OK I was missing seeing people so much I think I cracked a tooth!
Actually, I think it was the cheap popcorn. My lower left molar has been giving me a hard time since yesterday. With the weekend coming, I called my dentist who is closed. They gave me a list of which dentists are open and I called around. I have an appointment for tomorrow at noon. This shall be so much fun! NOT. Why? Cause you can stick all those needles in me and I don't freeze, I just drool. I won't go into all the other fun stuff.
On a different note. I am wearing most of the beef soup I tried to eat. Talk about senior stains! Lol
So sorry about your tooth Lynn. I hope you get in to see someone. I have no idea when I will be able to get my tooth filled. It does not hurt, but every time I eat, that big cavity fills up with food, and I have to dig it out with a tooth pick.

Good luck at the dentist Lynn...eek. No more popcorn for you.
It’s a long weekend here..oh wait..it’s a long weekend all the time here lol.
I have to go out to the PO, pop a birthday card into a friends letterbox so she has it for Monday and I really need some dimensionals for my cards as the ones I bought are no good...mmm..tricky. Can I do it, do I want to do it. We haven’t had any cases for 2 days so I guess I can go and wash lots on return. There’s never anyone in the craft shop except the owner. My biggest fear there is I buy lol. I think I will recheck my stash first.
Have a fun day

Hi all. I flit in and out of Splitcoast with great irregularity. I’ve been reorganizing my craft room, trying to make enough room on my work desk to actually be able to do a couple of scrapbook pages. I can’t seem to settle on what pictures and story to do. I don’t have a plan. I’ve done a few cards but that’s mostly it.
I’m going to take a look at the challenges, that sometimes helps me get going.
Vannie, the challenges are a good starting point and the scrapping thread has some great prompts. I did 2 pages today..have another one to post tomorrow. Have fun

OK so that was fun! The dentist started about 12:30 and finished around 3pm. Yup a root canal. Yup out of pocket. The dentist was very good and did listen to me. They were both double layered which makes sense to me.
Until life gets back to normal and I can get a crown, only soft food for me.
Lynn..root canal..yuk but glad it’s over. Hope you aren’t in too much pain. Dentists are expensive. I once met a guy who was from Canada studying dentistry. Wonder if he was your dentist lol.
It’s Anzac Day here. We got up early and played the Last Post whilst stood at our gate and had a candle burning. A few people were out and apparently a young boy played the bugle on another street. Very moving. Then we went back to bed as we had a late night last night. I need to move and seize the day. I intend to scrap today.
Gracie, hope the ankle is improving. Rest well.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Lynn pleased to hear you had your tooth done, poor you having root canal, I’ve never had one but I’ve been told it’s painful, I’m a coward with regards to dentists, I get so scared, even a clean , I hold my breathe In panic and then she has to keep stopping, she’s lovely and tells me it’s no problem! Steve sat in one time and he said my hands were like claws on the arm of the chair, LOL
Jayne that sounds lovely people in England aren’t allowed any more to be proud, someone’s always complaining, not allowed to fly the cross of st George, might offend someone! Makes me so annoyed.
Jayne, I just googled Anzac Day. It's good to remember those who have given their all in defence of our countries. Do you also have a remembrance day on Nov 11, seeing as it is a commonwealth wide day. Or have you replaced it with Anzac day?

Morning! I slept so well! I was exhausted from yesterday. Strange how much I can wiggle and not move my head. Even so my body was just a mess. Just need to get my head on straight and figure out what my day looks like. Last night I just sat in my chair and drooled! Lololol
Beautiful walk in 11°C sunshine. What w lovely change from a few days ago. Even though the authorities have told us to stay home and not go to our cottages, there were a lot of people at their cottages today. Mind you, the reason they made that rule was so that the local vacation areas would not overwhelm their small hospitals in case there is an outbreak. And our lake is quite close to a small hospital, and only 17 minutes from a larger hospital (with a good ICU and respirators) and less than an hour from 2 large hospitals. And a lot of the people who own cottages here are fairly local.

Glad you had a good sleep Lynn! Love your photos on the picture thread.
Yay, for sunshine Ina. I think I can survive anything when the sun is shining. Jan, so sorry to hear of all the rain! I know nature needs it but I prefer it rains at night. LOL
Jayne, hoping you have a good night's sleep!

Ina our main day is Anzac Day but we still remember November 11th and people wear poppies then. All the main parades are usually on Anzac Day

Tomorrow we can have gatherings of up to 10...yay. Only 1 case this week and 8 deaths in total. They tell us it may spike again but it is a start and we can see the little ones and the kids again. I hope that it is reducing for you all too.
Happy day

Sorry still a mess here. The lamp next to my recliner,Bronco, died. I have been trying to order online for 3 days. My son's birthday gift is stuck somewhere in the system. I did a new report for the insurance company and waiting for confirmation that it arrived. My tooth is OK. The dentist told me to just chew on the other side forgetting I am missing a molar on that side. So just take it one day at a time.
Oh I look quite funny right now! Lol my skin reacted to the dental process. My lips are big and red! Lol

Lynn I had to smile as when I read your post last night I thought you had named the lamp Bronco, then this morning I realised it’s your chair, I remember from earlier posts, I was tired as I woke early yesterday, that’s my excuse anyway.
Lynn don’t get doing any selfies and posting them on twitter while you have big pouty lips, (you know how these celebrities like to post them with big pouty lips looking like idiots!)
If you do we all want to see it! loL
I went to last year’s thread as I saw someone had posted on it today...it was when I saw my post saying I was moving over to this year’s I knew I was in the wrong place. I still don’t know who has posted there. Jan, I’m also tired today. We’ve had a few sleepless nights and today I was the energiser bunny. I cleaned top and bottom and did my skirtings.....my mum would be proud if she were alive bless her. I even dusted and cleaned my craft room. I also made 3 more scrapbook pages and submitted our forms to Emirates for our credit. Gosh I will sleep tonight...or it may be the red wine LOL. Just had spaghetti bol and you can’t have that without a red. What happened to my “I’m not drinking until the weekend” lol.
Have fun

Wow Jayne you really are going for it. We’ve had our cola blanca delivered by our friend around the corner, grout basically, so Steve dug our the tiles that need relaying, I took out all the bits of sand a dirt, cleaned it all then we mixed some grout To put the first level, tomorrow we will relay the tiles Felt good to do something. Our friend said he’s been doing the shopping as Bev was ill for the first month, he said every time he gets home she says he’s bought something wrong, ha,ha, Steve goes shopping all the time with me so he wouldn’t get it wrong,

Lynn, that's what I am doing, tying my best to chew on the left side. But it's hard. I keep fogettimg. And I also have a molar missing on that side. Going back to the days when we were growing up and poor. A dentist in town was known for his cheaper prices. I needed a dental checkup before entering nurses'training and dad took me there. The dentist found 2 cavities and said he could either fill them or pull the teeth. Dad asked which was cheaper and the pulling was a lot cheaper, so that is what was done. I still have empty spaces, bottom right and top left. By the time I could afford dental work, the orher teeth had already shifted, so I left well enough alone. Be of good cheer. It only took me 3 weeks, to 'sort of' chew on the left side.

Jayne, it was Carlene who posted some Christmas cards and they fit some of last year's S2S challenges too. It took me back to 2019 too. Considering what is happening now, 2019 was a very good yesr!
I guess I will be posting May's challenge this week. So if anyone is wanting to catch up on April's challenge, we have a few more days. Well actually, you can do it anytime. I am hoping to do one soon. I still have to finish one baby card first.

Oh Ina I can text you the list of emergency dentists in Ontario. Minimum $400 approximately to get in the door.
I think I went to the same dentist as you! As a child they just kept pulling my teeth. The joys. Too bad the tooth fairy wasn't around for me back then.
So Ina what's the water level like?
Jayne..yup bronco is my chair. Before my spinal surgery I was already having issues with arm strength, so we got me an electric recliner with battery backup in case of power outages. I have slept in it often especially before and after surgery. My surgery was an ACDF. They went in through the front of my throat to access the spine behind my Adams apple.
When I am a naughty girl my son sends me to my chair with the TV remote! Lol
Good morning, here. Of course, Jayne is sleeping. After all the cleaning and crafting she did...all I can say is WOW. I've been a lazy butt with my sprained ankle. Good intentions and no follow through. Oh well, the dust and dirt will wait.
Lynn, I too thought you were calling your lamp Bronco. Now, it all makes sense. Gave me a good laugh.
It sounds like many of us had "discount" dentist back in the day. My dentist loved pulling teeth...he said I had a small mouth! Ha Ha! I've had 8 teeth pulled to "make room." Sheesh. Whenever I go to a new dentist, they are amazed at the teeth my dentist pulled...dumb ***. oops...did I say that?!
Jan, you and Steve are busy working too! I wish you'd send some of that energy my way. I think I'm in a "Corona Slump".
Have a good day all.

Lynn, I am going to wait for my own dentist, unless I start having pain. Thanks for the offer.
The water levels are high, but not as high as some years. We will have to see if we get a lot of rain, then the levels may go higher, but this lake is controlled by a dam, so they will probably let more water through. The photo shows my grandsons on their scooters at the lake today - a surprise visit.
