I still have CDs and can play them on my computer but I have all my music on my computer so I use that, in the car it’s linked to Steve’s iPhone so we can play it through Bluetooth.
We’ve got a DVD player that has never been plugged in to the TV! Steve has been thinking of linking it up to the TV in the conservatory for when the GSs come over.

Good morning all (except Jayne, good evening)  i am getting ready for ou walk and it is still totally dark. But todaynit is the darkest it will get. My walking partner has a florescent orange vest that she wears. That works for her, but now that we are walk8ng on opposite sides of the road, not so much for me.
Jayne, I dang a 'Mary did you know' solo at a Christmas concert once. It was probably 25 years ago, or even more, as my girls were teenagers and my baby is now 40.
Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ina, It's still fairly dark here at 8am when we are getting ready to go for a walk but the evenings are light until almost 6pm, much lighter in the evenings than the UK being further south of course. After today we are on the way to summer, ha,ha, we've had temperatures up to 20c but 6c first thing although from Christmas day the evenings will drop to 0c,

Good morning Ina and Jan and Goodnight Jane. I hope you both enjoyed your walks. Now that my head has healed and the staples are out, I need to get my rear in gear and start walking again. We walk rocky mountain paths, so I'll be sure to bring my walking stick!!!

I didn't realize the song was that old. But wikipedia says Mark Lowery wrote the lyrics in 1984 and Buddy Green wrote the music in 1991.

Yeah the winter solstice!

Ina I have reflective straps that I got when walking Kerra at night

https://www.amazon.com/Reflective-Visibility-Jogging-Wristbands-Accessories/dp/B00R3YC18U/ref=sr_1_39?crid=16ZPBMZWO06F9&dchild=1&keywords=h igh+visibility+straps+women&qid=1608568173&sprefix =high+visibility+stra%2Caps%2C614&sr=8-39

The coat I wear the most at this time of year is lilac in color so grumpy can find me in a crowd!

Well yesterday I was in my crap room, I call it that cause not much actual crafting in happening in there. I can actually see the left side of my desk!!!! Today I tackle the right side! Then I can give my glass mat a good clean. You guessed it..I can't see the floor right now. Lol

Forgot to say that you can get them at Marks work wearhouse or at workers supply stores. I got stuff for grumpy when he was a security guard. If you would like me to source it let me know.

Lynn, I heard on the news that it was the planets that were the closest together, but you should also be able to see the Christmas star the next 2 nights. Last night was just the brightest.

Oh thank you but cloudy again today.

I am trying very hard not to get high from my neighbors.

Watching a stupid movie. There is severe weather.. 3 people in a car.. The car is stable and the 3 people are not moving around at the same rate. Cat hates it when I start laughing like a crazy person.

Lynn, do you have an air purifier? That would be awful to have smoke coming in from your neighbors.

I'm glad the movie made you laugh anyway. Mindless laughter is good for the soul.

I miss the like button too Jan.  I love Black Adder.  I watched a little of Mr Bean the other day...so funny.

Just popping on to wish you all and your families a merry Xmas and hope that you all have a wonderful day albeit during this crazy year.  May 2021 be a healthier and happier one for the world.  Hugs

Oh I watched Mr. Bean! Now they have him as the French detective Maigret. Maigret is a serious well read detective but all I can see is Mr Bean with the turkey in his head!

The apartment next door shares vents with those on either side. If next door smokes either side gets it. The only way to get rid of the smell is got me to open the patio door and use the fan to blow the smell out. Only problem is that it is winter! They have been told ..very often. They signed a lease that says no pot. They really don't care.

I am not against it I just don't want it in my place cause it makes me sick. I do have CBD oil that I can rub on sore spots that does help.

I just looked at the calendar and tomorrow is Christmas eve. This is just so surreal. Doesn't feel like Christmas at all. Not a lot of people with light displays, just can't afford the electric bills. I am glad my grocery store is doing food donations, I think it will be very necessary. I usually donate to the toy drive but they changed it this year and I missed it. I am grateful that grumpy and I have a roof over our heads, clothes on our backs and food on the table. I am grateful that I have a place like this to come and meet wonderful people all over the world.

Talking about stars. So I wondered if I should get grumpy a telescope. But grumpy is a camper and you can't carry a telescope backpacking. So then I wondered about binoculars. I found an article that I will share. I am gonna talk to grumpy and see if he wants them. I think he wants money to buy his own canoe!

So dinner is up in the air! Tomorrow is possibly rain that can freeze overnight and the next day snow. So I am gonna just cook it and if I need to give it to grumpy a different day we will adapt. For us it isn't a date on the calendar. When he was younger he used to spend Xmas with his father. Grumpy and I would do Christmas early here with our friends.

I am a silly old thing.

The twins lost their mom's keys again so they came to borrow mine. Lol. I sprayed Lysol all over it. The twins went to look for where they left it. I talked to the mom and gave her two of the ornaments I had made. The twins loved the ornaments but never found mom's keys.

Now I have just bleached the kitchen and the place stinks.

Oh if we get enough snow we can do donuts with my car. Grumpy car is all wheel drive.

Merry Xmas everyone. It’s been a quiet one for us so far and just what we needed. About to have our seafood dinner.......cleaning prawns and lobster is very messy...I have learnt how to deal with a lobster though lol.

We have a small telescope but never use it..just realised and I’m sure DH had forgotten too.  We keep saying we will buy one for DGS one day if he’s interested. Kathy I hope you get one as you star watch a lot.

Keep safe and well and have a wonderful day.

Wishimg ever9ne a blessed and safe Christmas.
Yes Lynn, it has certainly snowed here! I had just got back into bed from a b.r. visit, when I heard the snowplow at 4:15 a.m. I lifted my blind and watched him drive around our cul-de-sac. From here it looks like about 5 or 6 inches. I'll have fun shoveling that. I'm not being sarcastic. I actually enjoy shoveling snow, as long as it is not too wet and heavy.
Our neighbourhood was abuzz last evening with social gatherings (second last day before a lockdown) All the events were outdoors and utilizing open garages. I stopped by and chatted with all groups just long enough to wish them a merry Christmas.
Kathy, I am sorry you cannot spend Christmas with your son.  Praying he and his gf will heal quickly with no after effects.

i will not have a Christmas meal with anyone. However, I will stop at my daughter's place to drop off gifts, and maybe spend a little time tobogganing. They are 3 houses away from a little park that has a great hill. And we will drive (in separate cars) to my sister-in-law's to sing some carols outside her balcony.. She also lives alone, and on Wednesday, she had another bleed into her knee joint. So, she is laid up for a few days. She's 75, but a very active and social lady, so she won't stay down for long. She missed a carol sing at our lical nursing home on Wed. and was very upset. She had arranged it and was going to direct it, but I had to take over for her. There were 6 of us on tge lawn at the home, physically distanced and for the most part masked and the residents opened their windows a little bit to listened. They just loved it and waved and smiled. I went around afterwards to greet the ones I know. I'm sure it was a highlight in their season. Grace (my s-i-l) had a weekly hymn sing there before Covid. And I filled in for her each time she had her 4 joint replacement surgeries, the last one being this past February.
Merry Christmas and big hugs to all.
