Just when I got my passport to travel to our island, you have to jet off to another island!
Thank you Lynn for facilitating the passport paperwork for me. Your beautiful card arrived in the mail 2 days ago. I love the heart 'hugs'.

Yup sometimes you just need to get away! Lol
Ina I had completely forgotten that I made cards. Was it passport to sunshine or something? I had them on the bench in my entryway then they were gone. I guess grumpy put them in the mail for me. What a good son I have. Its cold here! I think I like the temperatures on the island better. Someone save me a chair on the beach!

I am stumped. One little word February you are supposed to do a vision board. I listened and watched it a few times but nothing is inspiring me. I do have quotes and like the island but that is it.

We hardly use it Jan. It mainly stays in its bag hidden away lol. Ours is a Mac Air too. I don’t like not using a mouse so it frustrates me but I’m getting the hang of it..when I use it lol. I really don’t know why we bought it apart from when we travel, which we can’t at present lol. Even then we don’t need it. We have our iPads. I’m starting to think we have too many devices to go wrong and I had some photos on the laptop so now they don’t come in anywhere else....full of frustration lol.

Thanks for the comment on my card Ina. It was a fun card to make and I have a surprise for you... three more are coming in three different colors...really non-traditional...and I loved all of them! It was a fun card to mak,e and I made 4 to 6 of each color after Christmas for my 2021 stash trying to honor my pre-New Year's resolution to complete at least 60 cards by the end of January before put away my Christmas materials. Just a note, I was successful, I completed 69 cards using about 12 or 13 designs.
For other colors of this card, I messed around adding more snow sprinkles and decided maybe it was toooo busy. I tweaked star placement, flourish placement, etc. until I got it down to what I really liked. I even fiddled with the sentiment shape and backing and eventually changed my first few (before photos) to what I finally settled on. It took a lot of stamping and die-cutting and poking with a pointer tool to get rid of all the intricate die-cut "tags" but I eventually got the system down so well my time of completion sped up considerably from the first 4 for Christmas itself.

Carlene, I can't believe you made so many Christmas cards already. That's more thaan I made all of last year. I am a very slow card maker. It took me the better part of today just to make a valentine card for my grandson.

I also consider myself a slow cardmaker, Ina. With a brand new design, it can take me up to 6 hours to make a card from start to finish + the inside, but because I only designed 13 to 15 or so, and then copied the ones I really liked 4 to 6 times each, each card was faster because I did it in an assembly line fashion.
Sometimes, I would get the cardstock and paper layers all cut out for all 6 cards, next the die-cutting, next the stamping, ribbon cutting, etc. I sometimes started and finished all that prep work the next day. Some days I'd get all the prep work done and then the next day make all six cards, etc. I admit I worked at least 5 out of 7 days per week on cards, every week of January to finish. Also, I have only put in the first layer of cardstock on the cardbase inside. I have not added any stamping embellishments inside nor have put in a verse layer (which I do on my computer/ printer) and embellishment the verse after adhered. Technically speaking, they are not mail-ready yet, but my intent was to get them where they are at first by the end of January.
I really had to push myself to not fail, but I'm pretty proud of myself...I've NEVER been in this good of shape for a Christmas coming. I'm always frantic at the last minute and then exhausted by the time the holiday arrives!

Thinking of going to Thomas beach in Bali but it may be best if we go as a group. Lounge around and talk. Sipping fruity drinks. Just a day of rest

Hi Ina...yes, I rather liked the turquoise one as well. You are most welcome to CASE, or whatever you want to call it, my card. Have fun with it!
I will be posting another color tomorrow or the next day. Maybe, you'll like it even better!

Lynne...I would have said the exact same thing, but I just dug in and said enough this ALWAYS Christmas card stress and being unhappy with myself...I'M DOING THIS! Good thing I like to make Christmas cards...that helps!
I'm hoping get a handle on my other occasion cards and get them more timely done as well by working ahead. Now that plus Christmas might be something I don't accomplish. COVID has brought such negativity and sadness for me...I just want to step out in 2021 and throw all that out the window!
Getting my first vaccine shot sure helps buoy my happiness! I'm actually thinking I might go to a restaurant 14 days after my second vaccine and to a crafting shop with a crafting friend. WOW...that will sure feel strange!

Kathy, is that 3 birthday cards? Because the mail from Lynn may not be a birthday card. I received 2 pieces of mail from Lynn this week, and they were not birtday cards.

Hi Sharon!
Jan, I was thinking of you this morning when I ate my orange. It was so sweet and juicy, and I discovered it was grown in Spain.
Are y'all going to join the backyard bird count this weekend? It can be done from inside, if you choose. Look out the window for 10 consecutive minutes and count all the birds you see. Then report it. You can do it on a walk too. This is the Canadian site, but this is a worldwide event. https://www.birdcount.org/
A happy Saturday wave also to Kathy, Lynn, Carlene, Jayne, Angie, and all other readers.

Ina, I found two oranges on our tree last week, we thought we’d picked them all, they were really big, no pips, naval oranges I think we call them.
we have blackbirds, pesky devils keep digging in the veg plot, throwing the wood chips everywhere, steve now has canes crisscrossing to block them but they still manage it. They eat olives on my craft room roof, I can hear them rolling them around and them they drop the pip onto the roof, picked clean.

Just watched a very different show. "From time to time" part upstairs, downstairs.. Part mystery.. Part ghost..set just before the end of a war in an old family home but stretches back to 1800 something. Excellent cast. I think she is Dame Maggie Smith now.

I must be a mum! I went to the basement to do laundry. I could hear a little girl and her dad in the lobby. The elevator is only 2 people during covid. It sounded like the little girl had to go! So I yelled up, does she have to go potty? They both said yes. So I told them to take the elevator and bypass me. I hope she made it in time.
Told a young lad with a young cocker spaniel to watch for broken glass. If you go out the back there are large recycling and garbage bins. I was always worried Kerra would get hurt on all the bits of broken glass out there. When the trucks pick up the bins stuff falls every where.
Yup I am a mom! Lol

Ina I could only stand for 5 mins as it’s so hot here. I counted 8 hopping amongst the trees in our park across the road. I think it’s too hot for them today. Usually we have cockatoos and other birds but none today. Just sparrows and Maggie’s lol.
Lynn, great cards and that tip for the Misti is so cool. I often have larger stamps and use a block which doesn’t always stamp well. Thanks for that.
I’m ancestor hunting..fascinating. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone

Happy Valentine's day to you Jayne. I made special cards for my two local grandsons. Delivered them along with 2 large chocolate bars that my sister-in -law made, and while we were looking at the older one's card, the 4 year old already had 1/3 of a chocolate bar eaten. He sure loves his sweets. He's the boy who had major dental surgery when he was 2 and was told not to eat sweets. Ha!

That is such a great idea! When we had the townhouse we used to put suet in the cedar trees in the winter. Cat would sit in my window and talk to the birds all day!
