CLOSED This is the second round of the YOU CAN DO IT challenge.

The Challenge is weekly being posted on Monday. We are having fun this time around. We are no longer struggling with points...and there will not be a big prize at the end. This is just a fun way to challenge yourself or others.

Anyone can host a challenge. If you would like to try it out...do it here...we welcome anyone. The challenge can be anything...a colour...a technique...a sketch...anything you would like to try.

We officially start when I get back from vacation on Sept 9. We will end Nov. 25

SO come play along....or even better...host a challenge.

What do I need to know:
- new challenge each Monday
- the challenge lasts 1 week
- our Keyword will be based upon YCDI2
-put your creations in the gallery and post a link here so we can drool over them
-you can do as many or as few challenges as you want...keep it FUN
-the first challenge happens on Sept 9

Oh right...I had an idea for Sept 9 ...our first challenge...I will go type it up so I will have it ready to forget!

all sounds good.

I found a new use for dimensional glue dots....you used to be able to get those little rubber drawer stops...can't find any...so I put the glue dots on the bottom of the containers in the bathroom and painted them with clear nail polish...now the bottoms stay dry

yup...ZOTS...on the bottom...then nail polish so they would not stick...

Guess I'll get on the band wagon and volunteer for the second Monday challenge (Sept. 16). Since I've seen this thread early I MIGHT be able to keep up with the challenges this time....last time I think I missed the whole first month.....

Hi everyone! My name is Christy and in reading all your posts here about You Can Do It 2, I would really love to join in. I do have some questions and I apologize in advance if I ask to many.
Is there another thread that will have all the challenges in them?
Where do we post our creations and link to?
Do all the challenges become live on Sept 9 or weekly?
How long do we have to complete each challenge?

Thank you for your help in answering these for me. I have been on SCS for over a year now but really haven't been involved to much and I would like to change that. Thanks! :p

I am going on vacation so the first challenge goes live on Sept. 9...after that each Monday will be a new challenge. Based upon the way we did this before...you have one week to complete a challenge. We will use keywords to mark our entries in the gallery Our keyword will be based upon YCDI2...so that when we do a link to the gallery you will see all the creations that have used that word. I will go add this stuff to the first post as well.

Hi Christy! Awesome for you to join us. Here's how it works. Each MOnday beginning the 9th of Sept. the person who signed up to hostess will post her challenge. You have a whole week to create your project (we do cards, but you can do whatever you want). We will give you a keyword to put in your card so it will show up in the gallery for that challenge. I will put a link each week in my signature line that will take you directly to the post of the challenge for that week so you won't have to scroll back too far to see what we are doing. So you find the challenge here in this thread, create your card, take a picture and upload to your gallery with the keyword for that card, and then link it to a post to tell us it is done. If you have anymore questions ask away. Everyone is wonderful here and if you can't do them all, just come and chat!!
