Hi Pansy!!
I remember in 2013 I tried - didn't do well with this challenge since I lost a lot of time.
I plan on doing this challenge this year (2014)!!

I am going to give this a try. We'll see how well I do with keeping up. At least no matter what, I'll be using up some of my stash. I had ordered stamps last fall for Operation Write Home so I will have an intended receiver for at least some of my cards (those without glitter).

Sign me up! I'm curious to see if I can even see a dent in my stash at the end. Going to Florida for vacation right after Christmas. Think I will take a bunch of kits along to work on while I'm there.

Okay I do not think I will have a problem with this one using your stash sounds good. the trouble will be doing the card each day. ( I tend to do multiple cards on weekends) and I don't know If i could commit to the daily thing.
and I think it the just making things would go over better in my head then seeing what I spent on new things as a siggy line too.
how often do you post the cards? ( each day? ) or at the end of the week?

YAY! I'm so excited! THANK YOU for opening this thread, Pansy!
I did this last year (started January 1) and plan to do so again in 2014. Such fun!
My goals:
1. Make 100 Cards in 100 Days beginning on January 1 (Duh! That's a no-brainer, right?)
2. Have a block post EVERY day of the first 100 days of 2014.
I will keep with the guidelines in post #1, but also will note that some of my cards will be for DT projects, in which I have been GIVEN new images to use. Since I don't purchase those, I figure they count in Pansy's specifications of "no new items purchased."

Stacy, I don't make a card every day since I work full time and sometimes there are things to do in the evenings such as church activities, etc. But I usually spend some time on Saturdays or Sunday afternoon making cards. To me the idea is 100 cards in 100 days - whether that be 5 cards one day and none the next....my goal is the end total.
Jeanette - I'm the same way - some of my cards are for DT projects and using new digi's....but since they are free I don't count them.
Some people like to do 100 different cards...but I tend to make multiples of cards so I'm not sure if I will do 100 different cards or just keep a running total. Maybe both.
As for stash - I have plenty of stamps - both traditional and digi so that won't be a problem at all. I also have lots of dsp - so no problem there either. Now as far as adhesive - I'm always running out - LOL!! So I will have to purchase that. And while I do have cardstock....I do need to get some more white so before the first of the year I'll stock up on that.
As for goals for the year.. - Use what I have without buying anything
- Make 1 card a week using nothing but scraps
- Before the end of the year - use at least half of my traditional stamps at least one time
We'll see how that all turns out. LOL!!!!

Zella, wow! I'm impressed with your last personal goal. I could NOT do that in a year - since I have too many stamps to make that feasible.

Stacy--it is NOT a requirement to do a card each day unless you want too....making a group of cards on the weekend and posting counts....My take on it is that a hundred cards in hundred days can be configured anyway that works for the crafter....Last time I started out with one card per day but it soon became 2 or 3 cards on a weekend or crop and so forth. The second round,,,,it was multiples and batches as I was gone from home and my stash while taking care of Mr. H part of each week. It is just a way to have fun and make a conscious effort to use up what we already have.
and as Jeanette and Zella have said,,,,if someone GIVES you something --feel free to use it........

My goals for this round include:
1. Continue to use "retired" cardstock for card bases in order to free up storage space.
2. Use Stamps and Stamp sets that have never seen ink....( I may need to sign up under aliases in order to ever get ink on all my stamps.
3. Continue my quest to make a card using EVERY card sketch posted on SCS card sketch challenge.....I will begin with 177 this round......I am laughing because I know I will also find other layouts and use them....but a girl can dream.....

This seems like so much fun! I'm in.
I'd love to do more crafting in the coming year. After a funk of a few months, I am back at it, and find it so enjoyable that cannot fathom how I went without.
I'm diving into mixed media, and so would make a project each day, but could be card, layout, or mixed media. Also, as others will do, I might make a batch on a weekend.
My goal is to use up colored card stock. I have loads and loads, yet am kind of afraid of using it up and cutting into it. Thank goodness I'm getting over my fear of using patterned paper. I have a stack of 6x6 pads about a foot high, and I'm actually making a dent in it!
I'd like to use my stamps more, but lately they don't inspire me. I wish I could meet up with a group locally and exchange stamps, like those clothes-swapping parties some people have. Maybe I should force myself to use the stamps more.

I think in addition to "cards made" I am going to include "time spent in craft room" - I really need to finish the organization project I started last year. Not as much fun as creating but something I would really like to finish. Maybe an either/or prospect would work for me.

Jen, I think that's a great dynamic to add to the mix - craft room/space organization. hmmmmmmmm... wonder how I might do that.

Jen I did that one round this year. Just getting all of my 81/2 x 11 cardstock organized was a major feat. I also sorted all of my boxes of cards into ones I'm keeping and ones to send to OWH. And I have been finding more as I get further along with the organizing project, so that may mean I use that goal again.

Unfortunately, I don't have a car :S So local is literally local, about 20 minutes away at most.
I'll be moving to Loveland, CO in Feb. and maybe getting a car then. Maybe then we can meet!

It might work out....I'm in Western Kansas......
Wonder if we could organize a swap for stamps on-line....
Off the top of my head,,,,,,
post photos of no more than 5 stamps or stamp sets that you are willing to TRADE.
Trades between posters with each paying shipping to the other. Once you have traded a set, you can add a set or a stamp to keep the number on your post at 5.
what do you think....would it fly??????

I am excited to get started but I have a feeling it will be pretty much all I can do to keep up with making cards. I am hoping this challenge will help me be more consistent with my stamping. However, I think I can make it a goal to use only stamps that haven't seen ink for my 100 cards.

it probably would but, I think you could not keep it in here in challenges you'd have to move it to the swaps section??
( not certain about that but, I think it would fall into that kind of a thing)

I would like for it to be the last two as well as the first.......scroll up to the first post in this thread and see if you would like to join us.....
It is basically 100 cards, scrapbook layouts, 3-D projects in 100 days....and no,,,you don't have to do one a day if you don't want to /can't....you can make a group of cards on a weekend or at a crop and then post them too....

Trying to decide if I dare join. Have TONS of stuff to use. But if I made 100 cards in 100 days that would be about 95 more cards than I've made all year. LOL

I think I'm going to try this! I do okay using my stash and then get the urge to buy and it's spend, spend, spend! The hardest part will actually be posting them. I'm not sure I posted or blogged 100 cards all year even though I definitely made that many.
Excited and nervous now.
