Oh my gosh Lynn! Glad you’re OK. Now, I'm hungry for chips! LOL

I tripped in front of a truck walking into the grocery store and the guy and gal both started to get out and I yelled, "Sorry!" jumped up and went back to my car. Such a dork!

Gracie! Be careful!

I am doing a spa day. I colored my hair, did a mask on my face then tore it up for my hands. Did baby oil all over since it is so dry. My shower has been sprayed down, no slipping here. Oh I may read a book. Murder and mayhem here I come!

We were back to in-person church service today. It was great seeing everyone again. Everyone behaved, and we are only allowedn30% of capacity.i did not get much sleep last night, so I was lazy the rest of the day. Watched a you-tube card making video by Lynn Dunn, and then made 5 cards of the design she showed. Pretty soon I will have enough cards for March birthdays.

Chuckling...I needed that laugh, but seriously, glad you weren't hurt and if the potato chips were okay, you certainly provided entertainment at the store and online as well!

Wanted to thank you all for your kind words on my gallery entries...now I need to get into that stash of Christmas cards I've finished and get them posted first to my blog and then to SCS. I always post to my blog first, because I want to take the photo for SCS from that location rather than directly from my computer. I still have a few more I want to make even though I've finished my goal of a minimum of 60 by the end of January. I've made a few more during February, and I think I'm now up to 69! Yeah...I'm so happy...takes such a load off my conscious and mind that I'll be ready for next year.

I also have 2 granddaughters whose birthdays are coming soon, so that looms now! If my mojo would kick in, once I have an idea where I want to start that helps lots!

Lynn you are getting as bad as Gracie falling over, pleased to hear you didn’t injure yourself.

gracie be careful, good job the truck wasn’t moving.

Carlene thanks for all the comments in my gallery, You have certainly been productive making so many cards, I lost my mojo for a few weeks being engrossed in my journal but I fancied a change and managed four, I actually have enough birthday cards for the whole year.

Ina that’s good news that you can go back to church,

Yeah your passport has arrived! I thought Paris may be a nice change from the heat of summer for you. Of course that is you on the front! Now enjoy and grab some decadent desserts to bring to the island!

Today is a good day! The sun is shining. My son came over and we had chipotle across the room from each other with the window open! Ugh! It was nice to see him and talk. I need to book time for spring cleaning. I am not allowed on a ladder so my son will come over and help me do my drapes. Hopefully he will clean the ceiling fan and get rid of any dead bugs in the lights. Yes today something different actually happened!

Big huge hugs all around

Lynn, I thought of you today. I bought a new couch and a recliner. They are electric motion recliners. It reminded me of the time you got stuck in bronco when the power was out!

I think I was put on this earth to be the poster child of the 'Murphy factor'! If it can go wrong it will go wrong in a big way! Lol

So you know you can get stuck in it. The other thing was the control for the up and down feature broke. OK not really broke. It hangs from the power wire. Over time the wire became brittle and broke. Grumpy opened the control up..cut the wire..then soldered it back together. Then he took electrical tape and made the join sturdier. It lasted quite a while but eventually I needed a new one which costs $107.00!!!!!!

These don't have hand controls. They have a round button on the side and you push it up or down.

Nice! Now put a sign on it that no one is allowed to steal your chair! Grumpy gets in mine, reclines fully and falls asleep!

Look at me using modern stuff! Lol so a while back sweet pea changed a bunch of stuff so I wasn't paying crazy cable TV prices. 300 channels and nothing on! Grumpy got me setup on a ROKU streaming stick which streams channels through my internet to my TV. Then I pay for the channel I want. Are you all with me?? OK! So for my One Little Word for March we have to set a practice. My practice will be stretching. I don't want it too hard, I want to be consistent but I don't want to be in pain the next day. So back to the ROKU. I just added the free YouTube channel onto my ROKU all by myself!!! Yup! Just little old me! Yup! Then I found a stretching routine for seniors that I can start with. Later I can look up something else. BUT I am not allowing myself to put crafting videos on there or else I will NEVER leave my recliner! Lol

Kathy, wasn't that a fun 'live' on you-tube with Sharon Armstrong? I had to keep popping off to message with my daughter. She was in the hospital with my 4 year old grandson, who took a melatonin overdose. My daughter had a bottle of 10 mgm. Melatonin gummies in a child proof container on the top shelf of the cupboard. Well, he got a chair, and climbed up on the middle shelf to get to it. I guess addicts will go to great lengths to get their fix! He is a 'sweets' addict. My daughter learned something I learned a long time ago. Child proof containers do not keep children out, but they are very effective in keeping seniors out.
He is fine, slept it off and will be going home at 10.

Ina, I'm so glad he will be okay! I've only taken low dose melatonin and it never helped me. Maybe I should try those gummies!

Yes, Sharon is always fun. I love when she realized she forgot to add the word cocktails to her card!

Yes, that was funny. One of the chat gals did say, 'What about thel cocktails".
I am so glad Neil is fine. Lije you, I have only tried the low dose, without effect also. He's the one who had to have major dental surgery when he was 2. And he just craves sweets all the time.

Oh my dog! Ina I am so glad he is OK! They put a child proof top on my arthritis meds, I had to get the neighbors kids to open it for me. No word of a lie. New pharmacist. No gummy anything or else I may treat it as candy by mistake on the days I have brain fog

I use something from Costco called 'super sleep'. Actually I should say grumpy uses it when he needs it. It helps but it does not turn the brain spin cycle off. I find when I shut my eyes, my brain spins through all kinds of stuff. I do have progressive muscle relaxation CD that takes me through the process and that some times help.

Oh Kathy. I have a glow in the dark spot on my control so I can find it if I turned off the lights and fell asleep!

Just dropping for a quick Hi...you all need to take care of yourselves...No more falling, etc.!

I managed to damage myself, like a dummy! I fell asleep in my recliner, last Saturday night, watching TV with a hot cup of tea in my hands...I was warming my hands and waiting for it to cool a bit. As it spilled on my chair blanket, it woke me with a start and then I flipped it up and splashed it all over my open V-neck t-shirt and burned my "V" quite well. It's got two or three 2nd degree burns, which I've been treating with Silver Sulfadiazine cream that my husband had left from a 3rd degree small burn (under his wrist watch) about 5 years ago. The rest I've been dousing with Neosporin Triple antibiotic ointment. I did jump in the cool shower for about 6 minutes, but found out later should have made it 10 to 15 minutes, but just knew I had to get cold water on it ASAP...not ice. The longer the initial dousing the better to stop the burn from going deeper. It is a large enough area that I haven't been covering it as it recommends because just don't have a bandage big enough and I don't want tape anywhere near it! The blisters have flattened out finally when I got up this morning. The 2nd degree burn area about the size of two dimes has started to stop weeping and looks like it may be starting to heal, but I'm watch it close for infection. Probably should go to the doctor, but I wearing a small about 2-1/2" thick pillow as a 2nd set of boob implants to hold my shirts away from my neck area totally as that would truly hurt! I put a zipped pillow slip that I had made from a store bought pillow covering, made smaller for my bed sleeping pillows. I tried one of those flatter ones but they were just too big. This small 2-1/2" pillow was a small Christmas pillow that missed the box putting away the Christmas stuff. It's working very well...anyway at this point I'm not a pretty site!

I'm off to bed...I need to try to get one of those DGD card done, but I've kind of been out of the crafting mojo again this past week nursing my chest! I've even lost the desire for some peppermint tea, which I generally like at night to warm me up...imagine that!

Carlene that must have been so painful, pleased to hear it’s getting better.
my mum did that once, drinking bovril, it’s a beef extract, the water was boiling and she spilt it down her front too, nasty burns and sore, put her off bovril after that too.

Ina, I am so glad your DGS is ok. You are right about child proof only being Senior proof!
And Charlene, so sorry about your burns. I am glad you are taking care of it. I spilled hot tea in my lap one time, and no hair has grown there since! TMI LOL

Lynn, good for you ! I need to find the senior stretch video on YouTube. I watch too many craft ones! LOL
waving to everyone. Have a great weekend.

Carlene, praying you heal quickly. I've fallen asleep on my recliner holding my tablet and nearly dropped it several times. It seems I wake up as it slides out of my hands. Thankfully I don't hold drinks or food in that chair. It seems every time I sit in it I fall asleep. I usually wake up to see DH looking at me and laughing. he said one time he was just about ready to take a picture and he also said I was snoring!

Oh Carlene, I am so sorry about your burn. It sounds messy and painful. Take care of yourself and if you so any signs of infection, please go to see your doctor. I often sit in my chair with a hot tea to warm my hands. Good thing I don't fall asleep very easily.
Jayne, have a wonderful date night.
Sharon, like you, I watch way too many crafting videos.
Beautiful sunny morning here. Gorgeous walk. Cold, but gorgeous, as there was rime on the trees. And we had just a skiff of new snow overnight, which just sparkled like diamonds in the sun.

Hey how is everyone? End of the month!!

So cat decided to wake me by jumping on me and boy did she go flying. I don't think I have sat up in bed that fast in years!

So in March we are supposed to practice something. As I said I want to do more stretching as I really have become a lump in a recliner in my lock down.. Isolation.. What ever we call it. I have chosen this video since it is simple. Let me know if you think so as well

Some how having grumpy over yesterday gave me energy. We had not seen each other for weeks because of the covid at the postal distribution plant. Then they had 3 posties hurt in one day with the snow fall. Yup the sidewalk or the home owner had not cleared the way. Grumpy has had many slip and falls in this job.
Anyways I am rambling. I am looking at spring cleaning and shuffling things around in my place so I have room to do my stretches and no excuse not to.

Oh Carlene be careful! Such a painful thing to happen. I gave myself a rule that I only eat at the dining room table. I have a small table beside my recliner for my drinks and stuff. Now that cat has decided she likes my lap, after 14 years, I really need to be careful. Usually she crawls under the tablet while I am reading and rubs her head all over the side. If it is later in the day she usually trills before jumping up so I have time to say no.

Kathy when do you get your stuff?

Did Jayne go on a date? Did she come home at a respectable hour?

They said we'd get it at the end of March. I hope so. Other places are out as far as October!
That's easy stretching. DH wants to get us bicycles. We got rid of ours because he was working and never had time to ride. Now that he's retired he thinks he would ride.

End of March doesn't seem bad.

We had bikes but when we moved we got rid of everything. Then grumpy and T got bikes. T left and took her bike. Then grumpy got a garage and a motorcycle. Then grumpy changed to a car and S got a bike. When S left I think she left the bike. Me I use the exercise one in the living room. With the crazy drivers, I don't think I would feel safe on a bike. Right now only the side walk on my side of the street is cleared. The other apartments never clear their side.

I went and got supplies. Walked all the aisles as it wasn't busy and my anxiety stayed at bay. Now if only I had bought a chocolate to eat! Lol I did not buy chocolate cause I would eat it all.

I am such a Lynn! I pull out food. I find my glasses and make certain the convection oven is set right so my food can cook while I do my laces. I got myself lock laces on sale a while back. I find my laces constantly untying themselves. I figure I will be able to wear running shoes eventually or maybe during my stretches. I got everything setup. I watched the video twice. I did one pair of shoes. Watched the video again. Did the second set. Now I am hungry and wondering about my food. Yup still sitting on the counter waiting for me to put it in the oven! Yup..having a brain fart!

OK I am on a roll! I vacuumed my room and used the little vacuum to do the drapes. Then I had to climb on the bed to get my duvet into my duvet cover. Grumpy did it for me last time but cat decided to throw up on it. That darn cat!!!! And I took a shower to shave my legs! I never do this in the winter. I do want to start my stretching so I am being proactive. I am going to tape up my naughty knee. The knee cap on my right leg likes to slide out of place at unfortunate times which lead to me falling down the stairs at the townhouse. Now no more stairs or ladders as grumpy reminds me. So if I tape up my knee with Physio tape it will not be naughty...I hope. Why am I telling you all this.. Because it is making me more accountable. Also I am more likely to remember if I say it a few times. Getting old is so not fun! Lol

Hugs
