This is the place to post your JULY All Occasion Cards.

AOCC12 - INSPIRATION CHALLENGE LINK
If you need inspiration for your cards, you can always refer back to the Inspiration Challenge Post (Post #10) on the main Thread.
Here's the LINK |
Here is my first card for July! Wheee! An anniversary card. I am ahead of it. I combined mshoener's paper flower challenge with a vsn challenge to make VSN redo. Now, I am thinking "handmade flower" I am thinking "punched" doesn't work. Let me know and I will take this one out of the gallery. I already have one done for that challenge.
:) sharon |
Wow, Sharon... you are awfully lonely over here! I will come by this weekend and post the new challenge!
|
I have lots of birthdays in July! Two are already in the mail and although I took pictures of them, I had an issue with my camera, and the photos are gone!
The following two cards will go in the post later (0ne for the 13th, one for the 20th) Textured lighthouse by yellowrose46 - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers Lighthouse for Lorne by yellowrose46 - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers |
One more birthday card for July....I used a June challenge...to make a card for a male and feature his occupation or hobby. At present, my son-in-law's full time job is renovating the old house they are living in, so I thought tools would be appropriate.

Here is a birthday card for SIL for July. So glad to have this done, and it isn't even July!
Yea! Here is Geek Card. :) Sharon |
Yoo-hoo!!!! Where is everyone?
Sharon and Ina are lookin' mighty lonely over here in July, LOL!!!! |
STARS & STRIPES FOREVER!
July 1st Challenge
Keyword: AOCC12M My family is getting ready to celebrate the 4th of July with all the trimmings, so of course my challenge for you is going to be inspired by Independence Day traditions!!! Since we are making ALL-occasion cards, lets give it a little twist that will make it work for any holiday. Instead of a color challenge (that's what you were expecting, right?), lets do STARS or STRIPES on our cards. No need to limit yourself to red, white, and blue! As a bonus challenge, if you make an extra card or two, please consider sharing them with Operation Write Home to send to our Armed Forceswhat a great way to say thank you to our men and women who are missing their families. |
Here's my first card for July. I'm still using up the OSW pieces I cut out a few months ago. The next one I make will be a birthday card for my BIL who was born July 3. I'll use Jane's challenge for that one.

Sharon, where's the link to this card? Or did you take it out? I may have seen and commented on it, but I'm not sure.
Anniversary card sorry! :) sharon |
Thank you, Sharon, I would have not liked missing that card.
Here's my card for AOCC12M. The stars and stripes digi paper is from Doodle Pantry. The colors on Woody don't match but couldn't resist using him on this card. Happy Birthday Woody by grammatroll - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers |
I needed to make a thank you card for friends who hosted a Canada Day barbecue yesterday. I also wanted to honour Featured Stamper, Loll Thompson, and ended up doing a very close CASE of one of her cards. Here's what I made:
Loll's Triptych |
I made two more cards for July. These both meet the criteria for this week's challenge...to make a card with stars or stripes.

Wow - you gals are way ahead of me for July already. I sort of gave up on uploading June cards and am starting fresh for July. I'm sure I'll be able to make some with stars and/or stripes for these:
- 10 cards for my S.S. class (2 done and ready to be uploaded) - Only 5 birthday cards - 3 of them already sent (July 1, 3, 5) from my stash, so no new photos. - 1 anniversary card - My July CCC12 Christmas cards. I've been using up a lot of sympathy cards lately, and a dear man who has been fighting cancer for years has just been put on hospice. I made 3 sympathy cards to have on hand. |
I came, I peeked, I drooled! Great cards!!!
|
A couple of cards for July, one a thank you for my friend Ali for bringing me some cute papers and decouplage kit, I just had to use them.Tthe second card was a quick belated anniversary card for friends from football who managed to keep it a secret until after the event.

Love your cards, Jan.
I need to make sympathy cards again. Some of them will be for my boss to keep on hand. DH's nephew had a friend who was killed in a car accident in the early hours of the 4th. He was only 18 and just graduated from high school in May. |
July is getting a slow start because of the holiday, but I did finish a few cards to upload. I even made some that qualify for the current challenge to use stars and/or stripes.

Jane, it is really sad. Jaden had a lot going for him, too. It seems like it's the kids with a bright future are the ones taken from us too soon.
|
How tragic Debbie. Just when he had finished all those years of work in school and preparing for a bright future. It is hard to understand the "why" of these things.
I'll dedicate this card in Jaden's honor. Coming out of the Woods If I can part with it, ;) this will be a birthday card for a guy. |
Val, I love your card. I'm kind of partial to wolves. I have some scenic stamps I haven't even tried to play with yet. I think it's time to get them inked up. It's a nice dedication.
|
Debbie,
Yes, do ink up your scenic stamps. I have just gone crazy with scenic stamping although I'm learning slowly and only have minimal supplies. It's very addictive and like opening a door to a closet and discovering a huge ballroom! It opened a whole new field of art for me. I thought I would have to spend a lot of $$ to get started, but I get a thrill whenever I find an old stamp that can be used in creating scenes. So far (ha!), I've only spent about $20 on new scenic stamps. |
My boss ran out of her stash of sympathy cards so I'm working on making more for her. I made three of this one. I need to make at least three more in more feminine colors. I am determined to use up the designer papers I have before buying more. I still have a birthday card to make that should have been in the mail already since his birthday is Thursday, 2 birthday cards to make before the end of next week, one card for the week after that, then I need to start on the cards for August which are the first couple weeks of the month. So many cards to make and so little time. I miss my 3-day weekends.
Almost forgot to post the link. Heartfelt Sympathy by grammatroll - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers |
I seem to be getting so many cards done, Ive even had four unexpected ones too.
This card was a special for my friend, took me a couple of weeks to complete it but she was over the moon when she saw it so it was worth all the effort.Every page is decorated differently. Happy 60th by jan31 - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers |
The July 15th Challenge has been posted on the Main Thread at Post #658. I've also added the link to the Master Challenge Post
|
I did this as a congratulations card for a 12 year old niece - I used a star on it so it fits the challenge that Jane posted for the first half of July:
Fairy in a Star |
Another card for July, Ive done this one for the Colour Challenge CC383 Raspberry Pirouette Cakes.

I've built up a stash of birthday cards from making duplicates and I'll be using a few of those for this month's birthdays. But here's a new card for an artsy friend.

I'm back to posting for July. My aunt turns 80 on Thursday and I have been putting off making her card. This was quick and easy to do. I don't know if this qualifies for the July 15 challenge. I did use some traditional Christmas colors. At first I didn't think this would be good for an 80-year-old, but why not? Young at heart. Now to make DH's card before Friday. I hope my Cinch gets here soon so I can work more on the guest book. Of course, it hasn't had time to get here yet. I am so impatient.
Happy Birthday Donna by grammatroll - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers |
Susan, I love the card and the story behind it. It made me sad. My DD has a blck lab who is only a year older than my oldest granddaughter. They were both born in September. Kaiser will be 11 this year. It is going to be a sad day when he leaves them.
|
I thought I had my July cards all finished but my son and his girlfriend moved in together saturday so I thought I would make a card for them to welcome Magdalena to the family.
Best Wishes by jan31 - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers |
I've been quiet here - but I've been making lots of cards. I still have four to edit/upload, but not tonight.
I've got two more cards to make for July for my S.S. class, then I should be done. Here's what I've been doing: Triple roses Ornament vase Naomi Elements Elements of sympathy Layers of scraps Tall birdhouse Naomi heart doilies I also uploaded my July CCC12 Christmas cards. That's 56 cards done for the year. Yay! |
Val, your cards gave me a lot of inspiration. Now to find time to stamp.
|
Great batch of cards, Val!!
|
Here is a birthday card I need for the 28th! Just getting it done under the wire. I Cased Ina's card for the Queen For the Day challenge. Here is my card for Ina:)
