consumer! =)

Back from the vet. Iris has arthritis in her hips, she can not move her legs backwards.

She is only 9 years old, human years we are the same age! Yikes!!

Starting her on a new medication one that you don't have to have kidney tests done every six months. But very expensive! We got a 10 day supply to see if it will help her. Then to find a cheaper place to purchase it. $100 a month is so much!

Now behind on everything and an upset stomach from all the stress of the day!!

Ann, oh no! I hope the medication works! Are you going to research for something less expensive?

Sharon, this morning for breakfast, egg omelet made with just egg and spinach, and half an avocado. Hot green tea. Snack, small banana. Haven’t gotten to lunch yet, I’ve been working on a card, but it will be regular oatmeal cooked in almond milk with fresh blueberries. Afternoon snack, watermelon, supper a small piece of salmon with brown rice and other half of avocado.

Here’s the tummy-buster list. There’s more that I did not write down (because I won’t eat it anyway!). Now I can’t find the website, so that figures, but here’s my list, and somewhere I have written down how much and best time to eat.

Avocado, banana, blueberries, watermelon, spinach, broccoli, salmon, eggs, kidney beans, garbanzo beans, almonds (ground for me), olive oil, quinoa, oats, brown rice, 2-4 cups green tea per day, fish supplement. And LOTS and LOTS of WATER!

And a tv and bed in the bathroom because of all the liquid in this stuff!
