I guess grumpy will do my haircut again. Last time I put a yardstick across my should and said cut there. I don't want my hair long enough to get caught in the car door again! I know. Just so fashion conscious!
Oh this might be hard. One little word prompt for April. What do you need to let go so you can achieve your OLW for this year. What is holding you back?
Lynn, you asked what happens to the mini Easter baskets. They will be given to everyone under 20 in our church on Sunday. I made 30 of them, they have Easter candy in them. I think I will put each one in a plastic bag, just to make sure the little ones don't lose the contents.

Yes Lynne. We will be able to have in person church services. We have a small congregation, with a church having a capacity of 380. The board has figured out that we can have 60 people inside the auditorium, and an added 6 people in the vestibule, where we have speakers. Seeing as we have a number of seniors, and also families with young children who have not been attending since the pandemic started, we will have room for everyone. We have people at both entrances who take attendance, so not onky will we have contact tracing, but also a way to limit numbers if necessary.

i have also identified a number of young families who will not be attending, so I will do a bit of driving to deliver the little Easter baskets to the kids. It will be a nice sunny day tomorrow, so seeing as there will be no Easter dinner, I will enjoy a lovely drive in the countryside.

I haven't been in church in over a year. The rules are that we are to wear a mask. But Pastor always accommodates the squeaky wheels and we were told if someone doesn't have a mask on, we should just accept it. I'm not taking a chance. I've not had the vaccination and probably won't. I think doc is giving me tetanus shot at the end of the month.
Monday mom and my sister can go in and see dad finally.
Kathy your Mum will be relieved to see your Dad I sure, it must be worrying for her but I hope she’s had a well earned rest while he’s being cared for. Hope your Dad is making a good recovery.
We had a takeaway coffee and croissants from the bakery and sat on the seafront this morning as the cafes were so busy, mind you we had to stand in line outside the bakery for ten minutes, it’s a tiny shop so only. one allowed in at a time, when steve went I went to get the coffee.
Thank you Ina. I really didn't know how they were managing and of course Toronto has different restrictions. I an certain the kiddies will just love their baskets!
Kathy that is good news that they can visit your dad. I must be nice to know he is being well cared for at the same time hard because your mom will want to be there.
That is wonderful, Ina, that you made the baskets and are even taking to the ones who won’t be there. What a ministry!
I don’t know of I told you, but our church has even put some of the seating back. They had taken every other row out since we started back last May, and had TVs in three other rooms so people could come worship together with lots of social distancing. There is still a lot of spaces between the rows, so they didn’t put it all back. Today, we will have a choir for the first time since it all started. So perfect for Easter! Our church is mostly white haired people, and I think most of us have had our shots. So the congregation is feeling more comfortable. Kathy, I hope you will be able to go back soon. I know you miss it.
Sharon, we are at church. I'm sure we filled our allowed 60 seats today, as we had several visitors.it was announced there were baskets for everyone inder 20. I had to encourage a couple of teenagers to take one, but there were several white hairs who told me they were 19. 😀

Just a quick hello. A bad headache has been giving me grief over the past couple of days so I can’t stay online long. Hope you have all had a great Easter. Waving.

It was lovely yesterday and today too. Yesterday I had a great walk in the woods, by myself. My youngest girl and her family are in quarantine. She and hubby were both sick with 3 Covid symptoms, so I told them to get tested. They got tested Saturday, and got their results today. Negative! However the whole family needs to isolate until 24 hours after their symptoms are gone. I did not see my other daughter either, as they had a number of people in for Easter dinner on Saturday (illegally!) I don't really want to go into their house so soon after that. I still don't have an appointment for my vaccine yet, although I am registered.

OK so I am still a mess. This time shift to nights has not really happened or worked for me. Grumpy is going camping April 11-17 so I am going to change back to the good med starting tonight. So I will be back when I can get my head on straight.
Playing Challenge Catch-Up for my 4th card for the January "Dream" theme. I dream of a time when we can go back to our family birthday gatherings inside or out, mask-less, at a restaurant, if we desire, and blowing out candles on the cake we share without fear of spreading the virus to one another!
Happy Thursday everyone. I’ve been out of action for a few days with bad headaches but slowly coming back. The Dr sent me for a CT scan just to check after my fall. Today is a good day. I managed to scrap yesterday which was sooo good after not scrapping for a long time. It made such a nice change from making cards. Sending hugs

Hello, Spring Triangle! Spring in the Northern Hemisphere heralds the rise of three bright stars in the evening sky. Like the Big Dipper, the Spring Triangle (shown above) is not a recognized constellation, but an asterism—an eye-catching pattern of stars formed by bright members of multiple constellations. The triangle consists of the bright blue star Regulus, the first to rise and highest in the southern evening sky in early April. Next to rise is orange-hued Arcturus, the herdsman. The last is Spica in Virgo, the maiden constellation. — Andrew Fazekas

I know this us very trite, but I have been wanting to use my umbrella stamp set, so this is what it will be. However, I am adding a twist. Make it a slim line card. They are all the rage lately.
So sorry Carlene, I forgot to send you hugs. And you have been so faithful in posting cards lately. Big hugs to you too.
As you can see, again, I have no sample, but I should have one soon.

I just checked back on our recent posts, and I don't think Lynne mentioned this.
Today our province of Ontario went into a 'state of emergency', which is to last 4 weeks. Quite severe lockdowns. All non essential stores are closed to in person shopping. Only curbside pick up or home delivery. Even big box stores like Walmart have to cordon off their nonessential aisles. Only food, cleaning supplies and pharmacy open. Schools in 'hot zones' have gone to 'on line' learning again. And I live in a hot zone. Our numbers are not that high yet, but they are going up rapidly.
Fotunately, this will not impact my life too much, as I will be spending mist of my time gardening. And my grandkids had chosen on line learning after Christmas, with our last lockdown.

Thank you Ina, I have been having a hard time putting things into words. I don't have a garden so I have been doing a few things on the balcony. I was gonna eat out there but it was 26c with full sun!
Getting caught up with MS5. Masked singer 5 has Nash as a host and really gets on my nerves. Oh well. Not as bad as trying to book a vaccine on no less then 6 web portals! Most only have a 14 day window but when the window opens it is already booked ..at midnight! I will get there eventually
Hang in there Lynn. It was really difficult trying to get registered for a vaccine here in Washington State even when they had it reserved for medical & emergency personnel and those over 75, and then the website sites were terrible as they didn't retain the information they requested about you and you'd get through filling it all out and they'd say your selected vaccine time was longer available, select a new appointment and you start all over again entering your information...this was a repeat scenarios at least 15 times for myself. I got my husband's done in 5 attempts, because I'd gotten a little smarter by then! Two months later, we are both fully vaccinated and so happy about that but the variants are not giving us peace of mind. I had the Moderna, so it's good with the UK variant, but not the South African and reduced with the Brazil. Both Pfizer & Moderna are looking into a booster to cover those variants, but so far haven't hear if they are close yet.
Washington state has finally been opening up a bit in the last month...50% capacity in restaurants, movies, stores, etc. with the mask mandate still in place, but we've been escalating in cases, so there's talk that if the rate of increase continues in the next week, we'll be taking a step back in our opening process. Those poor restaurants must feel like a volleyball being lobbed back and forth and many, many have closed permanently.

Well this morning the provincial web site finally opened up for the hot spots and people over 50 so I am booked! Yeah. They have taken over an old sears store, sears closed all their stores in Canada
Yay Lynn and Ina to you both getting your vaccine shots booked in. Keep safe. It sounds bad your way.
We will wait until we are called. I am hoping I can have the Pfizer one with my blood clotting gene thingy. I’m not keen on having the Oxford one but if the dr says it’s fine I will. We go for our flu shots on Tuesday.
I was sad to hear Prince Philip had passed even though he was 99. I grew up with him always at the Queens side and you always think they will live forever.
Today is the best I’ve felt in a week and no headache. We actually slept well for a change. I intend to play all day in my room. Lazy day..yay. I must also make a note of these challenges. I’m behind as usual.

So grumpy and hunter are off to the wilds. Provincial campsites all all booked up even though it is early in the season. People just want some place to go!
So I had a thought!!! I think we are having a special party on the island. The cherry blossoms are early this year so how about high tea in an area of cherry blossoms!!! We could even dress up! Lately I have been very much an Eeyore but I think I would like to come as Tigger!
